It is very strong. It strips yellow tones from hair very easily. When I use it on my normally dyed blonde hair, it sometimes turns a bit too white. It smells glorious, and a little bit goes a long way. My bottle has lasted me so long that I don't even need to use the rest of it.

Tips: Don't leave it on too long - my friend left it on for half an hour and her hair was permanently stained purple.
By far my favourite silver toning shampoo. Used in combination with the matching conditioner once a week (I only wash my hair twice a week), it kept my artificially blonde hair in great shape.
The shampoo is even capable of rescuing blonde hair that has brass-ed badly, however if you leave the shampoo in for too long it can stain your hair purple, or turn it a more silvery colour.
I only had one incident of hair staining, but I did frequently stain my scalp from leaving it in just a tad too long - I liked my hair quite silvery when I used this product. The shampoo washes out easily from your hair, and doesn't feel like it leaves much of a residue.
I purchased a set of the shampoo and conditioner in the tubes and it lasted me around 6 months, I have considered repurchasing in the larger pump bottle form but have decided to colour my hair a darker blonde instead.
Tips: Less is more!
I bought this shampoo based off the reviews below and friend recommendations. I checked out reviews for Lee Statford and John Frieda's purple shampoo's too as well as a few brands not on this site. Out of every review I looked at (and there were lots) this shampoo was the only one that had no negative reviews.
As a shampoo it doesn't tangle like other shampoo's are known to do and it does take out yellow tones, but it only lasts a day or two then I have to do it all over again.
Two things that a lot of people talk about is it turning your hair purple and the smell.
I think the smell is ok, but not amazing.
The purple hair however I have experimented with. I was very careful to only have the shampoo in for about 5 minutes when I first got the shampoo, but the effect didn't last long. So I have experimented with having the shampoo in for up to 4 hours. At 4 hours the whitest blond hairs get a very light lavender tinge, otherwise it stays blonde.
Because the cheapest I could find this shampoo for was $23, I think next time I would consider trying a cheaper shampoo in comparision, but this one does do the job.
I have been going blonde for a while now aprox 6 months and my hair becomes dull and brass at times, I was introduced to fudge purple shampoo and LOVE it. This product works beautifully in making those dull yellow tones disappear and bring back that beautiful blonde. The only downside to using fudge is that it is very drying on your hair and can take away a lot of natural oils and moisture, ensure you use a nourishing conditioner afterword's.
Tips: Due to drying that can occur, I use Fudge 1 every two weeks and leave on for about 15minutes. The outcome WOW I have beautiful silver/blonde hair and I feel fabulous, use protein based shampoos and good nourishing conditions in-between applications to ensure your hair stays healthy.
I absolutely love using this shampoo on my highlighted hair, it gives it such a nice, ash blonde tone as I am not a fan of those ginger shades!
Tips: Don't use too much of it, or too often. I find once a week with a treatment afterwards keeps my hair healthy.
Really like this product. Makes your hair feel good. Defo grabs the hair very quickly. No need for waiting around for it to work!
Tips: Don't leave on too long! If you do use a different shampoo to help take the purple violent out;)
Have used this several times now I bought it off some one who had gone brunette so no longer needed it not sure if she watered the product down as it comes out very thin and runny. Mine is packaged differently too but it is the same brand I paid about 25including postage but the size is decent. The product is a vibrant cadbury purple and tones the hair pretty well I am still gingery in places and strawberry blonde but it has certainly been helping lift the orangey and enhance the blonde areas/whiten them I have been lightening in preparation to trial a pastel product on here it can stain your vanity in the bathroom a bit so be careful I have tried leaving it in for a long time to try tint my hair purple / lavender but this has not happened yet I find better results if you apply it to dry hair then slightly dampen it I would re use again as I think this is a nice strong working product. But I do not use all the time as I worry it would be drying or too harsh for everyday use.
a brillant easy to find option that isnt going to break the bank. I used it for a long time when i was blonde, and it helped on the days when i looked really brassy. I have also used it when i have purple hair to take the edge of some of the purple and tone it into a blue shade- so it definately will work on a variety of tones.
I have home dyed my hair blonde a couple of times now and it's always a struggle to avoid going yellow without having to spend big bucks on toners. Luckily I was introduced to Fudge Clean Blonde purple shampoo. The formula of the shampoo is quite liquidy and is a very deep purple. In terms of lather and the cleaning of your hair goes, I find it doesn't do a great job, but the colour results are great. After about 4 washes I started noticing my platinum blonde streaks coming through and my golden blonde areas becoming less brassy. The shampoo is very purple and I found that if I use it too often my scalp gets stained, so I only use it once a week.
Tips: Wash your hair with your normal shampoo first, because Fudge doesn't clean hair very well.
I am no longer blonde, but when i was this was the only toning shampoo that showed results almost instantly. i reccomend this product to everyone wanting to tone their hair. Be careful not to leave it in too long though, because you will have a bright purple scalp
