The gel comes out clear and the consistency is thinner/runnier than my usual facial wash. I found it hard getting use to the fact is doesn't lather very much either as I'm used to products that produce lots of bubbles! It did a good job removing my make up but I did need to use micellar water after to get rid of some slight mascara panda eyes after too. Having said that, I tried to keep this product away from my eyes/eyebrows as I have powder brows and am trying to be careful about products that could make them fade quicker and I felt like the description of this product might do that. It removed my foundation well. My face was left looking clean and even but I did feel a little bit dry/tight directly after usage once I dried my face. I used the Pinea-C brightening serum cream in conjunction with this in the mornings which brought back lots of moisture to my skin though. The scent smells like something I'd want to drink during summer, I really like it so for that reason alone I'd buy it again.

What a great product that also smells amazing!
This cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped of the oils it needs. My skin looks glowy and healthy too. I love how a little goes a long way and I don't feel I need to use a lot of product and this will make it cost effective for people.
A great product.
I think this is a pretty good cleanser option that you can pick up from the supermarket without breaking the bank.
First of all, I was really happy to read Garnier is certified cruelty free. There really is no excuse for testing on animals in 2022, so this is super good news.
This cleanser comes in a tube with a flip top cap. The packaging is relatively sleek, but the busyness of the packaging makes it look a bit less luxurious.
The cleanser itself is good. It has a slightly sweet fragrance but it didn’t linger. The product easily spreads on damp skin. I felt that it did cleanse my skin, but didn’t leave my face feeling tight or stripped.
I think it has made my skin slightly more radiant/less dull. I can’t say it’s removed my impurities or smoothed my skin, but maybe I need to use it longer to see those benefits.
Personally, I prefer a foaming cleanser and something that can remove my eye makeup. I would use this cleanser as a second cleanse, or a cleanser in the morning rather than a product to remove makeup.
Overall, it might not be perfect for my needs given I prefer a cleanser that is foaming and is a bit more eye safe to remove eye makeup, but it is a good cleanser and I will use it up!
Tips: Keep it away from your eyes! I would not use this to remove eye makeup.
I was really surprised with this cleanser, i love the gel feeling to it and the packaging is really cute too! First time trying it & it had removed my mascara and just my daily day make up with ease! I love how it foams really nicely and just a pea size amount does my whole face and the fact it goes for $11.89 at chemist warehouse makes the value of it practically a steal. On day 3 I started to see more of a brighter complexion (in conjunction with using the matching serum). I’m a big fan of vitamin c in my skincare also which makes more of a reason to start adding this into my routine. Again I was really surprised as I’ve never really reached for Garnier products before!
Tips: Pea size amount with rubbing the hands together to make a really nice foam of the cleanser.
The packaging is nice and simple and not to over done. It’s a nice light green colour and the directions are easy to follow with all basic info needed.
The gel itself is quite light weight and has the faintest smell and is not over powering. The gel lathers up nicely, so not too much is needed during the use.
I was slight worried as gel cleansers can be drying at times, especially around the nose. But iv had no issues since using this. As said above it’s quite a light weight gel and not to harsh on the skin, so no burning or stinging on any imperfections.
It’s a great cleanser and I have notice a change over the last few weeks, I have even been using this more than my glow recipe gel cleanser as it seems a lot gentle on my face. Worth the buy x
The smell of this cleanser is frankly way too strong (although I am very sensitive to smells so YMMV). To me it has a strong chemical smell with hints of pineapple. However it does work well as a cleanser and removes makeup with no issue. It also had no adverse effect on my sensitive skin, though I would refrain from using it more than once a day at most. I don't know how effective the vitamin C and pineapple extract would be in a cleanser since it only contacts the skin for a minute or so before being washed away, but they are still nice additions. Overall I would recommend if strong smells aren't an issue
Tips: Avoid if sensitive to strong smells
I really enjoyed this cleanser! I used this every night as well as the serum in the morning. It has a scent but not as overpowering as the serum. However I still did not like the fragrance and I usually try and stay away from fragrance in my skin care products. Lathers up nicely and wasn't drying at all. I felt that this did help brighten up my skin and help with my redness. I have noticed the last couple of weeks that my redness has gone when using these two products.
Tips: Might not be great for people with sensitive to skin due to the fragrance
I'm still trying to finish it so I don't waste it, but my goodness it smells bad. Reminds me of the smell that hospitals have. I prefer the melon one but I won't be buying this one again for sure.
Tips: Could anyone please email me (I don't check this often) with where I could find the Garnier Organic Lemongrass Detox Cleanser Gel. Its the only face wash I've really really liked over the last couple of years. Thanks heaps!
I was on a trial team for some of the Garnier Green Labs products last year, found them great, and was keen to try more. I saw this on sale at Pak n Save, and thought it would be good to try.
It cleans very well, without being drying, and smells nice too. I'm not sure that I would say it's brightening, because although it contains Vitamin C, it doesn't stay on the skin for very long before being washed off. But it is really nice, affordable cleanser.
I have been using this product for Just under a week now and overall it’s a really nice cleaner to use. However, after only a week I have not noticed any change to my skin. My skin does appear to be brighter or less dull. So I will need to continue to use this product to see if I can see long term results.
My skin: I have combination oily skin, with redness and acne scars that I would like to brighten and reduce the appearance of. I was excited to try these products as they contain vitamin c which is good for brightening pigmentation.
Cleanser: this cleanser was a gel texture, on the thinner side. I could definitely smell the pineapple in this product. The product foams up well and feels quite gentle on your skin. The bottle was easy to squeeze and get the desired amount of product out. I also have sensitive skin and found tim his to be quite gentle. It didn’t leave my skin feeling right afterwards. My skin felt soft and smooth afterwards, similar feeling to my normal cream cleanser. However as mentioned I have not noticed a difference to the appearance in my skin yet.
I also like that is product is really affordable. It’s also vegan!
I will continue to use this product to see if my skin brightens over time
