Personally I just couldn’t get on with this product. It is a super sensitive cleanser and I really missed the foaming action that I get with my regular product. I think I might have had it ingrained into me that foam = clean, even after double cleansing I just wasn’t convinced that all of my make up had come off. I think this would probably be really lovely for people with sensitive skin, it’s totally fragrance free, lightweight and really calming on the skin. It doesn’t market itself as removing make up and I definitely found it struggled to remove mascara, so I would definitely use this as my second cleanse step. Really liked the green beauty messaging on the bottle, the bottle is plastic but can be recycled, and there was no excess packaging to dispose of.

Tips: Use as second step in your cleansing routine.
So I love the fresh look this Garnier Green range has to offer. The bottle itself of this cream cleanser is really well designed and easy to dispense. However the instructions were a lot lacking. This is no mention of how much to use or how often. So I just went with what it took to cover my face. I have never used a cream cleanser before so it felt very different not being able to have that “lather” feeling but I kept using it anyway. It did not feel very clean and I found my skin to be super greasy by the morning. I gave it another couple of days before I decided to use my makeup remover after using this cleanser… unfortunately there was still loads of makeup still coming off my skin- despite claims on the packaging of “removes oil, dirt and makeup”. I don’t wear a lot of makeup at the moment so it was obvious it was not removing much at all. I haven’t noticed a great difference in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles as this product also claims. I don’t feel like this is a good product for my skin type, I have combination skin.
I got this from the beauty vault. I ran out of cleanser and needed a new one. Do why not give this one a try. There’s a few things I look for in a cleanser mainly consistency, good pricing and results.
Packaging comes in a pump bottle. Easy to read labeling. The consistency of this cleanser is a cream. Feels like a moisturizer more than a cleanser as such. There’s no scent at all . I like to dampen my skin with water beforehand. I put a 20 piece coin sized amount of cream on my face. No lathering effect of foam. Afterwards my skin feels like it just had a cream being put on.
Honestly can’t say I’d reccomend this product. It wasn’t for me. Did nothing for my skin. Definitely wouldn’t go out to purchase it. I am thankful that I gave it a good try.
At first glance, the top of the pump bottle was crooked, maybe it was damaged in transit, or, not made very well in the first place? Either way, the pump worked ok but if I had to pay for it I wouldn't be happy with it. I notice that the bottle is made from recycled material which is great to see. The formula has a very light "green" scent, hard to place my finger on what it smells like but it's very faint so probably would be ok for most people. The formula is quite thick and I used quite a few pumps to have it clean my entire face. I like to leave cleansers on my face for a few minutes to get all the benefits. My skin felt a little tingly so this makes me wonder if it would be any good for people with sensitive skin (I don't have sensitive skin). It's not great at removing makeup, I had to combine other cleansers to wash off my full face. Overall I don't think I'd purchase this as I didn't see any benefits during the time I trialed this product, the only positive is that it didn't make my skin feel stripped dry. I would say that it's a good cleanser for people who do not wear make up, or very little.
I didnt hate this cleanser it just wasnt right for me . Due to using a colour stay foundation daily i found this cleanser did not take my makeup off at all . It was lovely and gentle on my face and left my skin super soft.
Tips: Cleanse face with other makeup remover prior
I enjoyed the smell and texture of this product, but sadly not too much else beyond what you would expect of any standard cleanser. I found I had to wipe it off with a cloth otherwise it felt like it lingered on my skin. My skin felt clean and soft afterwards, but not soft enough for me to notice a difference from anything else I’ve used. I don’t know if I’ll repurchase but I’m happy with it for now.
I’m really starting to like Garniers green range. Firstly the cream cleanser comes in an easy to use pump bottle which is environmentally friendly. All you need is about 3 pumps to cleanse the face and neck which goes on well and is easy to wash off. It did not leave any sort of greasy residue and my skin felt pretty nice to touch. I didn’t find that it left any sort of fragrance. Overall a Nice cleanser that works well without stripping the skin. Works well for my dry and sensitive skin.
Tips: Not really a makeup remove so do remove makeup before using this cream cleanser.
A good size bottle with a good pump. Nice enough smell. Don't need to use too much of this product. Took off makeup and cleansed/cleaned the skin as expected. Skin tingled to start with due to being new to retinol, and had to be careful around my eyes as felt like the skin on my cheekbone was tender. I persevered and while it's a nice cleanser that removes makeup, how my skin felt means it just wasn't for me which is why it's scored down.
Tips: Remember with retinol to wear suncream daily.
I would say this cleanser is very gentle as they advertise which is fantastic. I can have quite sensitive skin at times and this didn't bring out any reaction in me which was fantastic. However, I work quite a dirty, outside job and I didn't think that it was a deep enough clean for me, while my face felt clean after washing with this in the morning, in the evening I didn't feel like it was quite enough to get all the dirt off. This could be great if you were to double cleanse and use this as the first cleanser, or just as a morning cleanser.
“I’m not sure how this is a cleanser?” Is my final review of this product. Used 7-10x to double check I was doing it right and not from lack of use on my end. Each time I needed to use another face wash cleanser to VISIBLY remove crap from my face. After about 4/5x of usage I started to react to the product around my eyes…which could just be my semi-sensitive-but-not-really skin. After stopping usage it took 2 days for eczema looking rings to disappear from around my eye sockets LOL!! 1) Unsure of the point of this product 2) Does not remove any trace of makeup or buildup 3) Stings, seemed solely due to product usage. 4) Need to double up with another cleanser in order to feel cleansed.
Tips: Just buy a cetaphil milk cleanser from Chemist Warehouse for same price and it’ll do.
