Let me start by saying that the Garnier hair food conditioner has been my main thing for a few years now and it's all thanks to BR as that's how I got to try it so when I saw they have body food now I had great expectations & was lucky to trial it. The packaging is great I love the information saying what function and origin the ingredients are and the container itself is able to be repurposed - I used my empty hair food ones to mixup my hair colour into. The aloe magnesium body food is fantastic for my cracked dry heels - seriously hydrating cream. I also really like the aloe in it because it is soothing on my skin which gets sunshine several times a week when I'm at playcentre with the children and I burn very easily & my skin feels hot / burnt even when it doesn't look like it so having a aloe based cream to put on after the sun exposure is something I need. The aloe heals and gives releif. Magnesium tAblets are often used to support sleep so having some absorb through the skin helps with relaxation. I used this as a massage cream too before bed & I could feel the hydration the next morning. Having skin care products that penetrate through multiple layers of skin is something I want - so that nourishment is happening not just on the surface the skin is being prepared so that as exfoliation and new skin is revealed it is at is best. Love that this product days it does that and absorbs easy. For some the feeling of this cream may seem a wee bit greasy but if you have dry or dehydrated skin give this a try! The scent is like the hair conditioner but seemingly a little thinner in viscosity but more rich in hydration perhaps or texture wise. I'm almost half way through my tub now but I'm being heavy handed with my sore cracked heels and after some time in the sunshine. Thank you BR this product is helping me! My only gripe if there is ever one: the company is part of L'Oréal which does test on animals so there's probably a loop hole or something. If your very strict about that kind of thing. I will certainly be looking out for this body food I am happy with the results.

I was lucky to receive the Garnier Body Superfood Aloe Vera & Magnesium as part of a Beauty Review Trial Team. Thank you Beauty Review. I am very particular with moisturising creams as they are often very heavy or sticky, however, I really enjoyed this one. The cream was very refreshing which is not wonder because it contains aloe vera so it was a pleasure to apply. It is also very fast absorbed and didn’t leave any sticky residue or sensation. It is supposed to keep your skin hydrated for 48 hours, I don’t know about that because I used it every day as I really like the refreshing feeling when you apply it. My skin felt very good after a couple of applications and my dry legs look better. The product smells great and is not overpowering. It doesn’t last long so it won’t mix up with your perfume. The only thing I am not fancy about is the container. It is nothing wrong with it, but I don’t really like to dig my fingers in, I prefer the ones with a pump or squeeze ones. Other than that, I am very happy with this product, I will continue using it and purchase it later.
The Garnier body super food comes in a fairly large tub 380mls like the hair products it’s easily to recognise but not so convenient for travelling with.
It has quite a distinctive smell which does smells lovely in the tub but I did find it a little overpowering on my skin and I could still smell it on my hands after washing them several times which I’m not a fan of.
I always find that the packaging is jam packed with information but the key messages are: 48hrs hydration, 10 skin layers, for normal to dry skin, and fast absorption. It did absorb quickly, prehaps because I do have dry skin but I was fairly generous with my application.
It is hard to judge the 10 layers deep claim but from my experience of using this for a week it was not as nourishing as I would have liked in comparison to other moisturisers I have used. I still have dry patches on my legs and I needed to reapply regularly throughout the day for extra hydration so I would say it doesn’t last 48hours either.
If you want a basic, cheap summer moisturiser and have normal skin then this might tick all your boxes but this isn’t something I would recommend for dry skin lady.
No this would not be something I would repurchase.
Firstly wow what a massive tub!! Upon opening the massive lid it gives off a refreshing fragrance. Super easy to swipe some out and it spreads really well. Not too greasy and doesn't take long to absorb either. My only questions is how much magnesium? I was unable to find how much magnesium was actually in the product.
Tips: it's a pretty big tub so I suggest you leave it on a level surface. Don't try to hold in one hand while moisturising your skin
Ok so first off the packaging comes in a large tub like body butter 390 ml volume the price point is around 8 to 14 dollars which is average for a body cream. The packaging is clear as to what it is advertising with bright colours which is apart of the garnier branding. The consistency is thick like a cream but light to apply and spreads well the smell is so strong I wasn’t into. It says it provides 48 hours of moisture however I have found other products that have given me better results it did help clear up a couple of dry patches I had on my legs. Would I recommend this product? There’s so many moisturisers out there to choose from so I wouldn’t buy it myself.
I really enjoyed this product. It was super moisturising, felt great on my sensitive skin and I love anything with aloe. It's a generous sized tub so would last quite a while. I also like that it has natural ingredients and lists them in an easy to understand format.
The Garnier Body Superfood Aloe Vera & Magnesium moisturiser is truly lovely.
The scent is fresh and not remotely chemically smelling. The product itself is a mix between a gel and lotion. It spreads easily on the skin, sinks in and doesn't leave it feeling tacky. Most importantly, it did moisturise my skin leaving it looking noticeably less dehydrated than when I started using it.
My only gripe would be the tub. I find it quite fiddly in terms of getting at the moisturiser, and I worry that I could easily upset it and send product all over the place. I would prefer it in a squeeze tube or pump.
That aside, I love the scent, the texture, the way it sinks in and how it makes my skin look and feel and would repurchase.
The problem I find with a lot of moisturisers is that they smell overly masculine or overly feminine. I don't want to smell like my dad in the 80s and I don't want to smell like my partner.
This was a great moisturiser scent-wise, as it was fresh smelling, but very unisex. I also liked that it wasn't too thick, but still sank into my skin really well and definitely left it looking more hydrated.
My partner and daughter have also since dug into it and are both enjoying it as well, and my partner has said she'll be buying more in the grocery shop when we run out - which I think will take longer than expected due to the generous tub size.
The tub is huge and I love this product so much. I use this as a leave in conditioner and it really soothes my hair. It doesn’t dehydrate and very easy to use
i got picked to try this, where to begin, i personally wouldn't use this again. it does work... but i couldn't get past the smell, and i was not a fan of the "wetness" of it. i personally like a more creamy/thicker cream, this just felt very wet putting it on. now if you can get past that, it really does work. i did the one arm test for a few days, where one arm has it and the other doesn't, and i can tell you the one i did it on is so damn soft, the other one feels like sandpaper in comparison. i mean its not that bad, but the soft one is sooooooo soft, it just feels really nice. i also used it on my husbands sunburn, worked a treat!
