When I first got this product I was under the impression it was a vit C serum, so when it arrived and I saw it was a moisturiser with vitamin C and SPF, I was excited! I very much like the ‘lazy girl’ morning routine style and so any product that ticks more than one box is already a win in my books. I have a normal skin type and don’t wear makeup, and this product did a really nice job of giving my skin a bit of a glow boost along with being hydrating. The scent is minimal which is nice, and it isn’t thick or tacky on the skin at all. There is no white cast from the SPF. I found one pump of the product was more than enough to cover my face and neck generously. Before I started using this alongside the Pinea-C cleanser, I did notice my skin was getting slightly congested. Nothing major, it just caused a little bit of texture across my forehead that I don’t normally have. However, this seemed to reduce when I paired it with the gel cleanser, so it didn’t worry me. Overall I really enjoy this product and am really impressed with the fact it hits the mark on all 3 of its claims (brightening, hydrating and SPF). A great product to add into your routine!

Tips: Less is more - I found applying a bit too much of this product caused some pilling.
The packaging is simple, a basic pump that dispenses the perfect application amount. It’s small nice size bottle that doesn’t take up much space or shout “look at me!” on my vanity; perfect. The product itself is a lovely lightweight cream, it absorbs beautifully into my skin without feeling greasy or leaving a cast of any sort. I’m not huge on the scent, it’s kind of artificial and chemical smelling, thankfully it dissipates fairly quickly once applied. Does it brighten? Honestly I haven’t noticed a difference though that could be because I haven’t used the product long enough to really see the brightening results. The SPF is a nice touch, I aim for somewhere between SPF30-50 so 15 is a little on the low side. I have continued to use a separate sunscreen so I can’t really speak to the effectiveness of the SPF aspect. I think this would be a pretty good product for someone who doesn’t have super sensitive skin or issues with scented products and is after a simple all in one morning product.
Tips: Even if you think you do a good job of avoiding getting product on your lips WIPE THEM. This stuff tastes bitter and the taste sticks for a while.
I used this the way they suggest (in place of my regular serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen) AND applied two pumps and this blended in with no white cast visible. It was also super moisturizing but made my skin look and feel greasy. It initially had a nice finish. I also like how the pump locks. As for the fragrance. It’s vaguely pineapple but it smells like cheap sunscreen and is really strong, to the point where it lingers and I can taste it. It smells like really powdery perfume; not like pineapple at all, in my opinion. The other thing worth noting is that it takes a lot of rubbing in to get it to blend into the skin. Overall, this is something Ill continue to use on days where I need to rush out the door and dont have time for a separate serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen, but I wont be repurchasing because of the strength of the smell
Tips: Use a small amount then apply a second layer after a few minutes to get full protection.
I've been using this SPF moisturiser for about 2 and a half weeks now. When I first tested the moisturiser on the back of my hand I found that the SPF smell really stayed on the skin, and I couldn't smell the pineapple. Upon applying it to the face I was pleasantly surprised. The sunscreen smell didn't really bother me after I applied my foundation, and I could actually smell the pineapple. The product did leave a slight white cast, as do a-lot of other SPF products. There was nothing out of the ordinary around the "24 hour" moisture claim, my face wasn't more or less moisturised than normal. The product sat fairly well underneath my make up. I have not noticed any "brightening effects" as of yet, but I probably need to use it for 2-3 months before i see those results. Overall, decently good product. I would probably take this product away with me as i really enjoy the lockable pump, great feature!
This was such a unique product. A serum, cream and sunscreen all in one go!
The serum doesn’t feel like a sunscreen at all! As in it doesn’t make my face greasy which is amazing! This definitely let me skip steps in my routine which was a bonus as I would never put sunscreen or a serum on. This all in one feature definitely is for lazy people like me. I did notice my skin looking fresher and more healthy looking. But didn’t notice any scars fading yet, but I expect that will take time! The cream/serum absorbed well into the skin but did need to rubbed in a bit to get rid of the white sunscreen streaks as I’m tanned skinned.
I have sensitive skin and haven’t had any break outs from this or allergic reactions so it’s definitely safe for people like me! It’s really hard to find a product that actually doesn’t cause harm to sensitive skin.
This does have a very strong pineapple strength for me but definitely doesn’t deter me from it! The packaging is a cute smaller bottle in a large rectangle Box - definitely could cut down on the outer packaging but just me being picky. The bottle is easy to grip and has a great pump which means you don’t have too much cream coming out!
Firstly the idea of having a serum, moisturiser AND sunscreen all in one is amazing! I always try to have in my routine the three but to have to put 3 different products on one after each other becomes a bit of a drag especially when you are pressed for time so usually the serum will drop off when I'm in a rush so the fact this product does all 3 has been a huge bonus in my routine. The Garnier Green Labs Pinea-C Serum Cream SPF15 has a pleasant pineapple/tropical smell and a nice light creaminess that doesn't feel too thick or heavy (which is refreshing since most sunscreen products can feel heavy) which makes it easy to go on and not feel like it weighs you down, it has made mornings so much easier. I haven't seen any major difference to my skin as of yet but these things usually take a month or 2 so will see how I go.
