I have used this product for many years without having tried others in the range. It's truly awesome at canceling yellow and brassy tones, although be careful not to leave it too long as it can actually go a little purple. Which is actually cute sometimes. The smell is more on the chemical side, and it can be stained, however, if you're wanting to use it for managing your blonde colour, then it really hits the mark and is at a really affordable price point. The key downside is that I do find it drying, but this is easily remedied by pairing it with a moisturizing treatment.

Tips: Make sure you don't leave it in too long to avoid staining, and pair it with a good moisturizing treatment or conditioner.
I have tried MANY purple shampoos and nothing beats this beauty. I like my hair to be slightly over toned so I use it regularly. If you just want the clean blonde finish to get rid of the yellow/brass look, I’d only use as needed. I’m not sure about the “damage rewind” statement, if you’re blonde you already know the struggles! It tends to make your hair feel more dry so I recommend to use a qauty conditioner after use.
Tips: If you like your hair “over toned” like me, put it in dry first before washing!
One of my favourite purple shampoo’s, gives beautiful blonde/white/ purple tones depending how long you leave it on and how often you use it. The purple shampoo formula itself if shimmery like a crystal look. You don’t need to leave it on to long for it to work its magic
Tips: Use a small pea size amount. Use 1/2 times a week. Use a nice conditioner/ treatment as it can be a little bit drying.
Love it! Lathers up nicely, a little goes a long way. I find the consistency to be quite runny though, so you definitely have to be ready to use it as soon as you open it.
It smells nice, unlike some other purple shampoos I've found that can smell quite chemically
I have naturally light blonde hair that can go a little yellow, especially in summer so I’ve tried a lot of purple shampoos and this one is the darkest purple I’ve seen and is quite runny so be careful because you don’t need much to get a good lather even for my long hair so you will get a lot of applications for the price you pay.
I was worried the fragrance would be too much after reading it uses FragranceFuse technology but it wasn’t very noticeable once my hair was dry.
It definitely did whiten the yellowness in my hair but it also made the lightest blonde parts go a light purple colour even when I just washed it straight out rather than leave it on for the recommended time.
I can’t say I noticed my hair was any softer or smoother if anything it felt a little bit dry so I would recommend using it with the conditioner.
Tips: Maybe try wrapping the lightest parts of your hair in foil before applying to the rest of your hair to save them from going purple
I have blonde balayage through my naturally mid-brown hair, and I hate the orange tones that consistently push through. I've always used Fanola toning shampoos and masks, but Fudge is such a well-known brand so I was keen to compare the two.
As a toning treatment, the shampoo is pretty good. I always think it is a positive sign when the product stains your fingernails purple in the shower - and this certainly has that effect. It didn't combat the orange tones in my hair, but it targets yellow tones nicely.
As a shampoo, I instantly felt all the life being stripped out of my hair. It was coarse and dry almost as soon as I applied the product. Even after applying conditioner, it still felt like the lustre and softness had been permanently ruined.
Considering the product is marketed as 'Damage Rewind' I was extremely disappointed. I would go so far as to say my hair feels more damaged after using this shampoo.
For the sake of this BR trial, I used the shampoo 3 times to give it a fair shot. But I will NOT be using it again, and definitely don't recommend it. If is okay for toning your blonde hair, but follow with a good masque or Olaplex.
Fudge Clean Blonde Damage Rewind Shampoo is an excellent product for those with blonde hair who want a shampoo that not only washes but also helps to maintain their hair color.
The shampoo has a special formula that contains violet pigments which help to remove any unwanted brassiness, leaving your blonde locks looking refreshed and revitalized.
I found it a bit tangling during use, but once I had the conditioner in my hair detangled well.
It is a bit messy! Be careful not to flick your hair around too much else you'll be scrubbing away at your shower after use!
