This product honestly is quite good if u wear very light make up, if you enjoy a more pronouced*heavy look for your day to day make up I would recommend in investing in a cleansing oil rather than cleansing water
Pros: - Love the bottle, great size and snaps shut, so no leakages - Good value for money - you get a lot of product and only need to use a small amount! - Takes makeup off well, no harsh scrubbing - Smells nice and fresh
Cons: - The instructions say that no rinsing is needed - but I just found the thicker milky texture too weird and definitely needed to rinse this off - Not a standout product for me. Misceller waters are generally quite similar and work just as well as each other. I do love using misceller water for that fresh morning feeling, but I don’t get that with this texture.
Tips: Apply with cotton pad
Very generous 400ml size bottle with flip top for easy use (i would worry about the lid lifting if thrown in my gym bag). As a full time working mother of 3 teenagers, i have to have a quick and easy regime at the end of the day to remove my make up.. I love the 'lazy girl method' of removing my make up in front of the telly or in bed by using the versatility of micellar water and make up wipes. As we head into the cooler seasons with the frequent use of heatpumps my skin can become more sensitive with itchiness and dryness prevalent. I found the soothing cooling milky texture of the micellar milky cleanser felt lovely - a little bit went a long and did do a good job of removing my make up. I did feel I had to repeat the process using about 3 cotton pads and I did feel that I wanted to 'rinse off ' afterwards due to the milky texture feeling similar to a cleansing lotion. I found this product was more suitable for use on a Sunday light makeup for quick and easy removal as I found I needed too much product for a weekday full make up. I did find the taste left on my lips a little offensive as the micellar I use presently is tasteless and doesn't sting around my eyes at all. A great addition to the range of fabulous Garnier micellar waters.
Tips: You really don't need to use much as a little bit goes a long way - it just doesn't soak into the cotton squares as fully as water does.
I keep getting these micellar water products in my beauty subscription boxes, this one came from my June Makeup Obsessives box and I got a full size 400ml one. I use these up when I wear eyeshadow or a lot of foundation/powder on my face, but I still use my cream cleanser after and wash with warm water, just don’t double-cleanse, so to me these just take most of my makeup off first before cleansing as usual. I use cotton pads with this, so it’s a bit of a waste as well, to me these micellar water products are all duds really, I don’t know why we have them in the first place or why anyone would just use a cotton pad soaked in this and not rinse the face off with water? The milky texture is nice though and it doesn’t irritate or sting my skin, it is not drying, but I use my other face care products straight after, so not sure how it would be without a moisturiser afterwards. It might be just me, but I prefer a cream cleanser with a washable washcloth.
I liked this product as It left my face feeling clean and fresh without any stinging or tightness like some other removers or cleansers do. The consistency is quite runny so probably used more than I usually would or more than what I need. My face felt super clean and soft after using. The one thing I didn't like is the smell. Because of the smell I probably wont buy it again, but I would recommend to others. Smell is a personal preference.
Tips: As its runny pour some on a face cloth or similar.
First thoughts - great sized bottle and bound to last for ages. Quite runny so first couple of times I used it, it went everywhere. Makes removing make up easy especially when times is limited. Removed mascara well but I did feel like I needed to wash my face afterwards as my skin felt like it had a residue on it and felt sticky.
Tips: I felt my skin needed to be rinsed after using Micellar so I did and my skin felt better after that
I was a bit nervous about using this products as I have reacted to several Garnier products in the past. However, I didn't have any issues with it reacting. It did what it said it would but I think I do prefer others over this one and maybe that is just due to Garnier products not being so suitable to my skin type as other products.
The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Milky Water did remove all my makeup gently with just a few wipes and left my skin feeling clean.
This micellar water is quite different to the usual micellar water i have used. It’s a little thicker with an opaque milky appearance. After using it for sometime, i still have trouble dispensing the appropriate amount onto my cotton pad. I always seem to either not get enough out for a good cleanse, or overdo it.
Anyways, due to it’s milky texture, i found it less cooling on the skin in comparison to the normal micellar water, so for a hot summer day cleanse i still prefer the latter. However, due to it’s more milky consistency, it provides the skin with a nice layer of moisture. It felt a little sticky at first, but my skin felt nice soft and hydrated afterwards. Just think of a light milky cleanser that doesn’t need rinsing.
Like make up remover wipes, I like to use it to briefly remove my make up after work when i feel my skin needs a breathe of air. I would use another cleanser later in the evening for a proper cleanse. For a proper clean, i do need to use at least three cotton pads to remove most my make up.
So here it is.. a slightly more hydrating milky micellar cleanser.
However
I have tried a few Micellar cleaning waters and have to say I prefer the milky consistency of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Milky Water. I found it to effectively remove my makeup with no irritation to my dry sensitive skin but unfortunately it did cause irritation to my eyes meaning I needed to use a separate eye makeup remover. Personally I like to be able to use one product to do the lot so it won't be at the top of my list for future purchase
