Garnier Green Labs Pinea-C Serum Cream SPF15

I was excited to try this as liked the look of the ingredients and I could definately use some brightening! Packaging is great but I definitely noticed the fragrance as soon as I put some in my hand. Very sweet and I did not enjoy the scent at all. The consistency of the product is a cream so feels more like a lightweight moisturizer than a serum. I added this in to my usual routine just before my moisturizer. I love that it has spf in it!! It sinks into the skin nicely and I found it went under my makeup beautifully. Also paired nicely with my other products. After a week I feel like I noticed a difference and my skin is more even tone with alot less redness! I just wish it didn't have the fragrance but it is a nice serum.

I was pleasantly surprised by this serum. I love the simplicity of the packaging but I love that the serum is so full of goodness and is multi purpose. This is a brightening serum that also provides 24 hour moisture as well as containing SPF15. This serum is also vegan which is a big must for me, and the packaging gives great insight into the steps the company is making to be eco friendly. The product itself smells lovely, it has a nice fruity/citrus smell that's not over powering and does fade after about half an hour. It's a lovely light creamy texture that is easy to apply, I would recommend using a very small amount to begin with as it is so easy to apply I was continually putting too much product on my face, that's not exactly a bad thing as my skin is as dry as the Sahara, but it is definitely wasteful. After applying this the first time, my skin was immediately softer to the touch and felt energized and refreshed. It definitely helped me wake up for the day as well. My skin was still refreshed and soft after 24 hours as well so those claims are certainly correct. I have to say I didn't notice any brightening to my skin but I have only been using it for not quite a week so I'm hopeful I will notice a change shortly, the packaging does say that skin tone appears brighter within a week. I will say that even though this product does contain SPF, I still applied extra SPF over top as unfortunately SPF 15 just isn't enough to protect against New Zealands rays but I think it's a great idea that they have incorporated it so if you're in a hurry you can have a little bit of protection against the UV.

Multitasking products kind of set themselves up to fail I think - running the risk of being a Jack of All Trades, Master of None.

The Garnier 3-in-1 serum-cream was actually a pleasant surprise, especially as a serum/cream. It definitely does the job of both products really well. This is a brightening formula and skin definitely has a dewy radiance after use.

It's really light and easily absorbed - it does leave skin instantly smooth and hydrated. It's hard to stop touching it, it be soooo soft!

As an SPF I question it a little - SPF 15 is ok for an NZ winter, maybe, but I think it's a stretch to imply it's a 3-in-1 product, ie this will meet all of your sunscreen needs. It won't.

This is a great product for those who can't be bothered with a lengthy skincare routine and especially those just starting out in the skincare world.

Would I use it again? Yeap as a hydrator - not as a sunscreen.

First up - what gives with the name Garnier? At first I thought 'ooo Pinea-C' it must be a new type of vitamin c, like when all of those Lypo-C supplements came on the market a few years ago. So I was pronouncing it 'pin-ya-c'. Then I realised the Pinea was the first part of 'pineapple' and now I don't know what the intention with the name is. Pine-a-c? Pin-ee-aa-c? Is there an intentional pun I'm missing?! And so I repeat...what gives Garnier?!

I love the packaging - Garnier have nailed it with the Green Labs range, it's cute, it's neutral, it screams mature-young-adult. I really appreciate it.

The pump bottle is sturdy and secure and dispenses a good amount of product.

I love the texture of this cream, I thought it might be a bit oily, but it's more like a lotion, its very easy to rub in and non-greasy to the touch.

It does what you'd want a daily lotion to do, it moisturises, gets rid of dry patches and leaves skin looking fresh. I was worried the SPF would leave my skin a bit shiny, but it doesnt

I ended up loving this a lot more than I thought I would.

I was genuinely impressed by this moisturiser.

Again, super glad that Garnier is cruelty free. That is a deal breaker for me.

I’m also really happy that this product has SPF. I’ve been finding it hard to find a good SPF daily moisturiser. I’d kind of resigned to the fact that I might just need to apply moisturiser separately, but not with this product!

The packaging is my preferred packaging for moisturiser. It’s a little pump bottle, so you can easily get product out while keeping the packaging clean. Two pumps of product was perfect for my face.

The product itself is good. It feels a bit more ‘silky’ than other moisturisers I’ve tried, which I guess is where the serum aspect comes in. The moisturiser is lightweight, and it didn’t make my skin greasy. It also works well beneath makeup. It didn’t make my makeup slide around or separate or anything like that.

I would have to agree that it made my skin more bright and glowing which I’m really stoked with. I will continue use this product and would definitely consider buying again. I think this retails for around $20, which is really good value for money.

I have used lots of serum and never used or seen a serum cream before. The packaging is like most serums in a smaller bottles with a pump. The pump is easy to use and the serum goes a long way, so make sure you don’t pump too much.

As this is a cream the texture is different to offer serums. It also has SPF so when applying it does look like sunblock, although not as thick and more easier to rub in. It works great on the skin and soaks in nicely. It has a slight scent of pineapple and is not too over powering.

The serum is hydrating and has kept my skin feeling soft and more lively. It’s great for anyone who has imperfections as it doesn’t sting and doesn’t seem to aggravate them any more. A great buy

This has changed my skin so much! I have been going through a lot of different products to try clear up small breakouts, after a bout a week it has cleared up my skin and has given it a brightening effect. I will 100% be repurchasing this. It goes on so well under makeup aswell providing a flawless base. The pineapple scent is so refreshing and one of my favourite smells!

This completely exceeded my expectations! Let me start by saying my skin has a mind of its own - some days it is really sensitive, others dry, others completely normal. And because of this, I really haven't had much luck with your more mainstream, supermarket-stocked brands. So I was intrigued to be sent this to see how it went.

And I love it!

The big wins for me: 1. Sunscreen! I try to wear it everyday, but lets face it - most mornings I am in a hurry and just forget. This chucks everything I need in one product. Of course, I wouldn't rely solely on this for a day at the beach - it is a low SPF by NZ standards. But for everyday, it is a total win.

2. Didn't irritate my skin or leave it greasy as some SPF products do. This made it suitable for non-makeup and makeup days.

3. Smells refreshing and summery without being over powering.

4. The packaging - A small pump bottle is perfect convenience-wise. Non-messy, fits easily on the shelf, and actually looks and feels quite premium (matte-ish texture, not overly branded).

The downsides: 1. Honestly, none really come to mind that are deal breakers - I would love a higher SPF - especially for this NZ sun. That would be my only wish-list product!

Overall, definitely recommend a try!
