Before receiving this for trial I was very unsure of how this would work as the word water makes you think of trying to remove your makeup with just plain old water! I love the packaging – its simple and pretty. Everything looks perfect in pink. But it really does look like the bottle has been filled with just water. The bottle is a very generous size in 400ml. The product itself is amazing at removing makeup! It feels as though you are using water it’s quite refreshing to use, as it doesn’t feel like you are using something horrible on your skin. It has a slight chemical smell but nothing very powerful. It was very gentle, no tingling, no tight, dry or stiff feeling afterwards, just a soft and very clean skin. I do have to use either 3 or 4 cotton pads to remove a normal days face of makeup but I guess when compared to the size of a wipe a cotton pad is very tiny. I have found you do need to be careful about how much the amount you squirt on to your cotton pad, as too much makes it more difficult to remove as your face ends up quite wet. I didn’t have any problems when it got in my eyes I found it quite gentle with no burning. I used this every day since I received and was very impressed at how well it removes makeup but I have noticed that my skin has started to become oily when I wake in the mornings, I haven’t had a breakout because of this but I would understand if this product did cause a breakout from the oiliness. I think it really is a great product for the price and how well it works and I will definitely continue to use this but will limit using it every day as I don’t enjoy having oily skin.

Thanks Beauty Review for sending me this product to try! Firstly, the size is surprising, it's humongous! Now, this product is suppose to be an 'All in 1' water and dermatologically and opthalmologically tested. Unfortunately, my eyes got irritated from the first time I used it, and although the irritation did not last long it felt like a burning sensation and it was a pretty scary moment. After I got over this, I continued cleaning the rest of my face and that was when I realized that this product indeed cleans everything :). Here is what I did not like about this product PERSONALLY: I like to use makeup removers/cleansing wipes that have an essence, this product smells like nothing which was not surprising as it clearly says "perfume free" on the bottle. However, I personally, feel like taking my make up off is an "end-of-the-day ritual", and like to use aromas that make me feel relaxed but as I stated previously, that is just a personal preference.
Tips: If you are into perfume free products and/or use oil-based make up products this product would be a good choice!
I've been waiting forever for this product to come to New Zealand forever and it did not disappoint! Although it doesn't remove waterproof mascara (which it doesn't claim to), EVERYTHING else comes off super easily. I just have to swipe over an area once to loosen the products up and then swipe again to take it all off. It doesn't leave an oily or sticky residue making you feel like you need to rinse your face afterwards which I LOVE (I'm a uni student, so sometimes I just want to sleep and nothing else). However I do find that if I don't moisturise for a while after using, my skin starts to feel a little bit on the dry side. I have normal/combination skin, as well acne and this does not seem to have broken me out at all. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
So it works, does what it says removes dirt/make up without having to use water or any other facial wash. It has a very neutral smell like a watered down mild face wash. My skin doesn't feel refreshed, it just feels as if I have washed it. I did have to use 2-3 make up pads to completely clear my face of makeup, which obviously you would have to purchase and dispose of. I feel like its kind of like using disposable nappies vs cotton washable nappies, i'm pretty green and I don't like to contribute to waste. Because of this I obviously prefer a facecloth and face wash mainly because its more sustainable. I also like the using a facecloth for the heat and steaming of my face, and the gentleness of just water around my eye and face wash elsewhere. It's not something I would personally purchase as I wasn't blown away by its cleaning properties and I don't think its a sustainable method. It also reacted really badly to the eczema on my hand when I over poured (easily done) so I wouldn't suggest using it if you suffer from any skin irritations.
Tips: Perhaps something good for traveling with a few make up pads in your toilet bag, as its always awkward asking for a face cloth as a guest.
I was over the moon when I received the invite to trial this product - I've been hearing about Micellar Water for almost a year now but it's never been readily available in New Zealand until now!
I have very sensitive skin and can break out in bumpy rashes from numerous products. I don't know what causes the reaction so I'm always hesitant to try new cleansers (the usual culprit) and other skin care products. Thankfully I wasn't too concerned about trying Micellar Water as it's such a basic and simple product and it has no noticeable fragrance.
I am officially addicted to this product! I apply a few squirts to a cotton pad and then swipe it over my face to remove my makeup (it does a brilliant job) and also to clean my face before bed even if I've had a makeup free day. It doesn't strip the skin of essential oils and it doesn't leave the skin feeling tight and dry. I actually don't need to apply moisturiser after using this as my skin feels so "normal" and hydrated!
It foams up slightly on the cotton pad and feels so lovely and cooling on the skin. I can't rave about it highly enough!
I love this product! It removes 100% of my make up ( including waterproof mascara). My skin feels nourished and moisturized afterwards not tight and dry like other make-up removers I have used in the past. Another bonus is the massive bottle in comes in. I will definitely repurchase.
I love the cleansing water! I have wanted to try it for so long and it has definitely lived up to my expectations. It is very light on my skin and removes all of my make up and leaves my skin feeling nice and refreshed! It doesn't have a smell to it which I think is good. I love the packaging it is in and is very easy to get the right amount of product out. I have dry skin and it didn't dry me out at all and I think it would be great for any skin type. I would highly recommend this product to everyone, I have never found something as good as this to remove my make up with!
I have always been intrigued by the well known Bioderma Micellar Cleansing Water, but, it has always been out of my price range and a little 'too good to be true' sounding, so when I heard Garnier was releasing a similar product I just had to give it a go to see what all the fuss was about.
Despite the hype I really wasn't expecting to be wowed as I have tried non-oily make-up removers in the past with little success and this looked just like water...how much could it really do?
Well...wowed is an understatement! I have extremely sensitive skin and often get very irritated eyes from using make-up remover day after day not to mention the stinging I experience with make-up remover wipes! To my surprise this doesn't irritate my skin at all, leaves no oily residue, doesn't dry my skin out and removes practically all traces of make-up (even mascara) with ease!
I don't know how this works, but, it really does work! It is better value for money than most make-up removers and more effective. The packaging isn't stunning but is simple, girly and certainly not an eyesore sitting on my dresser, so no complaints there.
I would 100% recommend everyone at least tries this out and I will be repurchasing it in the future for sure!
Tips: For this to work well soak a cotton round generously with the product :)
I was lucky enough to get to trial the new Micellar Cleansing Water from Garnier. I was looking forward to trialling this product because I was looking for a quick and easy way to remove my make up at night. I had been using make up wipes but I had read that they are not that great for your skin so I was keen to try something else.
I was very impressed with the large bottle that it came in and that fact I could potentially get 200 uses out of it. At $12.99 a bottle, I thought that was great value.
I used the product with a cotton pad as suggested and it did remove all my make up, including mascara very easily. I would possibly use a little bit more than suggested if I had heavy eye make up on.
After cleansing, my skin felt lovely and soft and didn't have that tight feeling I sometimes get from other cleansers.
Very impressed and I will definitely purchase again once this huge bottle eventually runs out!
Tips: Hold cotton pad on eyes for a few seconds to easily remove eye make up.
Omg i Love this! upon receiving this for review i was wondering how good it would for me, i don't wear alot of makeup as i have sensitive skin, but i gave it ago, even wore make up for a day just so i could see how it went, it took the makeup off easily, and left my skin feeling nice, refreshed and clean. I used it everyday (they were mostly makeup free days) and my skin has not looked or felt this good in a long time. blemishes have been reducing, skin is becoming softer. i will be using this everyday and then buying more when it runs out. love it
Tips: use a cotton pad, other wise you might use more than you need to and end up wasting it
