Garnier Hydra Bomb Green Tea Tissue Mask Review

Well, I am glad I tried this in the privacy of my own home by myself - have you seen what people look like using sheet masks?! Hilarious!

I applied this prior to bed and followed the instructions. Instead of wiping the excess gel off my face once I took the mask off, I dabbed some off and rubbed the rest into my skin to soak in overnight. This was an interesting product to trial and I am still undecided as to whether or not I actually liked it. Let me break it down into my usual good and bad aspects:

The good: it smells really good - really refreshing and clean! They definitely don't skimp on the gel product on the sheet mask - there was definitely a lot of product. It was also really gentle; my sensitive skin was not irritated in the slightest. Finally, my skin felt nice and smooth and soft in the morning.

The bad: there is A LOT of product on this sheet mask and I found it quite messy to apply. There is a blue backing sheet you need to peel off once you have it on your face and in trying to peel this off it displaced the mask totally. It is a really big sheet mask - it definitely needs to come in a smaller size for those of us with really small heads.

I should also note, my dry skin was no more hydrated in the morning. But I am not putting this as a negative aspect simply because in reading the back of the packet, the results were seen in trial after around 3 uses a week - so before I judge on this aspect I would like to use this multiple times a week and see if that helps hydrate my skin.

I don't love the product as it didn't miraculously fix my skin. But I don't hate it as I don't usually see results with face masks. Because of this I would continue to use it to see if multiple uses improves results - and because the scent was amazing, they are a good price and its relaxing laying down with a face mask on!

Who else felt like Hannibal Lecter using this?!?! LOL I've never used this sort of mask before and I have to say I'm really not a fan - the eye holes were too small so the mask came right to the edge of my eye, same as the mouth hole - too small and then the nose hole was way to big so I couldn't really get it to sit right.

All this aside though, my face felt nice while it was on - it was very soothing and kinda tingly in a nice way. I sat very still for 15 mins too scared to move thinking it would slide off or something and after I massaged and wiped off as per the instructions on the pack, my face felt good - quite smooth, not tight or dry and no redness like I've had with other masks. It felt like i had washed my face with a cleanser or something.

I don't think I would use this again only because I wasn't comfortable while I had the mask on my face.

I was lucky enough to be picked to trial the new Hydra Bomb Tissue Mask. The mask has Green Tea Extract and is for Normal to Combination skin which suited me perfect. It comes in quite a large foil packet that is very appealing, it would definitely catch my eye if I was to see it in the shops. The instructions on the back are simple and easy to follow. I ripped open the top and pulled out the mask, it's soaked in alot of product. The mask needs to be unfolded, its quite big. I applied it to my face with the blue protective film on the outside, but found i couldn't really get it on properly until I pulled the film off. I found it really stuck to my face well and didn't feel like it was going to fall which was great. The mask had a really nice cooling feeling on my face, it felt so good i didn't want to take it off. I waited the 15 minutes it said on the package and slowly took it off, the mask was still very wet, it didnt dry up at all. I rubbed the excess product into my face like it said on the pack, but I did notice my face tingled for a little while until it had completely dried on my face. My face felt a bit sticky afterwards which was ok because I was ready for bed anyway so I left it on and decided to wash it off in the morning. My face was hydrated in the morning when I woke up. I'm not sure if it was clearer but I would like to use it a few more time to see if it actually does reduce my pores and help improve the quality of my skin.

Loving this product even if I've only used it once. I was chosen for the trial team to try out this wonderful product of Garnier. I got the one in green packaging which is suited for Oily/Combination skin.

I applied the product for 20 minutes instead of 15 to make my skin absorb the product more. The product states that it will intensely rehydrate your skin, which is so true because it instantly rehydrate my face right after using it; also it states that it purifies and mattifies the skin, this is a bit tricky because your face will be all wet after using this product but I noticed the next day when I woke up that my face is matte! I usually wake up with an oily face so this is really amazing for me. Lastly, it states that it visibly reduces pores and imperfection, I'm quite not sure about this because I don't think it reduced my pores and imperfections so maybe that part is applicable to continued use of the product.

