Garnier Hydra Bomb Green Tea Tissue Mask Review

First of all LOVE the packaging - the bright colours make it look so beautiful! When I first opened the bag the smell of the mask did have a slight hint of Green Tea and it smelt so refreshing. Once I put it on my face, it instantly felt amazing - the cooling sensation was intense and felt like it was re-hydrating my face immediately! I did notice that there was a lot of extra product that was left in the bag, which could have been used for another day and a lot was on the mask and my hands were covered when applying the mask to my face. Also the cutouts for the face features were in odd positions. There was too much fabric on one side and not enough on the other, also there was random holes on the sides that looked like they were for your ears but there wasn't enough fabric for them to get to your ears. However after removing the mask and rubbing the extra product into my skin it felt AMAZING! My face felt hydrated, plump but also so firm and tight - i instantly wanted to do another! I cant wait to try the other two types!

My skin type is quite oily, especially in my T-Zone. I have acne scarring and enlarged pores.

When I opened this product, there was so much product in the packet! It was almost dripping off the mask when I pulled it out. This shows value for money.

I liked the packaging. It was simple, easy to read with clear instructions on how to use it.

The mask felt so soothing on my partially wind burnt face. It didn't have a strong smell which I liked due to it being on my face for 15 minutes. I felt like the blue part you peel off was a bit unnecessary but it must stop the tissue sticking together in the packet. The tissue mask was also really big. This means it will fit all face shpaes and sizes!

Once I took the mask off and rubbed the excess product into my skin I felt like my pores were tighter and my skin tone was more even. My skin still felt great the next day!

I would use this again for sure

I have always seen others use these masks or similar and was really keen to try one for myself so when I got sent this I was super happy.

The instructions on the back were clear and easy to understand and also came with pictures to show how aswell which is really helpful.

The mask itself had lots of product on it, but I found the 2nd layer that you peel off unnecessary as it was much easier to apply and put in place had it just been the one mask.

I left the mask on for 15minutes and instantly felt a cooling effect and over time it had a tightening effect on my skin and tingly feels around my t-zone which can get very oily.

Once I removed the mask my skin was more brighter and clearer.

I decided to use the product that was left on my face and rub it in(the packet States that you can rub in excess or wipe off with cotton wool)

There was alot left on my skin so rubbed it on my neck aswell. It does seem to become abit sticky after rubbing it in so I would suggest wiping excess off with a cotton wool.

Over the day my skin was still clear and bright which was amazing as it is normally dull and lacks life haha.

The next day however my skin when back to how it would usually look but was still soft, done nothing for my pores though.

Overall I would use this again but possible try to mask 2-3 times a week for my skin anyway.

I was excited to give this mask a go, my skin is a mix of oily and dry so I was excited to see what this could do for me! First observation was there is so much liquid in the mask, all the better for hydrating! It comes folded in quarter, after gently unfolding it it’s time to put it on. I found it fit a little funny as I tried to get it in place, the holes were quite narrow around the eyes and mouth but fit well enough, it was also quite long for my face. However, once you peel the protective layer off it’s very easy to mold the mask into a comfortable fit. I found it quite difficult to get the protective layer off, once I managed to get it lifting, it lifted the whole mask off my face as I peeled it off so I very gently had to maneuver it all back into place. After 15mins it was time to come off, I like that given how much moisture was in the mask, it doesn’t dry out and stick to your skin it’s just slides right off leaving a layer of moisture goodness on your skin. It suggests either rubbing this left over product in or removing it with a clean cotton pad. I chose to rub it in since I was just heading to bed anyway but I did find it left a sort of sticky layer on my face, which felt a little jelly like when I washed my face the following morning, so I would probably use a cotton pad next time if I weren’t heading straight to bed. My skin felt so good, and not just after doing the mask, it felt great the next day, and even more amazing after applying moisturizer the following few days, it just soaked up all the moisture and felt super soft and smooth. I’m not convinced it reduced visible pores or anything but maybe I just need to do a few more! All in all, this was a really lovely mask, it definitely deserves the name hydra bomb! My skin felt great for days following.

This little packet of wonderful came out to me to review last week. On receiving, I had a good look at the instructions and waited for a fairly quiet evening when I could crack it open. As I have pretty sensitive skin, I was skeptical straight off that it would do anything but was also excited to see how it would go. Taking it out of the sachet is a bit tricky but if you dont mind getting a bit of gloop on your fingers then you are all good. Un-folding it was pretty good, probably due to the blue film that is on the mask I would say, and this helped to get it un-folded without any tears, yay! Next, I put it on my face and smoothed it out before removing the blue film. It felt lovely, cool and refreshing, a nice surprise. Setting my timer for 15 mins, I sat back with a cuppa and waited... When the timer went off, I really felt like I didnt want to remove it as it still felt nice and cool. Removing was not a problem and I rubbed as much into my face, neck, hands as possible before finishing off with a cotton round to mop up any residue. My face definitely felt refreshed and hydrated and really smooth. I'd be keen as to get a couple more to try out over a week or so to see if it made more difference to my pores as one application I think is too soon to tell. Overall, it did a lovely refreshing, relaxing job which I was pretty pleased about, especially at this time of year when your face is extra dry and needs some hydration help. Lovely product and I will be looking out for it at my local supermarket for sure! PS.. a great price too!

