Garnier Green Labs Hylu-Melon Serum Cream SPF15

First of all, I love the scent. I personally like an artificial melon scent, but I know others aren't a fan of artificial smelling fragrances. I also liked that it didn't feel like sunscreen and didn't appear to throw a white cast.

However, I wouldn't say it was super hydrating. Certainly not 24 hour moisturization. My skin doesn't look or feel any bouncier. I don't feel like it has the efficacy of a quality serum, but obviously it's at a much lower price point.

I did find that some days it would kind of pill and ball up on my skin after about an hour or so? Kind of like when you're using a chemical peel and when you rub your skin, the dead skin cells and product ball up. And as this product doesn't contain any enzyme or chemical peeling ingredients.. I don't think it was supposed to do that?

I was quite excited to try this product as I've been a fan of Garnier products for a long time, and especially since this product claims to be an 'all-in-one' type of cream - it has serum, cream, and most importantly, sun protection!

I liked the twist pump feature, easy to dispense and not too much comes out at once so you can control how much you want to use on your face and neck. Aesthetically, I found the label design print on the plastic bottle could look much better, compared with other Garnier products.

I used this every morning after cleansing and before makeup. The scent is quite strong, but I found it pleasant and wasn't too bothered by it - the scent doesn't last very long.

Personally, I found the consistency was too thick for what I prefer in a day cream. I'm not sure if it's the volume of products packed in - cream, serum, sunscreen, that made it feel a little too much in texture. I found it quite hard to absorb into my skin, and massaging it into my skin until I couldn't see the whiteness of the product took longer than I'm used to with other serums or creams I regularly use.

The cream moisturizes my skin well, I could still feel the product on my skin hours after application so it's got good staying power. My skin felt slightly more plump and I love a day cream with SPF, but overall this cream probably isn't the right product for me as I didn't think the formula was as lightweight as it claimed to be.

As a basic economical day cream on a budget, I think it's fine but it wasn't above average for me. I appreciated the opportunity to try this product though! :)

I was quite interested to try this product, being a 3 in one product (spf, moisturisers and acts as a serum). First off the sent of the product was refreshing, however it did linger throughout the day. The texture was smooth and once rubbed into my face, was not tacky and it did not leave a residue. I found that this product did say what it said it would do, but all in all I would not replace this serum/ moisture/ spf with the ones I originally used as I found them to work better.

I was excited to try this product after using the milky cleaners from the same range. (which I loved)

However I was disappointed. It said its 3 in 1 and works well as a day wear under makeup. This was not the case. My makeup wouldn't set well and it moved all day.

The bottle it comes in looks cheap. The pump itself is great though. Also wasn't a fan of the smell but that's personal.

I started using it at night instead cause I wear makeup everyday. It's not intended for night use but I wanted to trial the product. It was OK but not great. I will stick to my current products and unfortunately wouldn't purchase again.

This product was a little bit of a let down. I used it every day and it was not as hydrating as it should be. It felt more like a sunscreen than a serum. I tried to use this under makeup and it peeled off all flakey. I am an avid sunscreen user and I needed to put sunscreen with it each time as the spf15 was not enough for me. It smelt quite nice and the pump was really easy to use. I don't think this product sits nicely on my skin and for that reason I would not buy again unfortunately. I was so excited about this but just didn't live up to my expectations. It is however a really cute bottle and has really cool colours. Really subtle for the bathroom. May work better on normal skin as mine is combination.

This serum is a nice introduction into serums for those just testing the waters, its affordable price and generous product size will make it a great option for first time serum users. I liked this product, but as with the cleanser, did not love it. I found the consistency made it hard to absorb into my skin and I had to work it in for a good 20 or 30 seconds to ensure it was absorbed into my face. The smell was pleasant and the pump applicator meant that the application was easier than other serums which have droppers and the like. This product markets itself as three products in one, a face cream, serum and spf in one. I found that I wasn’t able to use this under my makeup so it defeated the purpose of having an SPF for me, and while it was nice as a cream/serum, and I definitely felt my skin was plump and hydrated, I’m not sure the 3 in 1 functionality is for me. The fact that I had to rub it into my face for so long was a definite downside. I will likely finish the bottle I have but am unlikely to repurchase, sorry Garnier!

This is a really great idea having a serum and moisturiser in one it helps with making my morning routine a bit quicker. The SPF does leave a slight white cast initially but once the cream has sunk in to the skin it’s really nice and hydrating. It has a slight watermelon scent but it’s not overwhelming or drying. This makes as a great first step for makeup as i find it makes my foundation look more dewy and natural.

This was a very easy moisturizer as it covered most of things you want a moisturizer to do. When i first opened it, it smelt lovely like the cleanser but was not over powering. It had a lovely consistency about it, it was not too heavy and not too light. I only used it in the mornings because of the SPF aspect but it was lovely and light all day and didn't feel heavy or greasy. I'm not much of a makeup wearer so this was enough for me. It did not make me breakout at all which was really nice. I don't feel it plumpt my skin at all. But it made it keep its moisture but i didn't look oily. It was a lovely product and i would probably buy it again.
