I think this product is a good all round conditioner. It’s not going to change your life but it’s a perfectly good cruelty free option.
First of all, I love the smell of this product. I didn’t find it to be super strong but it does smell like banana.
The packaging of this conditioner is nice - the bottle is compact so it doesn’t take up much space in the shower. The packaging is a bit ‘busy’ though.
In terms of performance, I did notice that it was detangling. It did not weigh down my hair like some other conditions. It was nourishing, although not the most nourishing condition I’ve used. I suppose it’s a trade off between being super rich and nourishing and not weighing hair down. I do think my hair looks slightly more healthy.
I did have to use quite a bit of product so I’m not sure how long the bottle will last me.
Overall, a perfectly good option that does somewhat do what it says it will!
This conditioner is great, the smell is yummy and the texture is thick and slippery enough that it coats the hair nicely for detangling and is easy to get out of the bottle. I have dry hair and I use the Garnier hair food deep conditioner once in a while, whereas this conditioner is great for use every wash day. It's vegan and silicone free which is a huge plus. The container is a good size (small enough for travel) and you just squeeze the bottle to get the conditioner out rather than a pump, so there's no wastage. I've also tested it out as a leave in conditioner - I have wavy hair and when it gets a bit flat or out of shape I wet it with my hands and smooth in a small amount of conditioner. This works great for that purpose as it's quite lightweight. Garnier is usually quite affordable so I would definitely recommend if you see it at the supermarket.
Tips: Don't apply to the roots or scalp area to avoid build up
