Garnier Hyaluronic Acid Firming Ampoule Face Sheet Mask

I was lucky enough to receive this to trial

I am oily, dehydrated skin that is breakout and acne prone. I do want my dewy skin and like it to be plump and firm. I found that this sheet mask doesn’t have much essence which is both good and bad. It’s good because I don’t drip and make a mess everywhere but I don’t think it’s got enough moisturisation.

It smells fragranced, probably the watermelon. I can’t attest to whether it improved the fine lines but it did only a modest job at moisturising and I think I’d want more from a sheet mask.

Really enjoyed this face mask. It gave my skin a nice glow for a few hours afterwards. Like most of these masks, I wasn't completely sure on the long term benefits which could be expected, and I can't say I noticed anything particularly mind blowing BUT using the mask was simple and felt love while it was on. I rubbed the remaining serum into my face afterwards, and it was lovely and cooling. My face felt soft and moisturised afterwards.

Enjoyed this masked, skin felt plump, fresh and more awake afterwards, I preferred this more than the other garner mask I trialled. perfect amount of product, easy to use and store - Love that its vegan as well! would make a great gift or easy to keep in your bag for on - the - go skincare.

First impression package was simple and very similar to most sheet masks I've tried, nothing seemed "new" look. It was clear and easy to read what it was for and the directions very simple, apply, wait 5mins and remove.

I found it very wet with product which made it nice to unpeel and apply the mask. It fit perfectly on my face without too much extra sheet or too little which is nice as some i have tried in the oast were very ill fitting.

The scent was nice and fresh smelling and not overpowering which is great since its directly under your nose.

I found it instantly cooling and soothing while on my face and was pleasabt to wear for the 5mins and easily removed. I massaged the remaining treatment still on my face and removed the excess with a cotton pad as instructed.

My face felt very nourished and plumped up. I also noticed my pores were less viable and the fine crows feet lines on my face.

All in all I think this a great addition to your routine and I would use it again on a pampering basis.

Unfortunately this product was not one for me. Maybe I'm not a face sheet mask person - I found the sheet mask awkward to get out of the packaging, quite hard to unfold to get the mask ready to apply, and really messy as there was soooo much thick gel like product on it. The mask however once applied was easy to stay put - and i must say it applied to the contour of my face well when it was in place with decent eye holes.

The mask did have a nice light scent to it, a nice fresh scent - which will be from the watermelon, it wasnt overpowering.

There was alot of product on the mask, it felt super dewy ad thick, so i thought it would leave my skin extremely hydrated (i applied it at night before bed), however when i removed the face mask i was left with alot of sticky residue, and my face was extremely sticky to touch, so i had to rinse my face. I was hoping to wake up with smooth soft and plump skin, but unfortunately i didn't notice any difference to my skin when i woke up, and it still had some dry patches.

On a good note though, this ,mask did not cause my skin to break out and it did not irritate my skin when it was applied, which is a plus!

I’m a fan of garnier products and enjoyed trying this product. As soon as you open it the smell hits your senses it was a sweet smell. The mask was very moist and easy to place and position to the contours of the face. Removing was easy but I did have to take the advice on the back and wipe off excess. It made my face feel firm and tight. I did feel my lines were less defined however they didn’t look different in the mirror. It gave me a glossy look which I wasn’t keen on but faded fast. I would use this again but only for occasions or events.

I was excited to try this face mask as I haven't tried many before, and never a sheet mask like this.

It comes in a nice small packet and easy to open. Faced my first problem when removing mask from pocket and trying to unfold the sheet. It was folded so many time and was so slimy it was hard to find the next layer to unfold.

I then placed it over my face. Overall it is a pretty decent size. However it kept sliding down my face. It has a nice subtle smell, not overpowering.

I followed the clear simple instructions and when it was time to remove it was easy to peel off. My face felt nice and plump.

The instructions were not to wash off but use a cotton pad or similar to remove excess. Then it says you can apply your make up. I followed these steps. Worst idea ever! The makeup wouldn't sit well on my face and even though I removed the excess the makeup seemed to clump little bits together. I would not put makeup on any after using this.

Overall it didn't seem to do to much except plump my skin for a short time. So not sure I'd be in a hurry to use this again.

As with all sheet masks, I kept this one in a fridge before using it as it feels so amazing when it’s chilled. I was really surprised by the way it felt, it wasn’t super messy to apply but I did notice that my skin was very soft and supple afterwards. As with all sheet masks, it was a bit messy getting it onto my face but overall I was pleasantly surprised and the price point won’t break the bank. Perfect for a girls night in!

Unfortunately, I don't have a great review on this product. It goes on well, just like any other mask. It mentions on the packet that the serum might be slightly sticky and to just wipe the excess off with a cotton pad after removal of the mask.

However, that was an understatement. My face was so incredibly sticky, that even after I wiped it off with a cotton pad, my skin felt horrible. I ended up having to wipe my face thoroughly with micellar water to try and get rid of the serum.

If I'd noticed great benefits from the mask, I would use it again, despite the stickiness, but unfortunately, I didn't see or feel a difference in term of smoothing or plumping my skin.

I really hate giving negative reviews, but I would definitely not buy this again and if someone asked for my opinion, I would tell them to try something else.

This mask really did make my skin feel different. It was so easy to use and left me with really soft skin and even felt a little tighter. Really do recommend using this and even with my sensitive skin there were no issues!
