Garnier Body Superfood Watermelon and Hyaluronic Acid

This product was amazing, I have really dry skin on my legs and this product made them feel so soft and moisturized. It's not thick and heavy like others, it's light and refreshing. I would definitely recommend you try it!

Thanks for another absolute winner from BR. I've tried most of the Garnier Superfood Haircare range so was super excited to try the bodycare range.

I love the distinctive tubs these products come in - they're not full of nasties ((96% natural ingredients!), and they smell so delicious.

The watermelon one is fairly true to it's true scent - it's not too overly sweet or overpowering, and lingers nicely. The best thing of all is how quick this one absorbs into the skin. It promises 48hr hydration, and although I've been using it daily, I feel like it would be still nice and hydrating after a full day. I noticed after a day out in the garden that when my skin warmed up I could get the occasional whiff of watermelon which was so nice.

I prefer to use it after a shower or bath to make the most of soft skin - a little goes a long way, and with the quick absorption, you don't have to wait around for ages before getting dressed.

It's a great price point - the perfect size for sitting on the bathroom shelf, and is stackable (more flavours here I come!)

I really enjoyed trialling this product. Firstly, the scent is amazing, the first thing I noticed when opening the container was the summery fruity scent. I love that when you apply it to your skin, the scent lasts on your skin for quite a while. The lotion is smooth and easy to apply to the skin, and absorbs quickly just as it claims to. You don't need to use a lot of product when applying as it spreads so easily. I really like that its not a greasy formula so you can apply it straight after a shower and not have it transfer on to your clothing. It feels very hydrating and doesn't make your skin feel tight or tacky like other brands I have tried. I think this product is very well priced at around $16, and the container is huge (with product filled right to the top), so it will last a while. Overall I am very impressed with this product and would definitely repurchase as its so affordable.

This comes in a big tub, just like the hair food. Upon opening, the scent of watermelon is quite strong but it does die down on the skin. The formula is a pink gel cream, that goes on easily and absorbs really quickly. It’s ideal for using in warmer months as you can get dressed straight away and it doesn’t feel sticky.

I was initially attracted to this particular variety as it contains hyaluronic acid, an ingredient I love in skincare. My skin does feel hydrated but as for those “48h hydrating” claims? Well I shower every day so I can’t say if it hydrates for that long. It does leave my skin feeling hydrated all day and it felt even more so after a few uses. As for the other claim of “hydrate skin up to 10 layers deep”. I’m not sure that’s even scientifically possible.

Along with the bold claims, I’m also not a fan of the packaging. The texture is not so thick as to warrant it being in a tub. I feel a bottle or tube would be more hygienic and easy to store in the bathroom. Also the plastic the tub is made from is not easily recycled in my area. I think the tub is really just to fit into the branding for the superfoods range.

Overall this a good product that I enjoyed using. If you are looking for a gel cream for summer and love the smell of watermelon, then this is for you!

I really enjoyed the scent of this product..and the texture. Hydrates for roughly 36hrs before skin starts to appear dry again.. It clearly does what it says except for the time frame.. is an absolute pleasure to use - my sister and neice tried it and love it aswell.

On first opening the Garnier Body Superfood Watermelon and Hyaluronic Acid to get my first impressions, I must say I was a little disappointed with the scent. I honestly thought it would have a light watermelon scent but it smells to me as though it has the same basic fragrance as a lot of other Garnier products, with a slight cucumber scent added. That being said, the body gel-cream surpassed expectations with its performance. Hydration is second to none, and I found it so satisfying to run my hands over my skin and revel in the softness it provides. I find that due to a health condition, no matter the weather nor the season, my skin is constantly dry and dehydrated. This body cream has removed the yucky papery and roughness to my skin, and the hydrating effects last for the full 48 hours on me which I absolutely love. The consistency is neither too thick nor thin, and I found that I didn’t need to use a huge amount to ensure my skin gets fully hydrated and soft. There’s no lingering stickiness or greasiness on my skin afterwards and it’s absorbed quickly, so I love that I can dress straight after putting the cream on. I will definitely be purchasing more of this, and I’m keen to try all the other ones as well. Another excellent product yet again from Garnier.

A moisturiser that’s a gel and a cream in one?! I am a huge fan of the Garnier hair food range, so I was incredibly excited to be a part of this trial.

The package is a pot with a screw top lid. A nice, decent size and a little certainly goes a long way. I personally prefer a pump bottle as I hate closing lids with greasy hands afterwards, but it’s not a major.

Now for the smell. As I have tried three of the hair food products, I was looking forward to drooling every time I open the lid. However, for me, the smell is not drool worthy. It smells like fake watermelon flavoured candy tastes. Not my cup of tea, but the scent doesn’t linger on the skin for a long time, so it’s not too bad.

I definitely feel like my skin is hydrated and plumper looking, especially on my legs. Just in time for summer! I do really like how this moisturiser feels. If you apply a bit too much, it takes a long time to soak into the skin properly - less is more! It’s better to apply a little and then add more as you need it.

So first thing I have to say about this as you can tell from the title…It. Smells. Amaaazzinggg!! You know when you get a watermelon scented anything and theirs a very light hint of smell? This is like a big sweet watermelon bang of smell opening the jar. Sooo good. Worth mentioning my skin can be sensitive but the fragrance didn’t irritate my at all, not even a slight sting which is a normal reaction from some moisturisers I’ve tried in the past. It has hyaluronic a lucid in it which is great for holding moisture in the skin. The tub is huge, such a generous size and the product is light and a little goes a long way and it is slightly gel like and has a lot of slip I guess (there’s a word for that I can’t think of right now, high viscosity maybe haha) As a dry skin sufferer I’m used to heavy oily thick moisturisers and this is light fresh and non greasy. So it’s a huge change from my usual. I did find I needed to apply daily although it states it hydrated for 48hours but it’s worth mentioning I get very dry skin…it’s probably still working deep down inside my skin layers. It absorbs into the skin fully in a few minutes and leaves it fresh feeling and soft…did I mention the smell? So good. This tub is going to last me a long time and I’ll definitely be purchasing and trying the others in the range I’m really impressed with it. Definitely recommend trying and so keen to continue using throughout summer.

I absolutely loved this body superfood cream. It is very light and easy to use...no sticky after it and my skin absor it in minutes...feeling fresh and smooth from the 1st time. I liked the fragrance, very summery and cool....my skin is smoother and hydrated from the 1st time I have used it and I will keep using it and definitely will recommend it to friends!

Always on the look out for a good moisturizer, especially during the summer months.

This moisturizer has a subtle scent to it, which I love. Absorbs and hydrates onto skin almost immediately .

I haven't noticed any big changes to my skin but excited to continue to use it after upcoming beach days

The cream itself isn't too thick , light enough to be absorbed into skin straight away.

Would be perfect for winter time when skin tends to be a bit dryer
