Before i let my hair grow out my hair was a super light ash blonde & I gave this a whirl and it was amazing in my hair.My hairdersser was stocking this so I gave it a go. The tube/package was great when you squeezed it you didnt get an abundance of product come out with purple shampoo's if they are too runny you end up with it everywhere. It felt quite thick and it didn't have a strong smell (smelt my like my hairdressers). I didnt leave it in for the full recommended time as my hair grips purple shampoo to fast I left it for only a minute or two and then rinsed out. This gave my hair a really great colour it took away all the brasiness and left my hair in a nice soft conditions sometimes purple shampoo can be quite drying.

Tips: If you dont want your hair to lighten too much or if your really white blonde and dont want to be slightly violet i would recommend only leaving on for a minute or less
Seeing that I have blonde highlighted hair I'm constantly trying to find ways to extend the blonde and hold of the brassiness. There are some toning shampoos that work better than others and the Fudge one is one of those. I didn't think that it was the best, as my hair did feel a little drier afterwards, but it did counter act the brass tones in my hair effectively. When paired with a good conditioner, I'm sure that it could become one of my staples.
Tips: Don't use it everyday, or every second day. I got wonderful pink streaks from "over" usage.
When I had really blonde hair, this was my favourite product. Its such a reasonable price for a salon product, and it really gets rid of that horrible yellow, brassy colour you get when you're blonde. I didn't mind the smell, but it did stain your hair slightly purple if you left it on too long. It was one of the best purple shampoos that I tried, and I had tried a few!
Tips: Don't use it everyday, maybe every other time you wash your hair, so alternate with your other shampoo, makes it last longer too!
This has worked really well for me so far. It is very, very purple lol and I got a bit of a fright when I kept flicking it onto the walls of the shower and the shower curtain, I thought it would stain but it washed off straight away. And the fact that you only need to use it once a week is even better. It'll last you a very long time, so it's not something you have to keep purchasing on a weekly basis. It smells real nice too, not too over powering, just enough to have your hair smelling clean. One thing I did find though, is before you apply it, you have to gently rub it into your hands before putting it in your hair (this is what the sales woman said to us before we left the shop) so I feel like it doesn't go as far as it would if you didn't have to rub it in first because I thought I had more than enough when I squeezed it into my hand, but I actually had to go back for more... But overall, I'm quite pleased with this product.
Loved my Joico Purple Shampoo but my friend who is a hairdresser put me onto this, a lot less pricey and does the trick!! I use it every wash and leave on for a couple of minutes. I did have issues with living in the country and my hair getting a green tinge but this seems to counteract it and leaves my blonde a pretty ashy tone. Smells good. Don't be alarmed that your hands turn purple, washes off. Only thing is not a super fan of packaging, have to have it sitting upside down or leaks out.
Tips: Make sure you wash it out properly, if you don't (and I know) it can stain your hair purple!!! So don't be half asleep when washing hair :)
Cant fault it really. It does just what it says it's meant to. Only thing to be careful is is to not leave it in for longer then 5 minutes otherwise i found it turned parts of my hair purple. Although the purple goes away quite quickly. Other wise it's a good product that definitely took the orange tone out of my newly coloured hair. Also make sure to wash it off the shower walls after use :)
so recently I decided to get an ombre blonde look done to my hair and this is what my hairdresser recommended to keep it from going brassy :). the shampoo itself is easy to spread and goes far (two squirts does my hair), its Cadbury purple, and I leave it in for 5mins per time and wash my hair with it once a week. my blonde still looks great almost a month on and this is the only toning product I've honestly used- didn't even need its matching conditioner so for me its very cost effective although I paid $30.00 not $19.95 so the price has been bucked up. it didn't stain my hair at all and that's about it :) highly recommend it.
I use this product once a week and have been using it for the past year or so it works very we'll as I like toning my hair to a light gray colour but sometimes I seem to leave it in for to long and by the time I go to the hair dresses I Have a very purple band on the back of my head! It works to we'll
I don't know how to rate this if I'm being completely honest. I'm going to write my experience with this, so you can judge for yourself. I give it 4/5 because I truly believe it's a great product and it works well, but with precautions. I will also admit that the result of my hair with this shampoo is mostly my fault.
I have bleached my hair 8 times now, and I'm currently sitting at shade 11 on the blonde chart, so it's very light, very platinum blonde. My current toning shampoo is finished and hearing the raves of this I purchased it.
I was so excited to use it. It smells wonderful, and has a lovely vibrant violet shade to it.
As soon as I put it on my hair, my head turned this wonderful shade of lavender. The instructions say to leave it on for up to 5 minutes, and stupidly I left it on for the whole 5 minutes.
Couple mistakes and precautions. Probably do not need to be toning hair with such an intense, strong toning shampoo at the shade I am. Probably shouldn't have left shampoo on for that long at the shade I am.
To my horror, the shampoo had stained my hair a very pale shade of lavender which almost looks blue/green/grey. Not happy with this at all, as I had only just finally brought my hair to the shade I wanted it to be.
All the yellow blonde tones in my platinum hair is completely white, and the rest of my hair stained grey. I did some research and the purple tone is removed if you wash your hair several times (Did mine 5 times) however that vibrancy of blonde colour that was on my hair is gone leaving it grey/white, and my hair is completely stripped from using cheap shampoo to wash out the grey to avoid looking like my grandma. So yea, this shampoo really does remove brassy tones.
If I had more yellow-blonde hair rather than platinum, I would love this product, I can see that it cancels out brassy tones REALLY well. So it is definitely amazing. But for the state it left my hair, I'm really upset about. I will not be using this shampoo again - however if I were a yellow - blonde this would be the only thing I would use.
Tips: Be very very careful with how long you leave it on the hair, especially if hair is lighter blonde. I cannot stress this enough.
Was really awesome for lifting the orange in my hair, got alot for the value. Was really happy with the product! I over used it a little though because I enjoyed it to much and ended up with purple hands haha
