This product is all you need for amazing hair. You can use it three ways, as a conditioner, a mask and a leave in product. I tried all three. As a conditioner it made my hair perfectly tangle free and left it with a shine when dry. As a mask it gave it a little bit of extra nourishment but I would only use it like that once a month. And my absolute favorite was as a leave in , which I use daily to smooth my new fly away regrowth. Previously, the regrowth was driving me insane with little frizzy wisps poking out, but now its smooth and above all the hair food has this delicious tropical fruit smell. I smell good enough to eat. I also found it doesn't weigh your hair down and make it limp like a lot of conditioners do on fine hair. I love the fact that this product has no parabens, silicones or artificial colourants. This is one of the many reasons I will continue to use this product again.

Tips: Use a very tiny amount on the palm of your hands and smooth over hair for shine and smoothness. It works as an anti frizz agent on my hair. I still use as a conditioner plus as a leave in using this gentle method and am delighted with the result.
I found the tub quite large and fiddly for the shower. It wasn’t the easiest to get the lid screwed back on with product on your hand and rinsing the product off to screw the lid on seemed a waste of product. I tried this as a conditioner, a mask and a leave in but it just wasn’t right for me. It smells great but for me it had a strong after smell which I wasn’t a fan of. It has a thick consistency and coated the hair well but when rinsed out my hair didn’t feel conditioned like I get from other product. I wanted to love this like I do the shampoo bar but unfortunately it’s just not a product I would purchase
First off, this is a huge pot! Very good value. Oh my gosh the scent is dreamy, sweet like banana lollies, so nice. This hair food is thick and deliciously creamy, a little goes a long way. I use as a conditioner after washing with the banana shampoo bar and it glides through my hair like butter. This product is fantastic! It's nourishing, my hair appears less dry but at the same time it does not weigh my fine hair down! I always find my hair looks flat after day 1 but these two combined I have volume for days. I love this treatment and will buy again, I've not used a moisturizing product in the past that wasn't heavy so this is a winner!
Tips: A little goes a long way
I have been a longtime fan of Garnier Hair Food, but honestly can't remember if I have tried the Banana one!
This time I used it, following the Shampoo Bar (also amazing. The shampoo Bar left my hair feeling clean, but tangly (to be expected with my curls).
I slathered on the Hair Food, and went about the rest of my shower routine. After a few minutes, I was able to run my fingers through (slowly) and detangle my hair. I rinsed out the Hair Food, and my hair instantly felt soft and delicious.
Combined with the Shampoo Bar, the Hair Food left my hair smelling amazing all day - even prompting a compliment from my pre-teen (so rare).
Hair Food is an amazing product. I use it for deep conditioning, a normal condition, and a leave in conditioner. The tub last for ages, and I have shoulder length curls.
Tips: Start small, and build up. The product goes further than you think!
Love, love, love this product! A little goes a long way and it leaves my hair feeling fantastic!
I have fine hair that is just below my shoulders in length. Because it is so fine it can feel weighed down quite easily but this product manages to be thick and luxurious without being heavy. I love that Garnier Fructis Nourishing Banana Hair Food can be used as a conditioner, hair mask, or a leave-in treatment.
I apply a small amount to my hair and leave it in while washing my body before rinsing off. It is so simple to use, smells great, leaves my hair feeling fantastic, and all for a great price. This is one product that I will be buying again!
Tips: Use as a conditioner, mask, or leave-in treatment depending on your time and hair needs.
Used this is conjunction with the hairfood shampoo bar - what a combo! The packaging is really bright and cheerful and somehow feels eco friendly. The scent of this is absolutely stunning. I tried it as a general masque first which I left on for about 2 minutes and then washed off, i have also tried it as a general conditioner but found it a bit thick for general use. However my hair was sooo silky and smooth after using it. The price point is slightly high and you can get other products with the same results, but I really rate this product for the eco friendly and natural feel it gives, with really lovely ingredients. Awesome product.
I purchased this from Countdown as I was wanting something for my hair to help the frizz. It definitely does help to make my hair smoother but doesn't remove all frizz. I use this is my daughters hair also, and my husband is now using it for his beard as he says it hydrates it. The smell is good, it's not too intense which I like. The tub makes it easy to take the amount you need
Tips: Wash your hands after
This product is now going to be a staple hair conditioner, treatment or leave in mask. I want to try all the flavours. It surprisingly made my hair soft and smelling delicious and wasn’t too heavy either. My mum used some also who never uses conditioner as her hair is so oily but this was really good on her hair and didn’t make it extra oily.
Tips: Use in conjunction with the banana hair soap they are a march made in heaven.
Thanks for letting me review this product I was first blown away by the size of it and I thought this is great it’s easy to use and store in the shower I good generous size. I smell it and it almost smells like a really nice banana smoothie lol. It’s has a nice creamy texture and goes on your hair nice and thick and I leave it in for a good five minutes or so it rinses out nice and clean and my hair feels really nice but smells amazing. I’ve used it as a mask/conditioner now for a good week and I really like it, I have thick dry frizzy hair and once it’s dry and styled I find it’s definitely not that frizzy so this is def going to be my go to for the moment and to be honest I can’t resist the smell it’s so nice.
Tips: You don’t need a huge amount, also a lovely leg moisturizing cream while shaving.
Absolutely loved this product. The feel the smell the container the result. Value for money is soooo groovy!!+!my hair looks like its been to the salon for a wash after i use this i reckon anyway!!love it
