Tips: Definitely after shower ,tie in low pony tail and go to sleep ,it feels soft and smooth
I usually use this as a leave in conditioner, but it's amazing in the shower too. I have chemically treated hair that I often use heat on and this seems to be helping to keep it on my head. When I apply a little bit on dry hair it soaks in nicely and doesn't leave it feeling thick or greasy, it's a great pick me up for when my ends start to feel dry a few days after I wash it
This product is amazing! I was doing a home job, bleach and colour (bright blue, pink and purple) and to ensure that my hair was in the best condition before I started using this product a few weeks prior to doing the dye job. It made my hair feel so healthy and strong then I continued to use the product after and I havent looked back since. It is the only product that I use as a conditioner in my hair now. It always leave my hair feeling soft and strong. The other great thing about this product is the smellllllll! It is divine! I could literally eat it! Its such a lightweight product. 10/10!
Tips: Use as a conditioner in the shower then add a small amount of product once out of the shower as a leave in conditioner then let your hair naturally dry!
I love this product, it has an amazing smell and can be used as a conditioning treatment or a leave in conditioner. I have used it for both and it leaves my hair feeling and smelling amazing.
Tips: If using as a leave in, don't put too much product in. I accidentally put a bit to much in and it made my hair feel yuck.
Backstory: I have VERY dry hair and skin, and often dye my own hair. I love these pots. I’ve tried most of them and Papaya is my favourite, if only for the smell. It’s gorgeous. Consistency is good, a pot like this will last me a month with hair just below my shoulders. You don’t need a whole lot for good coverage. Always lovely that it works 3 ways, conditioner, mask, or leave-in. Depends how I feel as I’m washing my hair. In terms of the claims of damage repairing, I suffer from a lot of breakage and hair falling out all over the place, due to a mixture of hair due and stress. I found that this product helped in terms of shine, volume, and less loss. It wasn’t a fix-all, but if you’re looking after your hair and body, this product is the way to go. The price is agreeable for the amount and results that you get.
All 3 females in the family have curls, this is perfect for using as a conditioner in the shower and leave in conditioner out of the shower, as it makes brushing less stressful and the curls look full of moisture. The smell off the product is natural, not overpowering.
Tips: Tips of curly hair when dry is best😊
I figured the Garnier Hair Food products were all mostly the same, so I unashamedly chose the one which I liked the smell of the most. Unfortunately this proved to be a poor decision, because I ended up finding it smelt kind of like sick… maybe that’s just me though.
As a hair mask it felt like a standard conditioner. It didn’t give any added benefits. So I used up the tub and elected to not repurchase.
The one good thing is that it is a generous size tub for a low price point.
I've used this product both as a mask and conditioner. It's too heavy for my fine hair to use as a leave in product. This product smells delicious! It initially leaves my hair feeling soft and hydrated. However it doesn't last long. I wouldn't say it does any kind of repair on damaged/ dry hair.
Tips: Don't use as a leave in if you have fine hair. It is too heavy and will weigh your hair down.
This is by far my favorite hair food. It smells great and very natural. I use it as a hair mask and conditioner and it leaves my hair soft and very manageble.
Tips: Grea to use as a hair mask
I have recently had my hair redone blonde so a full head of foils, I also have really thick hair that gets tangled very easily and got made a lot worse from the colouring. My hair felt straw like even after I had conditioned and I really needed something to help my damage. I have used this as a conditioner after normal blonde conditioning and then I also use about a 10c piece size in the mid lengths (where it knots and feels damaged) and the ends. I have noticed a significant difference in my hair, when it’s wet it feels so much smoother and when dry it’s a lot softer and even shinier. It doesn’t weigh your hair down as long as you don’t use too much. I was worried the smell was going to be over powering but it is really nice, fresh and smells amazing and leaves your hair smelling great! I would recommend to anyone who needs some hair repair.
Tips: Don’t use too much as a leave in conditioner as it does go a long way and you don’t need a heap. Also I normally do it on damp/wet hair after conditioning.
