Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Review

This is one of my signature scents, it's slightly floral with vanilla notes but not too sweet. I find it lasts all day if you get the EDP version

Black opium is feminine without being floral - an aspect which I absolutely adore! It's warm and a little sweeter than the original opium but still retains the staying power. Because it is quite a strong heavy perfume, it's a good scent for cooler nights and a little goes a long way.

Love love love! So chic and classic. This fragrance is warm and inviting. It has moderate longevity but not as heavily scented as original Opium. It gets lots of compliments. It smells like fruity vanilla coffee and spice with a hint of light florals and is slightly sweet but not sickly. Other scents I love are Si by Giorgio Armani, Bright Crystal Absolu by Versace, Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, Hypnotic Poison by Dior, and La vie est belle by YSL. If you love any of these or similar perfumes you are bound to love this too.

From the moment i sprayed myself i had compliments from all. It has become a staple in my routine every morning and i would feel naked without it! It has a sexy and mysterious smell about it that intrigues woman and men. Its long lasting smell is the best thing about it and you do not need to reaply during the day. Black Opium is my absolute favourite perfume. It is apart of my daily routine, I use it daily and get so many compliments. It is always on my wish list for birthdays, Xmas, anniversaries when I'm getting low but I can not help myself, I have to get another bottle before I run out of the last. It has a sweet smell but not sickly at all.

If you have not tried Black opium you are most definitely missing out.

Wonderful wonderful scent, definitely worth the price. Almost every time I wear this out I get complimented how sexy and sweet I smell! My boyfriend loves this one! I find it hard to smell on myself after a while, although this is typical of all perfumes I find. It must last reasonably long though as people comment on it even after wearing for an entire day. It’s a misconception that it is too strong or sexy to be an everyday scent - personally I love it as a daily scent. If you like warm, spicy and sweet scents then you’ll love this one. Worth the hype!

Usually I am a fixed on my own perfume brands and rarely try new fragrances. In saying that, my daughter recently purchased this Black Opium fragrance and I was immediately drawn to it's sweet, floral scent. Packaged in a glittery black bottle, this fragrance is sexy, seductive and long lasting! If you're on the fence, go and get a tester from your nearest store! Its as good as it smells and worthit!
