This product is smooth and easy to apply. My skin is fair so the light colour worked really well to even out my skintone without looking cakey or heavy. Really blends well into my coloring without looking like I have any makeup on. The fragrance takes a bit to get used too, I'd prefer no fragrance at all. A little goes a long way, I would recommend about at $1 coin size amount to do whole face. For a little more coverage reapply another layer once finished first application. Try buildable coverage on cheeks or any areas with redness for higher cover. Hyaluronic Acid helps keep skin moisturised while providing even skin colour.

Tips: Use a small amount - about $1 coin size.
Apply after skincare especially moisturiser.

For more coverage build over first application and set with a pressed or loose powder.
Apply a small amount of blush to finish the look
Brought this, thinking it was the same as the one i had before, which it wasn't So it was a bit light for my skin tone Apart from that it worked fine Non greasy and non clogging which was great
Thanks BR babes for the chance to take part in this trial. I used to be such a huge BB cream fan, and just stopped using it for some reason, so this was the perfect opportunity to rediscover my love for BB cream.
The new tube packaging has 49% less plastic used which is always great. Even though the tube is sort of cardboardy it is still really solid. The lid is easy to open and clicks closed snugly.
The cream has SPF which is great if you've forgotten the sunscreen. I don't bother using brushes to apply the product, just squeeze some on my fingertips and apply like a moisturiser. The coverage is really good, and definitely evens out the skin tone.
The only drawback I found with this one was I couldn't use my moisturiser beforehand. I normally use a hyaluronic acid and then moisturiser before applying my foundation - when I did that using the BB cream for the first few days I found my skin was really oily and started to break out. I tried without the hyaluronic acid, and it was better but still too rich for my skin, so now I just use the BB cream without any moisturiser and it seems to be the best fit for me.
Tips: If it's too rich for your skin, try without moisturiser
Thanks BR for the opportunity to try this new formula. I’ve used BB Creams on and off for a while now but I’ve always found they make me look like a shiny mess after an hour or so and for the amount of coverage it’s not really been worth it. This product has much more coverage than I expected I would say more like a light foundation. While it is very hydrating it wears beautifully on my combination skin. I use it over a 50 spf and then powder it down and it lasts at least 5-6 hours without powder touch ups. It’s summer and it’s even staying put on my sweaty face. My favourite thing (and one that’s fairly new to us all) is that is doesn’t transfer onto my masks. I’ve tried it with a basic cotton one and a satin one and they’re completely unmarked when I removed them. I was sent the medium shade and luckily I have a bit of colour at the moment or it would be too dark. I bought my teenage daughter the “light” shade and while she is very pale it was beyond too dark for her. I do wish there were more shades available otherwise it would have been 5 stars all the way. I will be able to use the light one in winter and I’m really excited about having another base (foundation/BB Cream) to add to my collection.
Tips: If you’re oily or have combo skin then a translucent powder will set this down beautifully and you can skip the moisturiser . This is hydrating enough to use on its own or over the top of a serum and or added spf. If you’re dry then you may want to add a lightweight moisturiser
I use this everyday as I find foundation drying. It stays dewy and my skin feels hydrating all day. It does sit in the eyebrows and hairline however, which I am not a fan of. But i just use an ear bud to quickly fix it. I also find patting it on works well and on top of a nice facial oil.
Tips: Check your eyebrows and hairline for transfer.
I love this for simple daily use, but also buildable for bigger occasions! As someone with freckles I love it as you can still see them but makes skin tone even. Lasts a long time and very light on face.
Tips: Use a wet beauty blender or fingers. Set for best results
I was super excited to try this BB cream, as I had tried tinted moisturizers in the past but were all too dark for my skin tone. This Garnier BB cream comes out looking pretty dark, but blended well into my skin making it look smooth and flawless. I like the low coverage look so didn't use too much. The smell isn't overbearing, actually quite nice and mellow. And it doesn't feel heavy on my face. Compared to a foundation, this is more smooth and creamy and doesn't leave that dry looking effect. It definitely helps to cover up any red blemishes on the skin too, so I will define continue to use.
