This product is great, the tub is a large size and easy to open while in the shower The product is a thick creamy mixture and is dense, I have thick coloured hair and used this as a leave in conditioner after shampooing, it left my hair smelling great and nourished. I would use this at least 3 times a week for maximum results. It’s free of nasties so that’s great if you’re avoiding SLS, parabens etc! It also has a great mix of coconut oil, macadamia oil and more! The smell of the mask is buttery and nice it also isn’t too heavy on the hair! I hope this product becomes available at supermarkets cause I love it!

Tips: Use 3x a week or more for best results.
i love these hair masks, i have all 4 now. they smell amazing, they work better than expected and they leave my hair looking ah-may-zing.
like it's fruity counterparts, this is a generous sized tub of hair mask. they couldve made them half the size but other than the massive tubs taking up room in my cupboard, i'm glad they didn't.
macadamia isn't my favorite of the bunch, for two reasons - the smell is a bit bleh for my tastes, but its definitely nutty! i almost want to say it smells a bit chocolatey and maybe that's why i don't like it as much. the second reason i don't like it is for the "smoothing" it claims to do - i found it didn't do anything different to the other 3 conditioners, they all smoothed and tamed my hair the same way, there was nothing special or stand out about this one.
i've used this all three ways but my favorite is as a hair mask with a hot towel on my head for 5 minutes - oh the blisssss! i feel so pampered when i do this! i also like to mix all four smells together so i can have a fruity party on my head, and i love it.
one thing i do love about this hair mask though (all of them really) is that they dont make my hair dye run, or fade, or anything like that. it just sits there doing it's job and rinses out easily. it's a lovely mask, one i probably won't repurchase, but i do recommend it.
These masks are seriously so good. I now have tried all four. They are very affordable, even when they are not on special as the tub is a huge 390mls.
The macadamia smells nutty indeed, quite strong it isn't unpleasant but it's not my favourite scent in the range. I found it quite hydrating. It makes my hair feel soft so I differently notice a difference when my hair ends are super dry.
I think they are a fantastic range of hair masks especially for children. My daughter loves using these to help condition her hair as they smell fantastic.
Tips: Great for kids who don't like there hair being washed.
I have type 3a curly hair which reacts badly to shampoo. Garnier Fructis Hair Food Macadamia leaves my hair feeling hydrated after washing and replaces the need for any other products when washing my hair. However, I find that it weighs my hair down a little bit, so have switched to using the papaya hair food.
I was lucky enough to trial this product. I have dry, fine, frizzy hair; so any product that claims to nourish my kind of hair is something I want to try.
The tub is huge!! I love how large and generous it is. The hair food smells delicious, like macadamias and the texture is smooth and incredibly creamy.
I used the food as a mask and a conditioner, but it was more effective as a mask. I feel if you want the best results, you need to leave it in your hair for as long as possible. It didn't really work as a conditioner for me. While it did work, the results weren't long lasting. I was hoping it would leave my hair feeling soft and silky, and looking super shiny for at least 24hours; but I was lucky to get 12 hours out of it. So it IS good, but NOT as good/great as I hoped it would be.
Tips: Leave in for as long as possible. I found it more effective leaving it for around 6 minutes.
I brought this product while on special I have thick dry hair I thought this would help put moisture back into it . The product is very thick and you don’t really need to use much I left it in my hair after shampooing it for about 10 minutes once washed out my hair felt nice and healthy and full of moisture, it don’t really last long feeling this way as I thought it would I guess it works differently with all hair types
I love that it is a mask, conditioner AND a leave in. I prefer the aloe version as this one is quite heavy, but I found that it did what it says it does.
Tips: I have heard that if you have high porosity hair you should use the banana one as it has a lot more butter in it. But the Aloe has the most hydrating ingredients and no protein, so if your hair is on protein overload, that's probably the best one.
Backstory: I have VERY dry hair AND skin, so anything that claims to help is an instant “let’s try it” from me. I do dye my hair often, so that’s going to affect things a bit. This product is one of my favourites when it comes to conditioner. It comes in a sizeable pot, lots of instructions on the packaging and recyclable. The consistency is good, you don’t need a whole lot for just-below-shoulder length hair. A pot like this will last me a month, whereas a bottle lasts me usually two weeks or so. I love, love, LOVE that you can use it 3 ways. Conditioner, mask, or leave in* but read packaging for info on that. The product smells good, not unpleasant, but not overpowering. As for results, as previously mentioned, I have very dry hair and do dye my own hair once every two months or so, so I’m not surprised that I still suffer some dryness after using. That being said, there was an improvement for sure. I noticed more shine, more volume, and less frizz. It wasn’t a fix-all, but it would have to be an absolute miracle at this point. I would use again and again and again.
The tub is a very generous size and will last a long time. The smell was pleasant and it did leave hair feeling soft and manageable. However it did not wow me like some other products have done before.
Overall, I would say I found this product decent without raving about it or saying that it did anything remarkably different to other similar products.
The pot size is large and is easy to screw open the lid to get the product out. The smell is delicious and lingers for a few days after use.
The product itself is quite thick so you don't need to use too much but it integrates well into the hair without being too greasy. I prefer to use this just as a conditioner as i don't like leaving products in my hair and don't like the mess and annoyance of hair masks.
I enjoyed trialing this and would be keen to repurchase but will probably still use my regular conditioning products intermittently as well.
Tips: You don't need too much
