I recently tried the new Garnier Hydra Bomb Tissue Mask and I was a little bit disappointed. The product was quite slimy in texture and felt cold and unpleasant on my skin. That said it was fine once it was on my face and it had started to absorb and warm up a bit. It was easy to apply but the eye holes required some adjustment to make them a little larger (I had to cut them). Once the 15 mins was up I followed the instructions and patted the remainder of the product in to my skin which was quite nice. The product absorbed quickly and didn't leave any greasy residue. The next day I did notice that some of my dry spots were improved and my skin felt normally hydrated all day. Whilst it did do what it said it would, the slimy texture is a little off-putting for me so I probably wouldn't use this on a regular basis.

Tips: This would feel amazing after a day in the sun where your skin could use a cooling blast and at that price, its affordable to have one on hand.
I'm still very new to sheet masks, so I was super excited to try this! Upon taking it out of the packaging, I could tell that there was a lot of product on the mask. After placing the mask on my face and adjusting accordingly, i proceeded to remove the protective layer. I found this extremely hard to do, as there was so much product, It was quite difficult to remove and peel off. I was able to loosen up the edges around the nose area but in order to remove the protective sheet, I ended up having to take the mask off and peel it off. This was very messy! Afterwards, my skin felt very soft and supple and felt very clean and refreshed.
Tips: Make sure you loosen up the edges of the protective layer sheet, before putting onto your face.
Disclaimer: I'm not usually a fan of sheet masks in the first place, as I find them annoying to use - the slide off, and I can't relax in the bath while drinking wine when I use them, unlike I do with other masks. However, I was willing to try and see if this one was an improvement in that regard. Sadly, it was not - still annoying to use for the above reasons. However! It DID give my skin a great moisture kick, and for the following days, my face did look and feel hydrated and glowing. It also seemed to calm the redness I can be prone to. So if you need a calming, moisture kick, and don't mind sheet masks, then this is definitely the mask for you.
Tips: You really do need to lie down with this, otherwise it slides off. I ended up getting out of the bath and lying on my bed and listening to an audio book.
I have never tried a Tissue Mask before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was easy enough to place on my face, and eyes, nose and mouth fitted into the slots provided. It felt cool and refreshing while on. It definitely felt like it was hydrating while I sat relaxing, waiting for the 15 minutes before I could take it off. Once off, I rubbed in excess and let dry. My face felt sticky for some time after, however once completely dried, the stickiness was gone. While it was a nice refreshing treatment, I don't think I'd use it again. It's not something I'd personally use often, nor did I enjoy the sticky feeling afterwards. I do have to say, my skin does feel nice and soft and moisturised since using this.
Tips: Be patience once you have removed the mask, and let it dry.
This is the first time I've tried a Garnier Mask & my first tissue mask. It was very easy to use & entertained my 4 year old immensely! He thought it would make a great Halloween mask. Garnier haven't skimped on product. There was definitely enough to provide plenty of coverage. I loved the cooling sensation & would definitely use this mask if my skin was inflammed & itchy. My skin did look & feel lovely for the next 24 hours but I felt it could have been more moisturising-which is why I've only given 3 stars. Someone with younger skin would probably experience the sense of 'intense hydration' more than I did. I would recommend this mask for anyone with sensitive skin though as it really does feel nice on. In fact I was a bit reluctant to remove it after the 15 minutes as it felt so good. The fragrance is soft & powdery, nothing offensive at all & the packaging was both appealing & easy to open. Overall not a bad product for the price.
Was a little difficult to get the blue layer off. The mask itself smelt nice. I found it an odd feeling to have on my face and wasn’t able to talk or move my facial muscles as well. The mask kept slipping down my forehead and lip so had to keep readjusting. It did make my skin feel very lovely and soft although I don’t think that lasted more than a day for me...
I have previously used one tissue mask before and I had such a great experience with it I was excited to trial this Garner Mask.
The mask comes in a foil type packet. It is easy to open and the instructions on the back are very clear and easy to follow but the easiness unfortunately stops there. The application was messy there was a lot of serum which made it hard to press the mask down smoothly onto my face. It also didn’t help that the mask was a bit big for my face so it ended up getting in my hair.
Initially I found the mask rather unpleasant as the serum or goo felt very cold and slimy and I needed to keeping pressing the mask down so I’m not sure if you would say that it was a relaxing experience. Once the 15minutes where up I felt like the mask hadn’t done it thing so I left it on another 10minutes. This extra time allowed the serum to absorb into my skin more. I was rather surprised I needed to leave it on longer as my skin is on the drier side. Once I removed the mask I follow the instructions and massage the rest of the serum into my skin but once it had dry I decided to wiped it off with a damp facecloth as it felt like I have residue left.