I will definitely buy this product again although it's a bit expensive than the other brands out in the market, simply because of its effectiveness to my skin.

This sheet mask came in a nice package, it was an easy to rip tear away package and the packaging was bright and had all the info about what the product did.

This mask came out with a lot of product on it which was good. I managed to put it on my face and then the only thing I found a bit weird was the blue side you had to peel off, I didn't really understand why but once I took that bit off then it was a lot easier to mould onto my face shape. I felt that the feel of the sheet was nice, it was thin enough to be able to stick to all areas of my face without falling off or not being able to fit somewhere.

This mask felt super hydrating while it was on my face, I have been battling dehydrated skin for awhile so I was able to tell that it was definitely doing something, once I took it off after 15 minutes there was still a decent amount of product left on my face so I rubbed it in and let it dry.

Immediately after using it my face felt nice and soft and moisturised but the next day when I woke up I could definitely feel that my skin was still feeling a lot more hydrated than it had been. This was really good to see as the mask does claim to hydrate for 24 hours.

Overall I would use this mask again, it did what it said it would and it was easy to use without hassle.

First off let me say that sheet masks aren't my favourite. That's not to say I don't like them, I just prefer a physical creamy product. I also find them to be a little gimmicky but that's just me! I was really excited to try this mask as previously I'd only tried Asian sheet masks which are super cute and always come in such lovely packaging!

I was really surprised with how BIG the packaging was for this mask! I don't know why I expected something smaller but that's neither here nor there. It's eye catching and would immediately grab my attention if I saw it on the supermarket shelf. I was also surprised at the sheer volume of product on the mask! It was bathing in it's own little bath of clear liquid and was incredibly cool. I applied it to my face as instructed with the blue side facing outwards. The holes for the nose, eyes and mouth are a little on the small side and I had to do some minor adjusting to position it correctly (this is much easier to do once you've removed the blue backing!)

This mask is COLD. It didn't warm up at all during the 15 minutes that I was wearing it and for that reason this would be PERFECT for a hot summer day when you need to cool down. It's very refreshing and feels soothing which I really liked.

It didn't drip at all which I half expected it too given that it's so wet and loaded with product (yay!). I removed it after 15 minutes and used a flannel to remove the excess product from my face after realising that there was too much left on my face for me to rub in. I didn't see any change in my skin after using the mask but my skin felt incredibly soft and very hydrated which was lovely. My skin is easily sensitized and I've had no reactions whatsoever in the days following which is awesome!

Overall I would potentially use this mask again if I wanted a hydrating and soothing treatment on a hot day simply for the relief that it would bring. It didn't change the appearance of my skin in any way but it sure felt great!

When I received this product I quickly went and cleansed my face and applied this mask.

The packaging was neatly presented, informative and easy to open.

I hadn't tried one like this before so was excited. It's easy enough to apply and the holes were a good size for my face. It was extremely cold which I didn't like. I used it for the recommended time and it stung my face the whole time.

End result did not leave my skin feeling any more refreshed (which is what I was really hoping for).

I was a little skeptical seeing that it claimed for really long lasting hydration, usually masks for me feel hydrating until I wake up the next morning. It was very slimy as all masks are and the blue film was helpful when putting it on. I put it on before bed and after the 15 minutes rubbed it in with a cotton pad to remove the excess gel.It felt really nice but the real test was to see how long it lasted. To my surprise when I woke up and do my usual water on face to wake me up, my face felt very slimy almost. This was the water reacting with the mask that was still there. It felt really good! My face was still so hydrated and I popped my makeup on for the day. It really helped eliminate flakiness on my skin when putting on foundation.

This mask is abosultely fantastic. No fussing around with a tube of product, or having to wash off a well-stuck product from your face or peeling off a painful mask. This was so easy to apply, easy to take off, smelt great and provided my face with an amazing cooling and refreshing feeling whilst on. When I removed the mask, my face felt very supple and refreshed. It removed excess oil, and prepared my face well to apply makeup on top. I'm unsure if it's a coincidence but since using the mask, my skin has become drasticly clearer too. I'd use this product again and i'd certainly try more from the range.