Tips: Put on in the morning and let settle for 5 mins before applying makeup
This product comes in a mint green bottle with a white pump lid which you can twist left or right to open and close the product. Gariner claims this product is a serum, a cream, and a sunscreen in an all in one lightweight product. I wasn’t too sure when I read this. It sounded too good to be true. However I was happily surprised. I found this serum to be very lightweight, I thought since it contains sunscreen I would be heavy and sticky but this isn’t the case. It also doesn’t have that common sunscreen smell. I couldn’t smell any pineapple either. I’m not sure if it’s helped brightened my skin during the last 1-2 weeks. So I think more time is needed to see if this is a fair claim. But I have got lots of compliments about my skin so I think this serum is doing something right! I found a little bit of product goes a long way which helps make this serum value of money.
Tips: A small amount of product goes a long way. Wash your hands after using this as it contains sunblock, it will sting your eyes!
A little goes a long way with this product. I like the easy to use pump style. The bottle looks nice and it smells quite fresh. I made the mistake of rubbing my eyes before washing my hands so got the classic sunscreen in eyes feeling. It absorbs quickly and doesn't feel too heavy on the skin. I used it as a make up base on one of the days and didn't notice anything in terms of separating the foundation or the likes which is good. I noticed some evening out of my skintone but definitely noticed it appeared brighter after application.
I was intrigued to try this product, as I have never seen a serum, moisturiser and sunscreen all in one before! I was keen to see how it went with my skin type (dry, sensitive, and I have some uneven skin tone) and how it would go over consecutive days.
I love the packaging- how it’s made from 100% recycled materials! It’s also great to see the environmental initiative of this range. The colour scheme is green and white, and I liked that it looked bright and clean. It’s a pump style bottle, it also twists and locks so would be really easy to travel with. The pump itself was easy to use (not stiff!) and easy to control the amount of product that came out. I found 1 pump was good for me.
The consistency was a thicker, creamy type texture, more similar to sunscreen. It smelt sweet (sort of like pineapple, as it has the pineapple ingredients in it) and also like the typical sunscreen smell. I didn’t mind the smell, however I didn’t think it was a ‘nice’ smell. It was easy to spread over my face, however it felt like it didn’t fully absorb- it left a bit of a tacky or slippery film, very similar to some sunscreens. Throughout the day, I could feel it on my face.
I do have sensitive skin- and I was really pleased that this did not cause any irritation at all! It claims to be good with sensitive skin, and for my skin it was fine. I also have dry skin - as this is a 3 in 1 product, I wasn’t sure whether this would have enough moisture for me. I didn’t use any of my normal skin care, only some facial spray underneath when using this product. My skin didn’t feel too dry throughout the day, and I didn’t notice any dry patches. However, after using this for consecutive days, I did find that I had more breakouts (chin and forehead area) and also that my skin felt tighter and drier in the evenings after the cleanser. I don’t think this product had enough moisture for me due to this increased dryness in the evenings. I used my normal skincare in the evenings, as this has SPF.
Overall, this product is not for me, as it didn’t provide enough moisture for my skin type. It claims to have 24hr moisture, however not enough for my skin and also cussed some breakouts. Perhaps a skin type that’s more combination or oily, it would work better. It was fine with my sensitive skin though, which was awesome! I unfortunately didn’t notice any difference in the brightness of my skin since using this product.
Tips: Worked great with my sensitive skin, however not suited for a drier skin type!
When a product is promising that it has combined multiple products and benefits into one product - then I am intrigued! I love efficient and effective beauty products.
First off, the packaging - nice sage green is combined with white in a compact 72ml bottle. There is a pump lid which is super handy with managing how much product you are using. This can be twisted slightly to the side to 'lock' the pump, which makes it safer for transporting as there is no actual lid for the pump dispenser.
The consistency of the serum cream is relatively thick, and very white with a lovely fresh scent. I am a big fan of the scent of this product, it smells like pineapple and lemongrass, and leaves me feeling energised. The product tends to soak into my skin pretty quickly, so I feel as though I need to use 2 pumps to cover my face and neck effectively. It does feel like it has a thicker consistency, which I think may be influenced by the SPF factor (as it feels like its on the verge of being a lightweight sunscreen).
This product states that it offers broad range SPF 15 protection. I have relied on this solely a couple of times and have found it to be effective in keeping my face protected from the midday sun. Overall it is quite moisturising, leaving my face plump and hydrated for the day, but I am not sure how much 'brighter' it has made my skin.
I would definitely recommend the Garnier Brightening Serum Cream if you are short on time and want to combine a few beauty steps into one.
