Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I have been using this everyday for the last 2 weeks and I am pretty impressed. I usually wear a pretty full on face of makeup and I use a wipe to get a lot off then I will wash/cleanse my face and use a eye makeup remover to remove mascara eye liner etc then moisturise and go to bed but I have started to use this instead and I am super surprised with how well this product removes my makeup I soak a cotton pad in the cleansing water and gently rub it over my face and it feels so nice, refreshing and takes no effort at the no scrubbing just light swipes and my foundation, concealer, brows, lipstick liner, mascara & eye shadow are gone and my skin feels super fresh & clean.

It really does remove they're real mascara!!

I enjoy that I don't have to rinse my face after and that my face feels fresh and clean and super hydrated unlike my normal wash which leaves me dry and tight.I still like to wash my face first and use this after to get off excess product the my wash missed.

400ml bottle says 200 uses for $9 from feelunique.com great value for money.

The packaging is super cute a large clear plastic bottle and a cute wee pink cap which is very sturdy/secure snaps up and down. It has the lightest baby oil scent and you can tell it is slightly heavier than water but it feels like water on the face. It is lovely.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I purchased this product off feelunique.com after reading numerous reviews and when Garnier stated it wouldn't be arriving in NZ anytime soon.

Consistency- This product has a water like consistency as the name suggests.

Application- I poured a small amount onto a cotton round and then applied it to my face.

Fragrance- I didn't notice much of a fragrance with this product, it is just very light and definitely not overpowering.

Coverage- A small amount of this product goes a long way.

Usage- Not a lot of this product is required to remove makeup, I use only about a teaspoon of this each night on a couple of cotton rounds.

Price- The price of this product is reasonable priced because it is such a big bottle. I paid around $10 for this bottle.

Packaging- The packaging of this product is nice, I like the pink colour scheme that has been used. I like that the product has a lid with a small opening so that I do not end up wasting a lot of product. I also like that the bottle is clear and that you can see how much product is remaining.

Results- I was impressed with how well this removed my face makeup, it was super gentle and removed my foundation etc on around 4 cotton rounds. This product removes regular mascara easily without any rubbing, however when I wear waterproof mascara (which is most of the time) I did need to use a seperate eye makeup remover before using this product as this product really did struggle with the waterproof formula.

Skin type- I have very fair combination, blemish prone skin. I get an oily t zone but other areas of my face often get dry.

Repurchase- While I did really like this cleansing water I will probably stick to my regular makeup removing wipes and the eye makeup remover I was previously using. I would be more likely to repurchase this product if it was more readily available and I didn't have to purchase it online.

Tips: Purchase of feelunique.com for around $10.

Best thing ever

I've heard plenty of YouTube beauty guru's go on about this product being a lifesaver, and I was very curious to try it. As an ex-make up wipe user, this product has totally converted me. The product does not irritate my skin and feels so refreshing, as well as removing every trace of my make up. While it isn't exactly (In the UK it's only £4, so around $9 NZ) it lasts for ages so it's definitely something I will be re-buying

Tips: Buy some large cotton pads to apply the product to your skin with

Garnier's Cleansing Water

My first reaction was the generous size of this product, and its RRP. The sparkling "water" look was slightly bewildering and I wondered if some slight colour may be a good idea since a small child could take this for a bottle of drinking water. The enclosed advertising for the product is excellent, every aspect clearly explained an d displayed and all Q&As; possible are answered. The cleansing water does what it says - removes make-up, cleanses and soothes. My skin felt refreshed and clear, with an "alive" glow. I found that it was unusual not to "wash off" after cleansing, but of course this is a toner/cleanser combined. Make-up applied afterwards was unaffected, but I wondered whether to use night cream or otherwise. Yes, a great innovation, economical and effective product, I hope Garnier bring out smaller sizes for portability as so many users are people on the move.

Tips: Keep well out of the way of children and possibly beware with sensitive skins as I sensed very slight eye sting.

Works really well!

I've been dying to try the Micellar water after seeing people rave about it on Facebook and Twitter, and I was so delighted to get to trial it!

I love the bottle, it's simple but really pretty - with it's pink top and clear bottle/silver backing - it looks like magic in a bottle... and it works like magic too!