The results were more positive. I found the mask was very cooling and smoothing on my skin and my skin definitely felt more hydrated the next day.
The things I really like about this mask are: It is very suitable for sensitive skin there was no rashes, redness, tightness or stinging. It was quite hydrating and lasted at least a day and it is a reasonably price compared to some other tissue masks. Unfortunately I just feel that the application and fit of the mask lets it down and for this reason I would be unlikely to purchase this in the future.
Tips: Tie your hair up first!
Tissue face masks have quickly become one of the newer cult beauty trends so it's always good to see an affordable brand release a range of masks for those that don't want to shell out too much money but still be able to indulge.
The first thing that I noticed about the Garnier Tissue mask is the beautiful packaging and I'm a real sucker for packaging as a lot of people are!
The mask itself was actually one of the better fitting masks I've tried... I suppose it's impossible to get a mask that fits every face type but this one molded quite nicely to my face with just the eye holes being a little too close together.
I was really happy that this mask didn't have an offensive smell, it didn't smell too much like anything which I prefer, especially because I don't want highly fragranced products on my skin because that can't be good for it!
I noticeably relaxed while wearing this mask and actually found the 15 minute wait bearable, when usually I'm quite a 'busy' person. When I removed my mask, my only grievance (and I've had this issue with all ma9sks I've used) is there is so much residual product/moisture left over - I know this is a deeply hydrating and moisturizing mask so it's to be expected I suppose so I lightly massaged it into my skin and then patted my skin with a clean makeup pad to dry it off a little more.
I was impressed with this mask, my skin felt smoother, more hydrated and what surprised me was it felt firmer which I didn't expect! I would definitely agree that my skin felt more hydrated, firmer and softer for 24 hours as they state on the packaging.
This isn't a product I would rush to repurchase and use on a super regular basis but I enjoyed using it, I felt more relaxed afterwards and my skin thanked me for it so it would definitely be, say, a once a month indulgence - however, I would happily stock up with it retailing at that super affordable price!
Tips: Massage any residual moisture into your skin after removing the mask and if there is still too much for your liking left over, then dab off with a clean makeup pad/flannel but very gently as you don't want to remove all the goodness! Also, use it to your advantage and make sure you're in a quiet room, light a candle, read a book while you wait the 15 minutes and really enjoy how relaxing the process is!
This product arrived in a foil packet, easy to tear open, with a moisten tissue mask inside. Opening the product was fairly simple, removing the mask from packaging was a bit more messier than expected. After I cleansed my face, dried off, I then applied this mask, which is quite wet to apply, using its blue protective film to help smooth around. The eyes in this mask were not really symmetrical to my face, so had to tear additional sits into it, so I could see what I was doing. The nose and mouth parts were equally challenging and a lot bunched up more then I thought was needed. Nonetheless I applied mask and waited 15 minutes before removal, removal is easy with a gentle pull. The residue is suggested to rub in, or remove with a tissue, I removed it, but it did leave a tacky after feel. At this point here was no visible changes and I do note that it is advised that three treatments a week to obtain results is required. I left the residue on overnight and felt my skin the next morning, to my surprise my skin was a lot more plumped, smoother and hydrated, the redness was still seen. As I have a sensitive skin I did worry about leaving the product on, however this proved to be no issue and was well regarded by my skin. Would I try again? I think the facial design needs to be more customised, however the concept is good, a bit of modification from the customer end and I’ll be in!
Tips: Have some tissues ready to help take product off.
I was excited to try this mask - I've never tried a tissue mask before and I was super curious on two things.
1: The claustrophobia factor. The mask failed this one sadly. It's a thick tissue and is FULL of formula. Placing it on my face I struggled to line it up properly, but after removing the blue backing, it sat a little bit better. But not great. The combination of the cold formula, thick tissue and ill-fit made me feel really uncomfortable. It did sit on my face for the duration though, no peeling or slipping.
2. The sensitive test. One pet peeve with cosmetics is that producers often confuse sensitive with dry. My skin is not generally dry, but it is sensitive and red and itchy. I was super surprised that this passed the test. It didn't irritate my skin, and it didn't leave me looking like an oil slick. On removal there was a lot of formula left behind but it rubbed in nicely.
The skin verdict: meh. Yes my skin looked and felt nice about three hours later. It looked 'plump', and a little smoother and fresher. But the next morning, there was no real noticeable difference.
Would I buy it again? Probably not. I have a new appreciation for cream masks. With them I can control the amount of product I use and place it exactly where I want it to go.
Tips: It's very wet. Tie up your hair, remove any jewellery you don't want to get covered in goo and be prepared to rub, rub, rub afterwards to get all the formula into your skin.
