Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Review

I just recently purchased this and was lucky enough to get it on special, not only is the packaging amazing and so glam but its now tied 1st equal with Flower bomb as my favorite perfume. I feel it smells a little similar to flower bomb which I'm ok with as I love it! The scent lasts all day and I do keep it as one of my special going out perfumes as I don't want to use it all up to fast.

ABSOLUTELY love this. I got given a sample in Farmers and fall in love with it. A bit expensive to buy but totally worth it. If you are travelling, keep an eye for it in Duty Free where you can get it cheaper. Pleasant, nice, gentle scent wins me. It lasts all day long and still there after I shower. Highly recommend

Why are you so expensive D: this perfume had been on my lust list for a looooong, long time. Every time I went into Farmers I would spray this on myself and walk away sadly, hoping that a stranger would randomly purchase it for me...

Alas that didn't happen. I was always taught that if you want something then you need to work for it and buy it for yourself... So that's what I did. I decided on a whim to treat myself. I haven't regretted it since.

Firstly this comes in a beautiful black sparkly bottle with a pink centre. I like the centre because you can see how much perfume you have left (or, more realistically cry as it slowly depletes). The design of this bottle looks insanely luxurious on your dresser.

The scent... Ohhhhh the scent... This is such a sexy smell. On me at first it smells quite sweet but as my skin warms it up it turns into a gorgeous feminine musky smell. Since purchasing it I have had soooo many compliments on my perfume - from women and men.

Obviously I wear perfume for myself and no one else but his is by far the most complimented perfume I have ever had. Most importantly it makes me feel like a million bucks when I wear it. I swear this perfume brings your inner seductress out... ;)

If you haven't had the pleasure of smelling this then I highly, highly recommend giving it a whiff when you can. This is something I can definitely see myself purchasing again - I NEVER repurchase perfume.

Yes this is expensive but two sprays will do you all day. The scent lasts on my skin all day - even if I sweat. It's gorgeous and I cannot rave enough about it. Go smell it!

I personally love the purfume so much i have purchased this as my wedding purfume. The beautiful scent lasts all day, you can smell it when it is a little windy out. I know on my wedding day when i walk past and hug my loved ones they will be able to smell how delicious this scent is. The bottle is attractive and easy to hold.

I had already fallen in love with this perfume before it had even arrived in stores. I had seen it on Instagram, in all it's black, sparkly, luxurious goodness, and the description sounded divine. This beauty was in my hands the day of its release in NZ, and it really does live up to the hype.

Both the bottle and scent are equally unique, and certainly nothing like the other YSL Opium fragrances. The bottle is luxurious and the excitement of seeing it on my dresser still hasn't faded almost a year later. Sparkly and glittery but black and classy, this is the perfume for those who have moved on from the pink princess stage, but still like some glitter in their lives. Aside from its glittery glory, the pump is practical and the packaging is sturdy enough to survive in your handbag.

Inside is a sweet, yet sultry scent. The combination of sweet chocolate with sharp yet warm coffee makes this the perfect transition from sweet, vanilla scents to a more mature fragrance. However it is certainly still very much a sweet fragrance, so if sweet isn't for you I wouldn't go near it. I have to be in a certain mood for a fragrance this sweet, so I only purchased a 30ml, however that is purely personal preference.

This isn't my signature scent, as it's not everyday that I want to smell like chocolate and coffee, but when I'm in the mood this is perfect. It is a high end, high quality fragrance so it does not smell artificial and it lasts all day on the skin. I can see myself repurchasing this fragrance at some point when I'm wanting to treat myself, particularly if an extra special Christmas gift set comes out.

If lust was a fragrance it would be Black opium, there are some things that I cant get enough of, this is one of those few things. Each time I was in Farmers I would spritz this all over myself and wish money would fall from the sky so I could purchase this for myself. Sadly this never happened but when my husband asked me what I wanted for my 30th, I knew this was what I wanted oh so badly!

The bottle is so gorgeous, Im a huge fan of black , and all of the beautiful glossy glitz on the outside? This was me in a bottle!

After I got this baby in my hands, it took me weeks to spray this on myself, I was so afraid of wasting it, for the price I wanted to make every spray count. Now I use it for special occasions, going out to dinner, starbucks, makeup shopping? Those kinds of special things, and each time I use it I fall head over heels in love with the aroma of sweet vanilla and coffee. Maybe thats why I love it so much, the sweet scents are a weakness and coffee is something I cant love without. This is one of the few fragrances that stay on my skin, it doesn't absorb and become invisible unlike other fragrances. If I wear a jacket or shirt the scent will linger for days with just a few sprays.

It is a costly perfume but worth every penny. Spraying this on myself makes me feel like wonder woman every time!

Yes I spelt scentual because it is a scent that gets you ual lol. A cult fave that I've fallen for once I smelt it I was able to purchase a bottle onine thru someone secondhand so I got a nice sample fo this product then I went out and got me 100ml bottle. I'm a coffee addict so the notes in this fragrance are right up my alley. The bottle is to its own design a sparkle Black sleek bottle with a big round see thru middle that gives the illusion of the perfume fluid inside. So stylish. The fragrance is addictive I spray it so much it's very mature yet sweet and to me at times has this muskyness about it. I love to wear it all the time but I give it a break it's like suitable for night and day but goes well for serious big girl situation and not overbearing just fragrant & cheerful how can it be I guess that the secret to the fragrance. With a a name like black opium it's definitely an addictive scentual scent. Enough said everyone needs to try it but don't worry if you haven't because we can't go around all smelling the same at the same time :)

I was gifted this perfume earlier in the year, and I absolutely love it. It smells so gorgeous!! It is quite a mature scent, and more of an evening scent but I love it so much that I often put it on during the day! I'm dreading the day that I run out of it, because it is waaaay out of my price range so I doubt I'd ever repurchase it! I'd be over the moon to have it gifted to me again haha it's my fave

This is my all time favourite fragrance. The smell is amazing and the scent lasts all day long. The only down side is how pricey it is, which is why I only use this fragrance on special occasions. Plus the packaging is super nice. What girl doesn't love black or glitter?
