I've never been one for scented candles. I know exactly what my problem was. When I think scented candles i think the awful smell the cheap ones put out, and then I see the $20+ price tag and think "there is no way I'm going to spend THAT on a CANDLE".
Last Christmas I was lucky enough to win my first ever grown up scented candle. It was the white thyme and juniper berry one and not to sound ungrateful but when I knew what it was I had it earmarked as a gift for Mum. I opened the box and was immediately hit by the most incredible smell. So I kept it - I couldn't help myself! Sorry Mum.
I was expecting herb and gin and what I got was just the most gorgeous sweet fruity but adult scent. It's intoxicating. Far FAR exceeds my expectations. The best part is that, unlike the cheap candles of my youth, the smell stays true while burning. My whole house subtly smells gorgeous while it's burning.
The glass the candle comes in is classic and understated, nothing that would offend anyone's taste.
It lasts a really long time, which I wasn't expecting so it's definitely worth the price tag.
I think I may just be a convert.
I got given the Vanilla candle as a present as there is nothing better than having a nice bubble bath and having a nice candle lit! The candle smelt amazing when I opened it and I was super excited to use it. I was really sad that once lit the smell was not too strong and then didnt last. Usually i prefer ecoya over the Aromatherapy Company, now I know why!
