After using the berry cleanser - this was fun to use! It is apparently a 3 in 1 product (who knows if that’s legit) boasting to be an all over serum, eye and night+ retinol cream all in one product. Here’s the catch: I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how much retinol is in this product. It is probably super important to include this detail due to the impact retinol can have on skin appearance if not gradually built up! Could potentially mean less sales for this product. It claims to be great for first time retinol users so I’m guessing the content is minimal? Garnier also boasts to see decrease in fine lines, eye bags etc over 1 week. Ya girl is over here still holding her gucci bags and sporting fine lines. I have been watching them meticulously due to this claim! Either way… I’d buy this product again but it’s not a life or death holy grail discovery. It really seems like just another brand is jumping on the retinol/ hyaluronic skincare bandwagon due to the cultural shift towards skin over makeup.

Reviews
Tips: Farmers, The Ordinary $12 retinol works better & is cheaper. I have enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy, using this product as a night cream. But too oily/ heavy for a morning application! For the price? Could find something better but can see this becoming a lazy girls staple.
Really wasn’t sure what to expect with this product with it being a 3 in 1 but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it might have been really heavy feeling on the skin with it being a moisturiser AND a night cream but it really wasn’t, it was super lightweight and absorbed into my skin really quickly. I definitely woke up with a brighter complexion. I went a little too hard at the beginning (not following instructions and skipping the ‘every other night’ advice on the box) so will definitely be trialling it a little longer to see if it smooths out my fine lines. At this stage, of 10 days use I would say that I have noticed a whole lot of difference just yet. I did find that it left a slight sticky residue on my face (and hands after applying) but nothing I couldn’t live with. From the packaging you can see that Garnier have stated that they will be taking a commitment towards greener beauty which is a big tick from me. The packaging is simple yet eye catching and really informative. I really liked that the bottle was glass and can hopefully be recycled.
Tips: Definitely follow the instructions for every other night during the first week, it really packs a punch!
I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now. The first week I used it every night and although my skin has used retinol regularly, I found my skin dried out quite remarkably. I would recommend using it maybe every second day or just 3 times a week to avoid your skin becoming very dry. Otherwise it did reduce the darkness I sometimes get under my eyes and it was a nice product to use, not at all greasy or heavy when you apply it. It did not sting like some other retinal products can and has no overpowering smell.
Tips: Use only 3 times a week. First time users should use only twice a week.
I was excited to try out this 3 in 1 serum, cream & eye cream. The consistency is more of a thin lotion and I found it very easy to apply and spread over my skin. Product is very lightweight and absorbs quickly and fully into the skin. I feel this is a good product for someone to introduce retinol in their skin care. Personally I’ll stick to my usual eye cream as I found this to irritate my eyes but ever so slightly and I so have extremely sensitive skin around my eyes so that could be a good reason for that. There was very mild tingling which is what you would expect from products that has retinol. In terms of reducing fine lines, I don’t think I can really say much about this as 2 weeks of usage is not enough time to make a fair judgment on that. A couple of more weeks of usage wil be needs to say anything about reducing fine lines. Overall an alright product and good way to start using retinol if just staring out.
Tips: Ease your way with the product and use every second day to begin with to let your skin adjust to incorporating retinol in your skin care.
I think I was expecting more from this product given its strong claims for noticeably reducing fine lines in one week. It definitely hasn't had any effect on my fine wrinkles yet, maybe with more use it will but it did not live up to that claim. It also hasn't left my skin feeling moisturised as its 24 hour moisture claim would suggest and I have ended up using a night moisturiser after it.
