I hadn't used Garnier in a hot minute as ive been trying out more natural products so when i got offered to review these i put my hand up. I really enjoyed using these both. Shampoo leaves your roots feeling fresh and clean. conditioner leaves the rest of your hair feeling nice and smooth. The packaging is simple, easy to read and biodegradable. Im glad it smells yummy and not like aloe vera. Id recommend these to my friends and others.

Tips: Shampoo on the roots ! conditioner on the ends!
The first thing I noticed about the Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food shampoo was it lathered up really well on the first application, which I find is not the case with nearly all other shampoos I have used, so that was a nice surprise. I need very little to get a good lather too, so that's a saving. This shampoo is a gel with a lovely light refreshing fragrance and I like the way it makes my hair feel (before conditioning), not all straw like and heavy which some do, that is a definite winner for me. I also love that it is created from natural products and not tested on animals, is bio-degradable and the bottle is fully recyclable.
After loving the Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food Shampoo I was disappointed in this conditioner. It is a very thin, runny consistency, unlike other conditioners which are usually a lot thicker and coat the hair to do their job. I didn't find it detangles as it claims but it did rinse off fast and my hair does feel soft but it's a bit fluffy for my liking. I feel it should have a bit more guts for dry to normal hair to give that conditioned feel and smooth look. It does smell lovely though with the same light scent as the shampoo, it's biodegradable, vegan and the bottle is also recyclable so top marks to Garnier for doing their bit for our planet.
Overall, shampoo & conditioner as a whole? Shampoo worked miracles to clean my hair and hydrate it. Conditioner does as any conditioner would.
It's a little meh for me, take it or leave it with the conditioner- not convinced you NEED it as a duo.
You could easily pair the shampoo with your fave conditioner of choice.
The packaging is cute though, lids a little harder to open (for me anyway)
YES to the shampoo MEH to the conditioner
Tips: The conditioner is on thin, milkyer side so becareful not to squeeze to much out.
Overall I was really impressed by this, the first thing that intrigued me was the packaging as I thought it was quite cute and made it seem different to a regular shampoo. Both the shampoo and conditioner smelt amazing and very fresh which I love however I didn't find the smell to last that long - I assume its because it's not super fragranced. Overall it did the job and I really liked the texture of both. Using them together works quite well but I wouldn't say you'd have to buy both. The only thing I will say is that you don't get a lot as the bottles are quite small.
This Duo are both a thin creamy constancy, that is easy to use. The shampoo has a great fragrance and the conditioner was i little less to my liking but still in keeping with the shampoo. I did find i needed to use a little more shampoo than conditioner with this duo, i think that's OK as i was using it less often. I would normally was my hair every other day (activity dependent) i was able to do 3-4 with these so would last a decent amount of time for me. While i do find this a little more expensive than other supermarket brands i'm using it less often so will still work out a good price per usage. These slender rectangular bottles are easy to hold and use, are a nice colour and have clear information on the label. My hair has been left with a nice natural shine and nicely hydrated which it is what the labels say they do, my slightly frizzy ends are much less of an issue and less visible.
If your like me where your hair is getting slightly dry at the ends and just loses its nice natural shine quickly then this is for you. It smells pretty good and you end up with healthy looking hair that needs less washing.
Tips: If you can purchase on special its a pretty good discount and when your hair is feeling more healthy after a couple of weeks you wont regret it!
The first thing I like is the packaging! Different from the classic Garnier shampoo/condition slim bottles - it is super cute, reminds me of a juice bottle. The bottles look and feel like a premium version of the classic Garnier range. The breakdown of ingredients on the back of the bottles is easy peasy to understand, with 96-98% of natural origin products I found it an interesting read.
As all Garnier products do - it smells yummy. I wasn't quite sure what to expect with Aloe Vera, it was light and refreshing but not overpowering.
I always try to use the same brand and range of shampoo and conditioner to make sure I am getting the intended outcome. The combination works well with my hair, leaving it feeling light, fresh, and clean. The products do what they say, and as far as being a supermarket brand product it is definitely one of the better ones I've tried. I probably liked the shampoo better, it lathered well in my hair (which always feels satisfactory). I always shampoo twice and condition once. I only use the conditioner on the lower parts of my hair - the ponytail. I may have used a bit more than typical (due to it coming out the bottle quicker than expected) it left my hair feeling nice and soft.
At a 350ml volume bottle, I would expect it would last me a few weeks. It is on the smaller size, which is good if you are just wanting to try a new product out. The price point of $12.00 each!! (full price at countdown) is way more than I wouldn't want to pay for a supermarket brand hair product especially since I grew up using the classic Garnier range which on sale was $3! It is currently on sale for $8.40 which is more realistic in my opinion.
First of all, I love that this uses less plastic and is 100% recyclable - I’m glad the big brands are trying to reduce plast bottles. The shampoo was ok and the conditioner was better. But used together I think gave the best results. The scent lasts longer and my hair was softer and more manageable. Love this for anyone who wants does the job hair care without breaking the bank.
Tips: Remove the caps from the bottles before recycling!
Fabulous Loud Packaging.. the smell is divine, thought consistency was little light as i would prefer a bit thicker shampoo. but does smell so nice and you dont need alot of application to cover the hair..
I do wash my hair daily so its great for everyday use. but it wasn't the right shampoo for my hair type i found it a bit dry for my hair..
But it is a nice light shampoo that on the right hair could be used every day.. least your shower is going to smell amazing when you use this shampoo and conditioner.
Garner defiantly know how to make good supermarket affordable hair care products. i defiantly still would recommend for the right hair type..
I like this conditioner. It's nice, but I did find it too watery. I got the opportunity to trial this Garnier Aloe Conditioner alongside the shampoo and as previously stated in my shampoo review, the biggest let down is that the packaging doesn't look cute and it looks like a healthy smoothie sitting in my bathroom. That aside, this conditioner smells quite nice but I did find the consistency too watery. It did leave my hair feeling nourished and hydrated, and my split ends were less noticeable, but I wasn't amazed by it. All in all, I'd use it and enjoy it for the smell but probably wouldn't repurchase.
Tips: I leave it in for a few minutes while I shave my legs etc. This ensures it has maximum amount of time to nourish my hair.
My first impressions of the product is that it made my hair feel smooth and silky, without the film and oily texture that some shampoo and conditioners leave, the first day I used the products I had a co-worker compliment how healthy my hair looked, which is always a bonus! I often find that with hydrating shampoo / conditioner combos they leave my hair feeling oily and in need of re-washing the next day, however I was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case with this product. The products have a nice and natural scent.
Tips: I would recommend this product to anyone who has dry or damaged hair. This product also works for people with thinner hair and less volume as it does not have a 'weigh down' affect.
