The smell is always amazing with garnier products so its always a go to brand. But I could not love this moisturizer! I found it quite runny and hard to rub into your skin compared to the pots that soak in without heavily rubbing. The bottle is quite slim so when the bottle gets under half you need to give it a good shake to get the moisturizer to move. One of the frustrating things I did find with this was I was not able to leave it upside down to move the last of the bottle down as the lid is rounded and doesn't sit flat, also because its such a large bottle a cup doesn't support the weight. It is cheaper than the pots and good value for money but I would happily pay the extra bit more and get a product that I can get every bit out of without making a mess and having to spend a half my time getting ready moisturizing my legs.

This time of year my skin always goes super dry and I was on the hunt for a new lotion - my Dove just wasn't cutting it. I saw this on special at the supermarket so thought I'd give it a go. I purchased the one for dry skin with she butter. It goes on smoothly and sinks in fast. It is quite hydrating, but I don't think as much so as promised - I can't imagine myself not using ANY lotion right now (as they declare), and I have been using it for about 3.5 weeks.
I think this will be fine in summer when my skin isn't as dehydrated, but it's not the moisture surge I need at the moment.
Some moisturisers out there are really oily so I've found this product is a happy medium for its price range. Naturally was attracted to this product because the bottle was pretty hehe but it was worth the investment and definitely a moisturiser worth investing in if you're looking for a moisturiser that's not too heavy with a quick soak in time and not too oily on your skin. It seems to last forever too!!! :)
I purchased this product in the weekend as I thought my current moisturiser wasn't quite cutting it with my ultra dry/ cracked hands and fingers.
I'm definatly one that smells every bottle of the product that I want before buying and I go for the one with the best scent, and I'm such a sucker for Shea butter. It's such a yummy smell! When I went to apply this moisturiser I liked how the product was nice and thick so it didn't slide off my hand but not too thick that I couldn't even get it out of the bottle. It was just the rite thickens. Plus it seamed to soak into my hands quite quickly and didn't leave that oily feeling.
With in the first day I could already feel the difference, my hands weren't sore to move and they felt really hydrated. In saying that I probably applied it about 5-6 times during the because it smelt so good and I like the feel of silky smooth hands.
This is definatly a product I would go back to, the only thing I wish it had was a pump lid I find those are so much easier to get the rite amount of product out of. There is nothing worse than getting too much out of the bottle and struggling to get it back in
I first tried this product out a few years ago when I bought it off ebay. I enjoyed using it but then moved on to other things when it was done. A few months ago, I saw that this product was available here so I picked it up from the warehouse for around $8 which is a good price for 400ml of lotion.
I have the shea butter version which is for very dry skin. This product claims to be a rich repairing lotion that will leave you hydrated for up to 7 days. I read the back and it says if you use this for 4 weeks, your skin will still feel hydrated even if you stop using it. I decided to give this challenge a go as i have dry skin and if i don't moisturize everyday, then my skin feels really tight and my legs especially get a scaly look to them. I used this for the 4 weeks and then went 1 day with no lotion on my legs. I felt no dryness or tightness and my legs felt smooth and hydrated. I'm still really impressed by This! I'm sure i could have even stretched another day or two with no lotion but I'm so used to using it that i forgot i was trying not Too!
The actual lotion is a normal consistency, by that I mean it's not runny and not butter thick either. It has a slight sweet fresh scent and also absorbs pretty quickly and is not sticky.
The only thing I slightly dislike which isn't even a big deal is the lid. I wish it was flat so you could leave the bottle upside down when it was almost done. Also I'm not totally sure the cap is travel proof, it does up securely but I feel like it could easily get caught on something in a bag and open up.
I will definitely repurchase this, just not right now. I currently have at least a years worth of lotion to get through but once I have, I will go out and buy more straight away. I totally recommend if you have dry skin too.
I was drawn to this product as I have used many Garnier products in the past and it was on special and a generous 400 ml bottle. Also, its claim of hydrating dry skin over a period of seven days appealed as I especially find my hands are dry, both summer and winter. I used Garnier Intensive Shea Butter Lotion for Very Dry skin and found it a great consistency and absorbed quickly, meaning you could pt it on before going to bed without residue getting on the bed linen. After seven days I felt my hands hadn't really improved but the skin on my legs had. I have continued using this daily, using the whole bottle. I conclude that my older skin needs a more intensive moisturiser for my hands. I found getting the last out of the bottle difficult and reverted to cutting the bottle open, as it was hard to balance upside down.
This is a range of lightweight, hydrating lotions, perfect for summer or morning application. The 7 day and 7 different ingredients claim is a little far-fetched, but it really is a great range of lotions. I personally have tried the bottles marked 'dry skin' and 'very dry skin,' as I figured my body could do with as much hydration as possible.
The product comes in a large but lightweight bottle with a somewhat flimsy, flip cap. Nothing fancy, but easy to hold and easy to use. The lotion inside is runny and lightweight, with a slight, standard fragrance. The lotion moves over the skin easily, absorbing quickly with a moisturised, shiny finish. To me, this product feels like summer in a bottle. It smells fresh and summery, is lightweight and cooling, and is a product that I would reach for on summer mornings or when I'm in a rush. It delivers more hydration than a standard supermarket moisturiser, and is something that I will always keep on hand.
Tips: The 'very dry skin' version isn't sticky or thick, so even if your skin is normal it is worth a try.
I purchased this from the Warehouse a month ago for $6.99, and I would say that that is a good price for the size of the bottle and good product for the price.
I really like the bottle, the packaging is a soft pastel green with different greens for the writing & picture which gives off that its a nice clean lotion to use.
I have the "Normal Skin" lotion and I actually purchased it without realising it said normal skin on the bottom...I have wondered if there is one for dry skin? My skin is dry and feel this absorbs too fast and too much and im left feeling like I need more. I dont feel like it lives up to its "hydrating" claim. I havent noticed any difference to my skin.
The texture and smell is really nice and its also easy to apply. Would love to know if there is a lotion for dry skin...probably why this one didnt work so well for me.
I've always liked Garnier Body moisturisers and have been using them for years. They do what they say they will and this is no exception.
I use the Very dry skin one which contains Shea butter. I love the smell and the fact it melts into the skin so quickly. It really does provide an instant change in your skin leaving it feeling silky and soft and seems to last all day.
I tend to slather this on my legs super thick before bed and find that when I have a shower in the morning it helps with shaving as it seems to mix with the water and make your legs nie and slippery making shaving easier.
Love this product, there is always a bottle sitting on my bedside table.
i love the sleek green packaging of this moisturiser, it always catches my eye at the supermarket.
It does say that will leave skin softer even 7 days after application but I always moisturise more regurlarly, especially my legs and especially when shaving/exposing to sun, sea etc.
It is a lovely light weight fluid, and a small amount goes a long way, I love the mild scent, and the scent does not hang around for ever.
It is easily absorbed into my skin and dries quickly.
It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple and beautiful.
For a supermarket product and the cost of this it is an absolute winner,
