I religiously use Garnier Hair Food's Multi-Use Mask's and my favourite is the Papaya one, so I was very excited to see what the Hair Food conditioner would do, but sadly this isn't anything special, unlike the mask. The conditioner comes in a cute white bottle with an orange lid, with the classic Garnier hair food labelling. I like that the conditioner bottle looks different to the shampoo to make finding which one to use in the shower nice and easy. The label is a bit busy as it's covered in a heap of text, but aside from that it's cute packaging. It's also a good size for the RRP, and I like that it's vegan and the bottle is made of 50% recycled plastic. I like the flip top lid design and that the bottle is easy to grip in the shower, as there;s nothing worse than a bottle that's awkward to manouvre when wet, The conditioner itself is white in colour and EXTREMELY runny in texture. This is a bit of a pain, as no matter what, I always end up dispensing too much product, and with half of it not ending up on my hair but the floor, it's one of the runniest conditioners I have ever used (not sure why the product description says it has a rich texture). I've used this for 5 hair washes and although I like to use a generous amount of conditioner, there is only half a bottle left, so the runniness is definitely making me go through too much product too quickly, which isn't very economical. The conditioner however smells amazing, and has the classic Garnier Papaya hair food scent, that is super strong and delicious, and leaves my hair smelling great afterwards. To test the conditioner, I used it with the shampoo and without doing a hair treatment or mask for half my hair washes, and I used it with the Garnier Papaya Hair Food Mask from my bathroom cupboard the other half of my hair washes (as the conditioner recommends they be used in conjunction). Unlike the Papaya Hair Food Mask, this conditioner just didn't deliver. It is a fast rinse as promised on the packaging, but I didn't find it particularly good at conditioning or nourishing my hair, which was very clear when using this without a hair mask or hair treatment afterwards. This is a shame, as the Papaya Hair Food Mask conditions so well, I just expected this to be as amazing. I don't think this really did anything for my hair, it didn't do anything horrible or make my hair feel bad, but I don't feel like it conditioned much or delivered it's promises of nourishing and repairing damaged hair. I wouldn't go out and buy this myself to use in future, I think Garnier's lower priced conditioners already do a better job than this one, and I wouldn't waste the extra $$ on this conditioner. Nothing bad will happen if you use this, I just don't think it's anything special and there's cheaper conditioners out there that offer similar results.

I was really excited to review this range as I Always loved the Garnier range and the smell of the original ranges they had. When this range arrived I had it sitting on our table and my 3 year old thought it was bottles of juice!! Not sure if the packaging is a good idea or Not? Love the scent and the idea but the consistency of the conditioner is just too runny I end up having to use much more. I’m finding it’s not enough moisture for my hair it’s still knotty and not soft and smooth. Unfortunately the scent is great but the product isn’t suited for my hair type. Happy enough to use it on my kids thou.
While I really enjoyed the packaging and scent of this conditioner I didn’t find it helped much with my dry ends or do anything for the damage. It does de tangle my ends but I actually prefer to use the original tub (mask) as a conditioner . I will use this again because I do think it’s good value and I love the fragrance but for my dry ends I need something a little bit more nourishing. This is a great option for those that have fine hair though as it doesn’t weigh it down at all.
Picked up in the vault. Matching cute milk bottle look packaging to the shampoo. Fits easily in my small shower caddy. Smells wonderful. Quite a liquidy formula, not like traditional, thick like conditioners.Quite a good conditioner but not as hydrating as I need for my wavy, thick hair.
It's a nice product but just not enough for my hair. I will finish this up but won't be repurchasing. Plan to try some other products in the range instead.
Just like the shampoo comes in easy to use and store bottle. Product is of creamy texture very easy to apply and rinse off. Liked that it didn’t leave a greasy feel or weigh down my hair. After drying hair I could see that hair was a lot smoother and less frizzy. Apart from the fragrance which I didn’t like everything else about this conditioner worked well. Will recommend and use again for damaged hair.
This conditioner has the same really nice scent as the shampoo, just not as intense. While I did like this conditioner, something that I look for in a conditioner is one that is really thick and creamy and is easy to apply to my long-ish strands. While this conditioner ticked the creamy box, I found that it was a bit too runny of a consistency for my liking, which made it trickier to apply to long hair and also doesn't really fit with what I would think of for a repairing conditioner (something super thick and nourishing - almost like a hair mask!). A nice product, but I might look for a thicker conditioner next time I need a replacement!
This range smells amazing, but unfortunately the conditioner I found was a little thin and didn't feel that moisturising or conditioning at all. However this would not deter me from buying the regime again because it smells so good and I love the shampoo.
Tips: You have to use quite a lot of product to make it feel like it is quenching your hair - so be prepared to go through the conditioner bottle like three times as fast!
This conditioner has a much more liquidy consistency, than its shampoo counterpart which threw me at first, splat! Now Iv'e got a little too much conditioner action happening but oh well lets get on with the show. I applied conditioner liberally to the mid and ends of my long, damaged (way overdue for a cut) locks, and it felt like it wasn't doing a whole lot at all. This is the point when I'd usually do a quick finger-brush detangle with conditioner in, but it just wasn't happening today. I applied more conditioner even more liberally and managed to get it all smoothed through, but at this rate I'm going to be using 3 bottles of conditioner per one bottle of shampoo. It wasn't til later that it dawned on me that my hair must have lapped up all that conditioner, hence feeling like it wasn't really there doing much, so I knew I had to prevail and give it a good few more days use. The next few days, I definitely still overused the conditioner, both because the runny consistency threw me yet again, and because my hair was so ready to soak it all up it took a bit to get it feeling soft and silky to detangle.
After about a week and a half use, my ends are still looking pretty damaged but I'm incredibly surprised by how super soft my hair is feeling, though with that it seems to also be looking a touch fluffy but that would likely be solved with a hair straightener.
Overall, I think my hair did really like this shampoo and conditioner combo even though it took a few washes to see some results, and I suspect I need to keep using it for a bit longer to really decide if its a good match for me (plus going for my overdue trim would likely help the situation), sometimes I find my hair will only like shampoos/conditioners for a certain amount of time before it feels like my hair goes backwards, hopefully not the case with this one because I do think its great its 98% organic. I would probably use this again, especially if my hair stays this soft using it!
When I first squeezed the conditioner into my hands I felt a wee bit unsure . It looked like it wasn’t gonna do much for my long hair that tangles easy due to damage . The conditioner looked very runny which was my concern , but I was pleasantly surprised by it as it detangled my hair and made it feel so soft . I really loved the smell too and I think you can actually see coconut in the conditioner. I thought it was nice and I would probably use it again.
I used this 4 times over 10 days, and really wanted to like this conditioner. Sadly, I didn't find it to be as moisturising as I need my conditioner to be. The consistency doesn't really allow you to layer up the conditioner either.
Tips: Use your fingers to rake it through the hair, especially if your hair is naturally curly.
