As a fan of Garnier hair care I was excited to receive this to review.
It's very thick, like a super luxe conditioner. It has a lovely scent, it reminds me of cool cucumber.
I like the tub, it's full of information, and is very sturdy. You could take it away with you in your overnight bag or suitcase.
I think this is too rich for a conditioner, but as a treatment mask it is amazing. Hair is left very smooth and silky and looks less frizzy. I was left with an amazing shine to my blonde hair.
If you're using this as a leave-in product, go easy, you only need the teeniest amount to use as a smoothing balm.
I'll definitely happily pick this up again when I run out, it's a really lovely, nourishing mask!
I love the Garnier Hair Food masks - I can't go by them when they're on sale, they always end up in my trolley!
Like the rest of the range this comes in a large tub. It makes scooping a nice dollop out easy, but it can get a bit water logged if you have no where to put it in the shower that's handy to reach but out of the shower stream.
This mask is super thick, rich and creamy. I sort of scoop up a dollop in the middle of my palm (how does one quantify a dollop?!) I've used this a few times for my review but will likely only use once a week from now on.
It's immediately softening and a wide tooth comb glides through. After use my hair feels so soft and is shiny . It looks healthy and refreshed, but isn't fluffy or unmanageable.
I basically leave it in for around 3 minutes, so I guess I'm using it as a mask more than a conditioner, but it would be perfect to use as a conditioner (maybe less slathering for more than weekly use?)
I haven't tried it as a leave-in, the idea doesn't appeal to me, as a regular hair oil user and I'm more than happy with its performance as a mask.
The only reason this isn't full marks for me is simply the fragrance isn't that WOW factor the other Hair Food flavours have. It's nice, its fresh, but it isn't mouth wateringly yummy, which I've come to expect from the range.