Tips: Apply with either a makeup brush or your finger tips. Use a little bit at a time as needed
As an avid user of Garnier BB cream, I was concerned the new products may not live up to the classics. Doing away with some of their other BB creams had me nervous, what if I need one of them?! However, to my delight the new formulas are as good, maybe better, than the old. I usually use the anti-aging version and received the classic to review, in medium shade. It claims to be a perfecting all-in-one beauty balm cream, and is applied like a regular moisturiser. It contains hyaluronic acid and mineral pigments, and is spf15. I wish I still had my old tube to compare it with, but this one smelled more like sunscreen to me than the previous, which, I don’t know why, always reminded me of tea! If anything though, this is a good sign. One time while using it I got a smidge in my eye, and you know a product has sunscreen in it by that sting! So, bearing that in mind when you apply it, it goes on smoothly and seems quite thin in consistency, but this is good because you can easily build it to a fuller coverage without any streaking or those pesky linty bits rolling up on your face. I bought a tube of the anti-aging formula in the new tube too, just so I could compare the two. Previously I’d always used the anti-aging formula, but now I may have been convinced to switch to the regular, because it seems to suit my skin much better. I’m not sure if it’s less greasy, or something else, but it goes on smoother and stays on my skin for longer. It claims to even, correct, and illuminate, and I have some very dark patches on my face in a few areas and it does help to blend them in, this evening them out. I have also received so many compliments now saying my skin is glowing! I didn’t think there would be much difference between this and the previous one I was using, but apparently there is! My skin feels great too, I really think the ingredients are beneficial to my skin and it does not cause me breakouts. It also claims to hydrate for 24 hours. I always remove it at bedtime and I wear hyaluronic acid and a moisturiser underneath usually, so I can’t say for sure, but my skin does feel moisturised, and this bb cream definitely is not drying. When I remove it at night there is plenty of bb cream cheese on the cotton pad, showing just how much lasts throughout the day, even on the hot sweaty ones. I just remove it using micellar water. As someone who is not a fan of, and doesn’t have time for a full foundation as a busy working and studying mum, this is perfect to be able to literally wipe on in the morning and feel I have a make up look without makeup. It gives me a fresh, healthy glow without the effort of several products. Not suitable if you want more coverage or a matte look, but works well underneath foundation too. It is reasonably priced at around the $17 mark, but is frequently on special for around $10-12. This is a must have for me.
Tips: Don’t get it in your eyes. Build up using small amounts until you get your desired coverage. If using products such as moisturiser underneath, allow these to absorb and dry before applying for better wear and coverage. Apply under, or mix into, your foundation for a glow and extra coverage. Wait until it is on special, or shop around to get a bargain! I’ve worn this as a foundation with a few dabs of concealer and then full bronzer and make up, and then a powder or setting spray. Gives a nice natural but made up look, without the heaviness of a foundation.
The new formula is lightweight and spreads easily. It has a light fresh / floral scent. The light shade seems a little darker than other Garnier BB creams I have used, almost more of a light-medium. Something for fairer people to bear in mind.
It feels very light on the skin, much more like skincare than make up. It has low coverage, but leaves a nice natural looking blurred finish, it seems like it works by reflecting light rather than covering the skin. It gives a natural look so you don't lose all skin tone.
It gives a nice natural glow and has an SPF of 15 so great for all year wear, but particularly nice for summer when you don't want to be wearing heavily layers of foundation.
This comes in a 50ml tube, so great value for money, especially if you catch it on sale. I love the new cardboard packaging, it looks nice and is easy to flip open one handed. It feels a lot nicer to use than the old packaging, I'm enjoying the improvements they have made to the packaging and formula.
I am a big fan of BB creams and similar products for those "no makeup" days where you just need something to even out your skin tone. Without foundation, my face is much paler than my body with a lot of redness so I'm sometimes a bit too shy to go completely naked.
I received this product in Classic Light. I would actually say this is more of a light-medium. I applied it with a damp beauty sponge as I would with foundation (I dont like applying anything with colour using my hands - too messy!). It was easy to apply and buildable so I could add an extra few dabs to my redness. The finish was radiant and natural looking and it lasts well for a BB cream - I found it lasted well for the days errands.
There were only 2 letdowns for me: 1. The shades - I have a wee google and it appears to only come in light and medium. From experience, I know the light is actually not that light so for our fairer and deeper toned friends - this probably wont work for them. 2. The fragrance - I found this too be quite strong and whilst not unpleasant, I generally don't like heavily fragranced makeup products.
