Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana Shampoo

The most amazing thing about this shampoo is the smell, you feel like you are somewhere tropical. The shampoo has a good lather and the smell lasts a long time. A good treat for my hair and it felt well nourished after using it.

I received the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana Shampoo and the first thing that caught my attention was the yellow bottle - such a great size for travelling or small showers. The colour and image were so inviting my husband thought it was a smoothie!

The bottle is easy to pop open at the top, and the scent is exceptional. I honestly was taken to a tropical island while the banana scent filled the shower and my hair was cleansed with the goodness of this product. Easy to lather and it left my hair feeling clean and nourished.

I love that this a vegan product (which I'm not even sure if other shampoo's are not vegan) but it is stated so that makes people who are vegan feel good about the ingredients. The bottle itself is 100% recyclable and is made from 50% recycled plastic.

My children loved the scent and enjoyed their hair smelling like fruit, which was pretty cute. Definitely a product I will carry on using for the scent, the result and that the ingredients are 96% natural.

I was really excited to try this as I have been loving the banana hair mask/treatment for the past few years.

This shampoo is great! A little goes a long way and it cleans beautifully. I often need to double shampoo due to product build-up but not with this. It left my hair feeling clean but not stripped of the protective oils our hair needs to stay healthy and glossy.

I'm currently on day three and my hair does not look or feel like it needs washing again! A total bonus as I have bright red hair and the less I need to wash it the longer my colour lasts! On that note, I did not feel this shampoo stripped my colour any more than my salon brand shampoo.

I will 100% continue to use this shampoo!

I'm a big fan of the Garnier Fructis Hair Food treatment range, so I was super excited to try this new product out. The bottle itself is a cute yellow with a fantastic lid that is easy to open and clicks shut with a solid click. I hate when bottles are impossible to open with wet hands, or don't shut properly and leak everywhere so this was an instant win for me.

The product itself is clear and quick a thick consistency so doesn't drip everywhere, and it lathers up really beautifully. The bottle doesn't suggest washing twice, but this is something I do regularly as per hairdresser instructions, so I only needed such a small amount to get a really great lather and clean. The scent of the shampoo is meant to be banana, but doesn't really smell like that to me at all. I guess banana is quite a hard scent to recreate - it's not a bad scent, just not banana-ey.

The shampoo doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped or dry, and rinsed out beautifully. Overall, this is a real winner for me

I was super excited to be on this trial as I absolutely love the Garnier Hair Food range. Thanks BR! If I saw it in the supermarket banana is the one I would have picked first, so as soon as it arrived on my doorstep I ripped it open and couldn't wait to use it. The packaging is cool, it reminds me of a banana smoothie bottle.

First of all the smell.....omg it is delicious! Really smells like banana and has no fake, chemical scent. It is a golden colour with a semi thick consistency. It lathers up beautifully in my hair and creates a lot of suds. It washes out easily and doesn't leave my hair feeling like a tangled mess. I also get no colour wash out with this.

Once dry my hair feels clean and soft. The smell  lingers and I love getting whiffs of it throughout the day. I recommend using with the matching conditioner for soft, shiny hair. I look forward to trying the rest of the range.

I was so excited to receive an invitation for this trial (thanks BR) because I'm mad obsessed with all things banana. I tried the mask of this when it first came out and was hoping for a shampoo and conditioner to go with it. Thank the heavens someone was listening lol.

So let's talk about packaging first - comes in a squeeze bottle with a flip lid to open and close. I don't want to start off negative but do you have to be a super hero to open this lid? I struggled to open this and still have issues with it. Maybe I'm just weak cos man.......lol.

Anyhoo, enough about the negatives, let's talk about that smell - oh my goodness. It takes all of my self control not to want to eat it, it's soooo good. My hair smells like banana for so long after it's been washed.

It comes out really thick and clear (not yellow) and lathers up really well. By this time, my hair is already nice and soft before applying the conditioner.

It leaves my hair super soft and hydrated. Definitely helps with my dry hair.

I was excited to try this new Garnier Fructis shampoo - less excited to discover the shampoo for dry hair was banana flavoured. It turns out the scent of these products is a delicious and not overpowering tropical fruity smell.

Being marked as 96% natural origin and of a 95% biodegradable formula, Garnier is acknowledging this product isn't perfect but is super close. I also appreciate the fact it's free of silicones.

This Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana Shampoo squeezes out of the bottle easily and is thick and translucent, easy to measure out in your hand. it doesn't foam up too much but or feel as if it's stripping your hair of moisture, but it distributes through your hair easily.

Once dry my hair smelt pleasant enough and the final result lives up to the "no weigh down" promise on the bottle.

The bottle looks like it might contain a juice or smoothie. It is recyclable and made with 50% recycled plastic, however I find the flip cap a bit difficult to open with wet hands in the shower - it seems like the cap isn't quite tall enough.

I need to use the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana Shampoo for much longer to understand the long-term benefits, however over the short term I'm happy to say my hair is looking clean and nourished.

This shampoo comes in a 350ml bottle. The shampoo is clear and smells delicious. It foams well and cleaned my hair and scalp without any irritations. You don't need to use much as it's quite concentrated and I can see it lasting a while.

The Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana Shampoo has been amazing for my hair. It feels fresh and clean after a wash with this shampoo and smells amazing.

The shampoo lathers up into a really nice lightweight foam which leaves my hair feeling fresh and cleansed but it doesn't feel stripped out or weighed down by product. My hair is left feeling clean and nourished.

The smell of this shampoo is just delicious, it is super fruity and yummy. Leaves my hair smelling like banana lollies.

I love that this is a vegan product with a lot of naturally derived ingredients but it is still and afforable accessible super market brand.

I will be buying this over and over again, my hair feels beautiful and healthy with this shampoo and I love it!!

I really liked using this range. I love their hair masks and these are perfect to add to the regime. I love the smell, this one smells like banana smoothie and also how it's 96% natural ingredients. I always shampoo twice as I find it cleans better. Would recommend
