Garnier Body Superfood Cocoa & Ceramide

I love cocoa butter, and as a teen/early 20s I used to religiously use Palmers. The smell of this Garnier Body Superfood brought back instant memories, but I must say I think this smells even better!

When you call something superfood, I think you're setting it up to smell delicious right? This does. And the scent lasts, I find myself huffing my arms during the day for a scent hit!

This is aimed at very dry skin and has been working a treat on my super dry legs and arms.

I like the tub format, you wont get any wastage or need to cut open tubes to avoid wastage.

Would I use it again? I would but I want to try the others first!

I really enjoyed this trial team - I expected it to be a goodie based on my love of Garnier Hair Food - the body superfood is equally great!

It's so thick and silky and rich and luxurious - just amazing to use on the body. I like how instantly hydrating it is and how it isn't greasy or oily. It absorbs pretty quickly really.

For me the negatives are the format it is packaged in. I don't like how the tub is pretty much identical to the hair food - it could make for some confusing showers haha. I also don't like scooping product out of a tub and it is easy to scoop far too much each time.

The packaging bugbear aside, I very much enjoyed the product itself.

This moisturizer is so good! I have very dry skin that gets quite itchy and most moisturizers will leave me with tiny red bumps and rashes. This Body Food Repairing Butter is everything it says on the packaging! When you put it on its like you have given enough your skin a good drink, it works so nicely on my arms and legs without any irrations but on other parts of my body like my stomach it did still leave the wee bumps but like I said most creams will do this to my skin but where I am the dryest on my arms and legs its perfect even after shaving so I am stoked that it works so well on my major problem areas.

The consistency to this product is not heavy at all it's not like a traditional thick body butter its thick bit sinks into the skin with ease and doesn't leave a film or residue or leave your skin feeling wet or sticky its just instant hydration that is so comfortable on the skin. I use this on my body at night after my evening shower and I don't even need to moisturize in the morning because my skin still feels so plump and looks fantastic.

The smell is devine not overwhelming at all it's a very light yummy scent much like the Garnier Hair food, which leads my to the only thing I don't overly like with this product ..... the packaging I would have like to see the packaging look a but more "skincare like" just because it looks very similar to the hair food to the point where my daughter thought it was the macadamia hair food and put it in the shower to use! I do like that the tub is massive and you get a huge amount of product that will last you a long time, I just think they could have made it a bit more distinguished from the hair care line.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has that dry scaley like skin because my skin has never looked or felt this good before the formula is 10 out of 10 for sure!

I am going to purchase the watermelon body food because I think that this one will be so soothing and a but lighter on skin for the summer, I thinks it's great that they have released a few different versions of this of this because there will be something for everyone's skin needs with different levels of hydration.

Garnier knocked it out of the park with this launch!

I love body butters so was excited to try this one and was not let down it comes in a large tub very similar to the garnier hair mask with easy to read labels telling you exactly what type of skin it’s for.

When you open the container there is a delightful scent and a glossy butter inside as you rub it onto your skin it definitely absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy like som body butters tend to.

My skin definitely feels a lot less dry and I look forward to continuing this over summer

The packaging is pretty much the same as most body butters. It comes in a plastic tub which you unscrew to allow you to get into the jar. I love this kind of packaging as it’s easy to use and you can get every last drop of the cream. The container is also great for re-using once it’s empty to store other things, like paint, for instance, if you don’t want to paint straight out of a large tin. The consistency of the body butter is really nice, not too thick as you find with some body butters. It goes on easily and smells divine. It soaks in well and it left my skin feeling really soft. I would allow it to just soak in for a few minutes before dressing.

My skin tends to be dry and I definitely felt that my skin was so much more hydrated and moist when using this body butter.

I will definitely use this body butter again when I run out of this jar.

Wow! If I only had to use one word for this product that would be it.

The smell! Tick tick tick. Not over powering and smells like you would eat it!

It really does hydrate your skin. Even after using it in the morning and showering later in the day your legs still feel moisturised.

I love that it is in a tub rather then a squeeze bottle. I hate when you have moisturised 1 leg the have to squeeze tube again getting outside all slimy. Plus you can be sure right at the end you have got all the product.

It is easy to spread around and you don't need a heap to do this like some other moisturisers. Great consistency!

Only thing I have to say is weird is the picture on the tub. I get that it's a supplement with the 2 elements in it. But I only know that cause I have read about the product 1st. To be honest it looks like a weird cartoon kumera or something like that haha.

I absolutely loved using this, the biggest thing I look for in body lotions and body butter is that it moisturises well but doesn’t leave that greasy feeling on the surface of your skin. I feel like this body really gets into the skin rather than just sitting on the surface. It also doesn’t take forever to rub in which is nice and smells amazing! I do have really dry skin and sometimes cracked skin which I don’t think this gets rid of the extreme patches of dry skin, it definitely helps but I find that if I’m going through a period where my skin is super dry and cracked I’d have to use a stronger lotion or cream

I loved this, I have dry skin and after using it for nearly a week my skin looks and feels so much better. It really does leave the skin feeling good for ages, no need to reapply multiple times during the day. It's a very lush thick cream that soaks in to the skin really well. I also love that the tub is huge so it's really good value for money. This is my new fave moisturizer, especially with summer coming. If you are thinking of trying it I'd say go for it you will not be disappointed.

I really, really wanted to trial this body butter and I am so lucky and thankful that I got to. I absolutely love the Garnier Fructis hair food so I was wondering if I would feel the same way about this body superfood. Well, yes, yes and yes! I love it and I am going to try each of the flavours. This body superfood comes in a sturdy 380ml recyclable plastic tub which is good for the world. The labelling is attractive with a lot of information on it so you can make an informed choice when you are shopping. I chose the cocoa and ceramide one because my skin has started to become dry and the label states :very dry skin:. The first time I used this was in the morning after my shower. I spread it onto my legs, hands and arms. The formula is thick and creamy and smells wonderful. The scent is not overpowering though, which is great because it wont clash with your fragrance. As I smoothed it over my legs I could see instantly a transformation of my skin. I looked smooth and nourished. It absorbed really well and I didn't feel like I was covered in a thick layer of cream, which can happen with some body butters I have used. The label states 48 hour repairing butter and I was super interested to see how true that statement was. I paid special attention to my arms and legs that evening to see how they looked and felt and I was so happy. My skin looked and felt as soft and smooth as it did that morning. The following morning I applied the superfood again after my shower and my skin just got better and better. I didn't realise just how dry it was until I used this. This will be part of my daily routine from now on, and I am excited to try the other flavours.

I was lucky enough to trial this product for Beauty Review. It comes in a pot with a screw top lid which works well for body butter - easy to open and scoop out what you need. The packaging is recyclable which is important to me. This product smells divine! I used it the evening that I received it after a bath and it absorbs into the skin really well. I didn't feel at all sticky getting into bed. The next morning when I woke up my skin still felt moisturised and I could still feel that the product was on there and working. Overall, my skin feels more moisturised having used this for a week and bonus, I smell great too!
