I have been burning this candle for the last 4 days and i am obsessed what a gorgeous scent, I wasn't sure about it when i smelt in unlit and in the jar as it seemed so strong and over powering but after lighting it the scent is nice and subtle but still there ive had so many compliments even one from my 16 year old brother who wanted to know what smelt so good haha,This candle will last ages like i said i have been burning it all day for 4 days and it has barely gone down at all, The packaging is to die for simple but so pretty and the jar in which the candle is in is amazing i am love and cant wait to purchase more scents LOVE!!!

I LOVE these candles! The fact that there are so many scents to choose from, as well as this particular large size means that you get a decent amount of burning time so you ultimately get what you are paying for. The overall look of this candle means that you can put it anywhere without it looking out of place and the smell is not too overpowering. I always get complimented when I burn these candles - everybody seems to love them! :D
I bought the Juniper Berry and White Thyme after seeing great reviews. The smell of the candle is okay but not very strong (my MOR candle is much more scented even it's a lot smaller) but it's the way that it's burning that is driving me a bit nuts at the moment! I'm not sure if there's something wrong with the wick (it's at 0.5cm as the instruction says) but the flame flickers like crazy and is very distracting when I light candles to relax. Plus, the the black soot has now stained the white glass and is looking less than average. Not worth it.
My first of their candles was their limited edition christmas candle, which I loved. So when it burnt out I went out and treated myself to the vanilla one. I love their candles, the shape of the glass and the white of the candle itself reflect so prettily in the room when you're burning it. Love their candles!
The candle I am reviewing is the sweet lime and mandarin one. I picked this up on a whim - I really wanted an Ecoya candle but this was cheaper, so I got this.
The box it comes in is really cute - I like how it looks natural and almost recycled. The candle itself comes in a really nice looking jar (that I am definitely going to repurpose), and is a really decent size.
This burns easily and I haven't had problems with the wick disappearing. However I won't be buying this or any candles from the Aromatherapy Co because the candle isn't all that scented.
Perhaps I got an old candle or just got a bad one, but the scent when burning it is only JUST perceptible. I have scented candles from the Warehouse that pump more scent out than this.
Needless to say that I am super disappointed in this - especially considering the price. I wouldn't recommend these candles based on my experience just because there are cheaper options that perform way better.
Tips: Get a candle or melt from candlecrush.co.nz - they are cheaper and smell incredible.
I adore the design of these candles, having owned two different scents. Unfortunately, neither of them have much "throw", and just don't give off much scent beyond the initial box opening.
I did purchase these at their Onehunga outlet store, but that shouldn't be any indication as to quality -- they were sold as remnants, but scented candles shouldn't have their scent fade by that much. I have a Diptyque and a Curio Noir candle, both of which are high end but they're both more than two years old and still give out scent, even when just sitting there and not being burnt.
These retail for about $30-40 depending on where you get them from. I got them for $15 but there are cheaper candles out there that perform better.
Tips: Repurpose the jars! But don't leave hot water in them for too long, because the heat peels off the paint on the inside of the jar. The fact that the jars are white and translucent means you could probably use them as tea light holders.
I've never been one for scented candles. I know exactly what my problem was. When I think scented candles i think the awful smell the cheap ones put out, and then I see the $20+ price tag and think "there is no way I'm going to spend THAT on a CANDLE".
Last Christmas I was lucky enough to win my first ever grown up scented candle. It was the white thyme and juniper berry one and not to sound ungrateful but when I knew what it was I had it earmarked as a gift for Mum. I opened the box and was immediately hit by the most incredible smell. So I kept it - I couldn't help myself! Sorry Mum.
I was expecting herb and gin and what I got was just the most gorgeous sweet fruity but adult scent. It's intoxicating. Far FAR exceeds my expectations. The best part is that, unlike the cheap candles of my youth, the smell stays true while burning. My whole house subtly smells gorgeous while it's burning.
The glass the candle comes in is classic and understated, nothing that would offend anyone's taste.
It lasts a really long time, which I wasn't expecting so it's definitely worth the price tag.
I think I may just be a convert.
Tips: It glows ever so slightly when lit but you won't be able to tell during the day so be careful if you plan to leave the house (I have attached a reminder note to my carkeys before for fear of leaving it unattended).
I got given the Vanilla candle as a present as there is nothing better than having a nice bubble bath and having a nice candle lit! The candle smelt amazing when I opened it and I was super excited to use it. I was really sad that once lit the smell was not too strong and then didnt last. Usually i prefer ecoya over the Aromatherapy Company, now I know why!
This scent is one my all time favourites now, thanks to the the Sweet Orange and Jasmine Theraputic Natural Wax Candle and also the diffuser by The Aromatherapy Co. LOVE the fragrance, it's so light and summery and pretty. The candle itself is wonderful. It comes in a really good size, with a very minimal and pretty glass jar that glows softly when the candle is lit. The scent emitted is very comforting and homely. This candle burns evenly, and once your done provides a lovely jar for other purposes.
Its no secret i am an Aromatherapy co addict and this product doesnt fail to impress. Cocoa and vanilla is my fave scent from Aromatherapy Co, it its comfortable, relaxing and inviting. These candles smell beautiful, they are long lasting and they look great wherever you display them. Fantastic for any stressful environment or simply for your home and even more fantastic as a gift.
Tips: Team up with a matching diffuser for longer lingering scent.
