On me this smells like a mixture of the original Giorgio beverly hills and the carpet shampoo they use in hotels - that fresh yet chemical smell that hits you when you enter a freshly cleaned industrial building. I actually wore this on and off for years as a teenager along with the rest of the charlie line, recently repurchased for nostalgia and really wish I didn't - it is horrendous on me and perhaps I just didn't realise it all those years ago! Unfortunately this is not the scent for me!

Tips: Try before you buy!
This was the first perfume I ever bought as it was so cheap and I was very young.. I tried it at a local store and wore it for the rest of the day before buying it to see if it suited me :)
It's a very strong smell so I only use very little at a time which makes the bottle last even longer!
Would definitely use again, but not as often as I used to as I'm getting older :)
Tips: Only use a small amount as it's very strong! Also, don't pair with any other scents as it becomes overpowering and the scents mixing can just smell plain funny sometimes!
I was working at the perfume desk for a week and had the biggest headache. I saw that everyone was buying this product, maybe because it was the cheapest. But my philosophy has always been that if you don't like it in store, you wont like it anywhere else. The store is where you like something the most. I reluctantly bought the product to see what the big rave about it was. Turns out, I had found the culprit that had been given me the intense headaches. The scent of this perfume is very overwhelming, sort of smells like a drunk person and made me want to gag a couple of times. The packaging is nice but, this is not a product I would re-purchase in the future.
I did not like this perfume at all. Strong scent, too overwhelming gives me headache. I bought it to try as it is quite cheap. Turns out it is too intense for me, I couldn't recommend this to anyone or repurchase
Oh my. Charlie Red. It was launched in 1993 and it reminds me of 1993. I was starting high school and this perfume was cheap enough for us to coat ourselves.
It's a nice enough smell, but I've grown up and so has my sense of smell. This is not an appealing scent to me at all.
This is my favourite fragrance , hubby brought it for me a few years ago and it's all I use now it's great value for money so even if your on a budget u can afford it , smells delicious
Tips: Check out when the warehouse have specials on fragrance sometimes you can get it for $15
this stuff is amazing and its super cheap so you could pretty much use it as a freshener, (which is what I may have done for awhile there) as a body spray or as a perfume - its great!
Its got a nice smell to it and because I've smelt it so much over my life, whenever I smell it loads of memories come flashing back.
Cant go wrong with this one.
I have used this in my younger years, I felt very sophisticated at the time, and the bottle helped reflect that sophistication. The bottle was frosted, and once the silver lid came off I was greeted with the heady scent. I would definitely say the florals come through the strongest, and the longevity of this was so great. I would get compliments all the time, a lot of people asked me what I was wearing. If you are into your floral scents, this is ideal, but a little goes a long way, try not to over do it.
I got this on my birthday from a neighbour when I was 14 years old. She used to sell all the Charlies and this was quite in at that time. For me that time it was like getting a Viva La Juicy for teenagers now. Revlon was a big brand name and when it ventured into perfumery everyone wanted a piece of it.
The packaging is very simple and nothing to hype about. Thinking back I loved that perfume and used to bathe in it. Iam so sorry for the people who used to be around me at that time.
The scent is pretty strong at the beginning, almost alcoholic. But by the end of the day it has mellowed down somewhat. But I still wouldnt buy it now as much as my 14 year old self liked it nor would I recommend it to someone. I couldnt really tell the notes apart as the smell of alcohol is too strong. For the price I would recommend trying Victorias Secret Body Sprays. I still love Revlon though and I think they make awesome makeup.
I have been wearing this perfume for almost a year now ever since my grandma gave it to me and I absolutely love it! For starters I still have 3/4 of the 50ml EDT bottle left. This is a really affordable perfume
However as by my title you can see that I only tend to wear this perfume when I go out at night or if I am going somewhere special. It is quite a strong scent so I wouldn't recommend that you mix it with fruity smelling moisturizers.
For me the notes that I can smell strongest would be; Top notes ; orange blossom, violet and plum; Middle Notes: Jasmine and ylang ylang; Bottom Notes: sandal wood, musk and cedar. This makes it a very warm scent which is why I tend to use it more at night.
The scent also lasts for quite a while but I also tend to spray a bit on my clothes and a little bit in my hair. I never reapply this as it intensifies the scent way too much and starts to smell terrible. However, I do quite like the effect of the fade in smell as it just creates a bit of mystery of whether its a natural scent or perfume, yet the perfume is obviously still lingering leaving a that warm musky scent.
The packaging is very unassuming and not really something that stands out. You could say it is quite sensible as it sits flat on your dresser and you don't need to have a special stand for it. The triangular shape also means it can fit into corners well which is quite good if you don't have much room. As I didn't buy this for myself the packaging had no influence on my purchasing of it, however if I had of bought it for myself there is a high chance I wouldn't have bought it due to its rather plain packaging.
All in all this is a really affordable perfume and I would definitely buy it for myself again in the future, but maybe in the 10ml bottle as I do not use it everyday.
Tips: Don't mix scents with anything that doesn't complement these warmer notes.