I enjoyed using this mask. It couldn't have come at a better time... My face was extremely wind burnt and dry so I eagerly applied the mask immediately after opening the parcel.. Instantly cooling amazingly refreshing Delivering moisture right where I needed to. It was pleasantly scented very easy to use and apply and definitely delivers on the moisture content. I have sensitive skin and was wondering if it would be neutral or if it would cause a reaction... No reaction just blissful cool moisture. I was impressed with how easy it is to use and my skin felt fresh and hydrated. A great boost for tired dry skin

I was lucky enough to be one of the people selected to trial the Green Tea mask. My skin tends towards quite dry in areas, and of course the usual T Zone hormonal oily mess once a month! I absolutely love face masks so was really keen to try this one out.

The instructions on the back of the pack are really clear to follow – basically you apply the mask to your face (white side to skin), gently remove the blue wrapper and then smooth any wrinkles out.

It all seemed quite straight forward until I applied it – with the blue wrapper on, it has really narrow eye spacing and the outside of my eyes were covered. I was a little worried it wasn’t going to work for me, however as soon as I removed the blue wrapper, there was more room. The mask itself is quite large so I had to double it over on my cheek, but the placings of all the cuts and holes worked well so I got a good fit to my skin. With the mask on it really is a bit like silence of the lambs! I left it on for the recommended time before peeling it off and rubbing the excess product into my skin.

So – the results?! My skin felt amazing afterwards – incredibly nourished and plumped. The next day it was still feeling lovely and smooth and really hydrated with no oily spots. At $5 a mask it's a bit up there in terms of price, however I am completely sold on this and will happily add it to my mask range as a special treat.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review this tissue mask! I had never given a tissue mask a go so I thought why not! First off it does not in any way make you look pretty, my guy mate flat mate had a giggle at how silly I looked. The instructions were very simple and the mask was easy to put on, the protective film was a bit unnecessary and time wasting. I was not a fan of how cold it was on my face and it kept just about slipping off my face, it could be because I have a smaller face. It defiantly made my skin feel more hydrated without leaving it feel oily and greasy. I have sensitive combination skin, it didn't make my skin sting. There was a lot of formula still left over on my skin afterwards, I massaged it in as much as I could then wiped off the excess. It didn't leave my skin hydrated for 24 hours but it was for half a day or so at least! I felt pampered but I don't think I would want to do this weekly, purely because I couldn't walk around and do much at the same time it was on. I thought it was going to smell like tea tree or something along those lines but it just has a nice refreshing smell which I liked. I would recommend to my friends and buy it for a gift!

To ensure I got maximized benefits from this product I gave my face a scrub with a good exfoliating cleanser. I now had dry skin so the hope it would really absorb all the goodness. The mask had a protective backing like a sticker does to peel away before you apply to your face. I must say although the peel off backing was not the same material as the tissue mask I did want to put it back into the packet with the remainder of the mask liquid and squeeze / stretch out a second use from the product as there was plenty of liquid in the bottom of the packet. I applied the mask and I looked like Micheal Myers from the Halloween movies - a bit of fun for the family. The scent was nice a fresh not strong I do not think it smelt much like green tea though. The liquid of the mask appeared to be clear and felt a bit like a very runny gel. The results were okay but nothing that made me a big fan of the product in saying this I have only used it once as a trial not long term. Some of the liquid must have absorbed into the skin as there did seem to be a layer or film on my skin afterwards without too much shine. My pores were plumped from hydration but I do not think this literally shrinks your pores. Testing the 24hour hydration claim: I applied the mask the night before and in the morning my skin felt dry again in some places but the area around my nose was a little bit oily yet on the packet it says it does not leave the skin feeling greasy or oily. the film/layer I mentioned earlier was gone. I did not notice much if any improvement on my imperfections except that my skin was hydrated. Hydration can help make wrinkles and pores look improved but does not really get rid of the problem it can help prevent more from coming. The mask has hyaluronic acid which aides to brighten skin, restore moisture and revitalize the outer layers of skin. Green tea for skin has anit-oxidant and anti-aging properties protecting against free radical damages and delaying the aging process. Green tea can be used as an alternative to treat acne and brighten the face.Green tea has caffine which may help you look more awake and tone the skin. Green tea on its own can be used as a toner and help to tighten pores in the skin. Verdict for me is I will not be buying these anytime soon I have other products to use up and at $5 for one use when you can buy a tube with many uses for a bit more is better value. Although these types of masks are fun and ideal for travel or a treat I think if I really like the idea of green tea I will just make a mask using fresh green tea from a T bag brew. I was super excited to trial this new Garnier face mask, as it sounded like it would work wonders on my skin type. I have oily/combination skin. My nose is particularly oily and I also have enlarged pores in this area.

I decided to use this mask one night after cleansing my skin in the shower. I took the mask out of the packet and tried to place it on my face but the protective blue film made it difficult. Not sure what the purpose of this film is, but it's way easier to apply the mask once this layer is removed.

The mask wasn't quite the perfect shape for my face. The eye and mouth holes weren't wide enough, which meant I got a bit of the product in my eyes leaving them a bit stingy. Also the mask has gaps around the nose area, so it didn't cover the sides of my nose which is where I get the most oily. I rubbed the product with my fingers into these areas to get the full benefit of the mask.

Aside from these things, I did like the mask. It was very cooling and refreshing. I think it would be great to use on a hot day during the summer months. When I woke up the next morning my skin felt soft and hydrated, even though I hadn't used moisturiser after removing the mask. My skin was also not as oily as it would be in the morning.

Definitely give this mask a try if you have oily/combination skin. It's a decent price and it would be great for a summer pampering night.
