I have recently gone back to blonde and was looking for a shampoo to fix the damage but also still tone out the brass. This shampoo does all that and more! I use it every wash and my hair has never looked more blonde and never felt softer. It’s easy to apply and smells so good, doesn’t have a chemical smell like other purple shampoos. I haven’t noticed any staining of my skin or my hair and I leave it on anywhere from 5-20 minutes and sometimes apply it to my hair while it’s dry. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed!

This is the best purple shampoo. I get blonde foils to blend in the dreaded greys that are coming through. This shampoo tones the blonde foils really well. I leave it on for about 5 minutes, sometimes longer and then rinse. It does make my hair a little coarse but conditioner soon fixes that. It's not badly priced and does last a while. The fragrance is nice and not too over powering.
The packaging is a 250ml plastic tube that was thankfully taped down by BR for delivery to avoid spillage. The directions were very hard to read on the back of the container as a was very small font size so I went to their website to get the directions.
I use and have used a few different purple shampoos as my hair does tend to "fire up" and go the golden colour so needs cooling down of the colour regularly.
When I first squirted out the purple shampoo I was terrified as it was a very deep purple and my past experience with the Schwarzkopf Good Bye Yellow purple shampoo of the same colour, hair went green (!!!) - don't EVER use that one folks! However I bit the bullet and made my first application. The shampoo had a lovely aroma which I liked. The first application did not froth up much, which it usually does with my current shampoo, so I rinsed and did another application which did froth up. It recommends to leave on unrinsed for up to 5mins. I only did 3mins as was a bit scared it would make my hair go green. I rinsed off and noticed my wet hair was definitely darker and not brassy. I then applied the Fudge Blonde conditioner - my next review - and combed it through my hair. I did have more hair fallout/breakage than I normally get so hopefully that was just a once off. My hair wasn't tangly though so not sure why that happened.
Overall after using the shampoo, conditioner and treatment, I was very happy with the final colour after I dried it and there was not hint of brass and my hair was a cooler beige/blonde which I preferred totally. My hair was very soft and I found that it was very nourished. Usually I get oily hair after a day but it is day 3 and even though I am due to wash it, it looks ok.
Highly recommend.
Tips: Leave the shampoo on for the 5mins as it will be fine but less will still work.
Background: I have darker blonde hair that I bleach once every two months to go platinum. My hair tends to go brassy/yellow and has become quite dry, brittle, and falls out; so I was very excited to trial this product. Other purple products just don’t do it for me.

Packaging: comes in a 100% recyclable bottle (according to their website) Price: at $24 for 250ml from Chemist Warehouse, it’s on the pricier side for sure, but you have to pay for quality, I always say. Consistency: not unlike other shampoos. Fragrance: pleasant! I’ve had other products that smell of clay but this shampoo’s fragrance is lovely. Can’t put a finger on it, but it’s nice. Application and coverage: lathers really well for every coverage. Does stain the hands at first glance but over the course of the shower/bath that fades significantly. Results: this product really does work. From the first wash my hair was SMOOTHER, SOFTER, and has stopped falling out - which is a dream come true for me and the robot vacuum. The yellows/brassy parts of my hair were… no longer yellow. However, this product is STRONG. Due to my hair being platinum, I came out the shower with pastel purple accents. I think if I’d left the product on for less than recommended, I would not have had that result. I personally like the effect, and it does fade out without staining clothes or pillow cases. Just be careful and test the shampoo for shorter than the 5 minute’s recommended. Recommendation? Yeah, basically that. Depending on the lightness of your blonde hair, I would test the shampoo out for less time, and build that up over a course.
This shampoo comes in a 250mil standing tube, so its handy for home or holidays... and it's a deep purple, I'm glad I had gloves at the ready. I needed quite a bit of sampoo to get a good lather, and left it for 5 minutes before rinsing. My hair felt refreshed and squeaky clean.
Tips: Follow the instructions, and do a skin patch test first. Also there's a foil seal under the cap that needs to be pierced, or removed. Gloves are necessary to avoid staining.
Love this shampoo, brightens blonde in one wash and leaves hair feeling super soft and shiny. . Great way to maintain blonde and definitely combats yellow tones if you leave it on for 5 or so minutes.
Tips: The longer you leave it on the more your blonde tones turn silver/violet toned.
I found that this product is a good option for purple shampoo. Be careful of staining as it can get on your hands and stick! Definitely use gloves if you are using it all the time. I like the bottle and the ease of opening the lid. Smells pretty good and I enjoyed using it. It definitely made a difference to the brassy tone of my hair. I was worried about staining. Make sure that you don't use it everyday however as it can make a blueish tone in your hair. Overtoning is never a good time for blondes. I would recommend using every couple of washes. Pair with the matching conditioner for a smooth finish.
Tips: Use gloves to prevent staining. Pair with the matching conditioner for best results.
Very excited to try this shampoo. The first point of difference I noticed was you massage in and then leave for five minutes. Usually everything is two applications. The texture was thick and unctuous as it came out the tube. Great as you don't lose half off your hands in the shower. I think I overdosed on the first try as used less on my second wash later in the week. It went on easily and covered well as I have long hair and normally with shampoos I need a lot. So definitely a cost saving here. Rinsed off easily and left hair feeling soft and sleek. This was one of my favourite things as until conditioner goes in my hair feels like straw. My only complaint was the purple stained hands. It does say to wear gloves but really? Who really would bother in the shower washing your hair? Faded within a few hours.
Tips: Don't need to use a lot so just squeeze a 50c amount for long hair, less for shorter.
I love me a good purple shampoo. I particularly became addicted during lockdown when going to the hairdresser was a no-no and we were eeking out our colours as best we could. Fudge products are my preferred go to and the Clean Blonde Damage Rewind is up there. I like the look, consistency and feel and most importantly it does what it says it'll do. It'll lighten/tone blonde hair from the first wash to remove the yellow. I tend to use it more when my colour is fading but be warned if you use it too much you will get a violet tones to your hair :-)
This stuff is the best. The only purple shampoo I will use. I have tried a few different brands but this one doesn't dry the hair out as much. It smells amazing too.
Tips: You only need to use this once a week in combination with other shampoos. If you would like purple tone or ash blonde look then leave shampoo in for 10-20 minutes then rinse off.
