Garnier green labs Smoothing Milky Wash with hyaluronic acid and watermelon and targets dehydrated skin and fine lines.
The wash is kind of like a milky colored gel and works like any other gel cleanser I’ve used.
The wash claims to remove makeup and impurities for smooth glowing skin without the tight dry feel. I felt it did have a slight tight feeling, but overall it was insignificant. As a makeup remover it did well however.
It also claims to leave skin bouncier over time. So far I can’t say I’ve noticed any change.
Garnier has marketed this product under their green labs label. As such, the packaging is made with 20% recyclable material, while the product is vegan, has no sulfates, microbeads, parabens or dyes, and it is made at a plant that uses renewable energy.
I really love to see big brands like Garnier making an environmental difference, so the green labs concept is a winner for me, but would love to see them continue to build on that until their packaging is made of 100% recyclable material.
Usually Garnier really impress me with their products, They do what they say they’re going to do with no frills or fanfare, but I just don’t love this one. It’s by no means bad, and it is a nice cleanser however I thought it would do more considering they’re branching out to include things like Hyaluronic acid. The branding was “milky” however I felt it was more of a gel or cream cleanser, the consistency was quite thick and I struggled to get it out of the lid. The smell was pleasant and the product size was very generous. I will say that a little goes a long way so you would get a lot of washes out of this, BUT I often felt like I needed to double cleanse, which I personally do not usually need to do. Following use, I did feel nice and hydrated which is a bonus. Overall this product was not bad, but did not wow me like I had hoped. It cleanses as it says but I did not notice any increases smoothness or change to fine lines as it implies.
Tips: If using to remove makeup, be prepared for a double cleanse.
