I was excited to be picked to review this as I haven’t been doing any skincare lately and wanted to get back into it. The “super soothing” branding also appealed as I do have sensitive skin.
I really enjoyed the packaging of this in the glass bottle. It feels quite sophisticated for the affordable brand of Garnier. The pump works well and I really appreciate not having to stick your fingers into the product. Maybe that is the new world we are in and feeling aware of germs more.
The serum cream is very light feeling and lovely on the skin. I did find it quite tacky on the skin rather than completely sinking in. I liked the instructions on the box of using it initially every other night then nightly once your skin has adjusted due to the retinol in the product. I didn’t find my skin reacted to it at all which is good. I haven’t noticed any good effects of it either to be honest - but I am enjoying using it so I will keep at it.
I really like the way it is marketed as three in one (night cream, serum, and eye cream). Usually I would find that annoying that most products you can do that with. But these days when companies are trying to convince you that you need twenty different things I actually appreciate them being honest that you only need this.
Although I haven’t noticed any major changes in my skin I am enjoying using it. I will update if I see any other changes.
I don't think I have ever used a retinol skin product so I was interested in trying this. I read the instructions and made sure to use it bi-daily for the first week. I only used this throughout my night time skin routine which worked great. You don't need much of this product (I used two pumps each time) and the bottom is still super full! The smell is pleasant, the texture is lightly thick which is nice and it absorbs into the skin nicely!
Tips: Follow the instructions and use bi-daily to beginning with. Ensure that you use SPF during the day when using this product :)
