Loved this product, it was exactly as described. I was sceptical about how it would work but it frothed up and I loved the way it did. The smell was absolutely divine and I would recommend it for people to try. My hair definitely felt amazing after I used it.

Tips: Find a plastic container to leave in shower to keep it in
I was very interested to see if this product actually works – reducing plastic waste would be fantastic. I tried the watermelon one for volumizing fine hair and I thought the watermelon smell was quite pleasant. I haven’t used watermelon smelling products, but while different it didn’t smell more or less strong than other shampoos I have used in the past. You apply the shampoo bar to wet hair running it down from the roots. The first time I used it I pressed it pretty firmly, but you don’t really need to, you would apply the same amount of pressure as you would with any other kind of soap. As you massage it as you usually would shampoo, it is then like any other shampoo and morphs into more of a liquid as it foams up and you don’t need much to get the job done. The packaging says it would last up to 2 bottles and I believe that it would. I haven’t really noticed any additional volume, but it’s possible it takes a few more washes to work. I have fine, straight hair and while it didn’t add a lot of volume as yet, it didn’t have any negative impact like make it lanker. I will continue to use it, and I think it would be great for travelling since a soap bar is way less space than a bottle.
Tips: Great for travelling!
I will start with the smell. It is amazing! You want to eat it. First off I was surprised at how sudsy it is. It is more bubbly than regular shampoo. It is a surprise that they claim it can equate to a 500ml bottle of shampoo. Really not sure how they could measure that…? But it’s a nice theory. I like that it is literally applied to the roots as hairdressers tell us shampoo should be. It also claims to be fast rinse formula, and I agree.
Being on this trial, and obviously needing to do adequate testing, I did wash my hair every 2 days. It didn’t bother me too much as this product implies that it is “good” for hair. It didn’t feel like it was stripping my hair too much, even though I did 2 round of shampoo bar washing.
because of the price, I wouldn’t use this product on my self again. I did use it on my son as hoped it might not sting his eyes when I wash it out. But the jury is still out on that one.
I liked the presentation of the bar , it came in a cardboard box , with all the instructions for use printed on it , so very sustainably marketed. I received the watermelon bar suitable for fine hair which says it adds volume without weighing it down , and after using the product for a week I feel that was accurate . I found it foamed easily and washed out well .
Tips: It is recommended to store the bar in a dry place and I did that between use , I will be interested to see if it does last as long as 2 bottles of liquid shampoo as started on the pack
Arriving in a recyclable cardboard packet, allowing for proper disposal, and no plastic waste means this cute shaped ball of hardness packs a mean punch, Right from its scent of watermelon, easy to hold slice running it Down your hair is a breeze. This bar lathers nicely giving that foamy texture we all love, the sweet scent of watermelon makes you feel your in foodie paradise. After rinsing off it does mean you r hair does feel a tad dry, a little bit frizzed from the rubbing down motion, but you’ll be wishing you had a conditioner nearby to finish off the job, lasting for a good couple of day ms in between washing, means that this little gem will hang around a little longer then normal shampoos and it takes up so little space, from the packaging to the product this is one little slice you’ll want to try.
Tips: Dry between uses find a cool spot to let it be free, and condition afterwards
Using this with my regular conditioner has been great. My hair tends to get oily at the roots quickly, but dry ends. I've used other shampoo bars and felt that they didn't work well, this one lathers nicely which others claim don't need to do. Maybe that's just a mind thing, but I feel I need a bit of lather for it to clean.
My hair felt clean without that squeaky stripped feeling, and I could run my fingers through it easily. It felt nice when my hair was dry, I didn't notice a big volume difference, but I have a lot of fine hair so it didn't make it frizzy either.
I like being able to smell the fragrance lightly in my hair.
While it was a good experience, I'm still not sure if I am sold on solid shampoo, it just feels like a bit of extra effort...I know that's probably terrible.
Tips: There are cute biodegradable shower caddies you can get for shampoo bars.
First, I love how compact and easy to store this magical bar of delight!
This is the first shampoo bar I've used. The watermelon scent reminded me of summer, think watermelon sorbet, yum!
I didn't notice too much difference to my hair, plus good things take time so I'm looking forward to seeing the effects as I continue to use this little bar of goodness.
Super easy to use, it's hand sized so your not knocking yourself in the face with a cake of soap...just me?
I'm definitely going to try some different flavors in the future too.
Tips: Keep your eyes shut when shampooing.
This shampoo bar really surprised me. I had never used one before & I really liked it. Left my hair clean but not stripped out like alot of volume shampoos do. Hair was shiny, bouncy, full of body & blow waved great. Not really a watermelon fragrance fan but smell was fine not over powering. Price wise the bar equals 1 litre of liquid shampoo & retailing at $10 its very economical. Love that it's vegan, has zero plastic & no artificial additives. I paired with the matching watermelon Hair Food mask & they compliment each other really well.
Tips: If I continued using shampoo bars I would invest in a bar holder as I did find it quite soft & a little messy if just place on a surface. Keeping it dry after use will keep it longer.
This trial team has been a revelation. I hadn't seriously considered switching to solid hair care - mostly because it just seems like it would be so drying on your hair.
It's much like using a bar of soap. I prefered the lather this in my hands and use those to agitate the product through my hair. It foams surprisingly well.
Thankfully it is nothing like a bar of soap in terms of results. My hair felt clean and refreshed, but not squeaky clean. It was soft and manageable but not fluffy.
I followed with the Watermelon Hair food and was impressed with the combined results.
I love that this will last the equivalent of 2 x 250ml bottles. For me one bar should be around 4 months worth of shampoo, if not more!
Tips: Invest in a holder, or case, especially if you want to keep it in the shower.
I wasn’t convinced that I could wash my hair successfully with a soap bar.... you can!
I have long fine hair, in the shower I would wet my hair and the soap bar, I’d lather the soap bar a little bit and then run my hands and the soap through my hair, from the scalp down.
To my surprise, the soap lathered up heaps and very easily.
I washed my hair as usual and rinsed.
I believe my hair washed very well and felt great (better than some of the traditional shampoos)
I’m not convinced that I would have guessed the aroma was watermelon if I hadn’t read the label - though the aroma was fine (not over powering).
My only issue is our shower isn’t really made for two soap dishes!