A couple of squirts onto a cotton pad, and some gentle massage is all it takes to remove all make-up - including Double Wear! I couldn't believe it at first, it just seemed too easy! But after going over the same cheek a second time with a cotton pad, there was no residue or anything left for me to remove :)

The best part for me was how my skin felt after use - there was none of the stinging or overly-dry feeling I've gotten in the past with wipes or other types of cleansers. My face felt clean without feeling overly clean, and I didn't feel like I needed to immediately moisturise.

I can understand the hype about this product - it is so easy to use and it works so well. The ease of use is, for me, a big selling point. I far prefer this over using wipes, and I really love how my face feels after use.

good product, great price

I had been wanting to try this product for a while so when i got the opportunity to trial it i jumped at the chance.

Lets start off with packaging: i like the packaging, it comes in a clear plastic bottle, great for seeing how much product is left, and it has a flap lid that you push open. this packaging works very well and the sizing is very generous at 400ml. This will last for quite a long time. the only thing that i don't like about the packaging is that when you open the small cap there is a hole where the product comes out but it comes out incredibly fast! i always end up using more on the cotton pad than i mean to!

Now the contents of the bottle: when you first open the bottle you notice that it doesn't really have a smell like most similar products, so is ideal for sensitive skin. it is a completely clear product as you would expect and has the same consistency as water so very runny. i have found that it is best to get a small cotton pad, place it over the opening and squeeze slightly trying not to release too much product, then i run the cottonpad all over my face after i have cleansed. This removes any leftover foundation or eye makeup. This product works incredibly well, i have to say that it has now replaced all of the toners that i used to use. I have also found that it has replaced my mac cleanse off oil which is a product that you use directly on makeup to remove it before cleansing. if i am wearing a very stubborn foundation such as estee lauder double wear which i would normally use the cleanse off oil on top of to remove, i have found that by using this product and a cotton pad does the same job!! for a lot less money. so really there are 2 different ways to use it, before cleansing or after cleansing, depending on the stay power of the foundation.

All in all i will definitely be purchasing this again, the only thing that i didn't really like was that it is easy to accidentally use too much product, but for the price of the product it is worth it. Worth a try i would say!

It's finally here

I picked up a bottle of this a few months ago when I was in holiday in Oz. I quickly became a fan and promptly made requests to friends across the ditch to bring me more home. I would use this product in place of make up remover wipes or towels, I like the fact that its non drying and non perfumed. Its great to use to remove make up and is super gentle on the eye area. I also like that its non-greasy unlike other traditional eye make up removers. Generally my cleansing routine is to use this to remove my eye make-up and I may do a quick swipe over my foundation too, but I usually go to my cleanser and clarisonic for a super clean face. However on nights when I may have had one too many drinks, but don't want to wake up with a face full of smudged make up I will use this. I haven't found this product great to remove ALL make-up on my face and I would not use this in place of cleanser if I had a choice, but I like it better than make up remover towelettes as it doesn't have a drying effect. This may be just down to the kind of foundation I use (Estee Lauder Doublewear) which has pretty high coverage and therefore takes a bit to be removed! Never the less, this product is definitely in my daily beauty routine (I also think its helped grow my eye lashes - jackpot!) and I am super excited that its going to be on NZ shelves!

Tips: Great to remove eye make up. Stock up on cotton make up remover pads as you will go through them super quick! Perfect to use after a night out, or travelling in place of make up remover wipes.

Cleansing Water Holey Grail

I have been using this morning and night as well as 1/2 hour before applying my makeup. To be honest I was not expecting alot from this as I have used Garnier skincare prducts in the past and my skin would react to it . . . but wanted to see what all the hype was with this item. So each morning I would soak a makeup round in the cleansing water and gently apply over the face, eyes, lips and down the neck leave to dry before applying my moisturiser and lip balm and instantly my skin feels fresh and clean. I apply a small amount about 1/2 hour before applying my makeup and I have noticed my makeup application has improved slightly as it has more smooth, clean bare canvas for products to be applied to. But the thing I love the most with this is at night time when removing my makeup . . . I soak a couple of makeup rounds in the cleansing water, wipe one round over eyes and the other over the rest of the face. I wear Estee Lauder DW foundation and alot of waterproof products and I find using the cleansing water first before using my clarisonic and my expensive Michael Todd cleanser helps remove about 70% of the built on products so leaves less work for the other items which is awesome because then I save $$. This is an amazing product and Garnier deserves a pat on the back for this. for the amount you get and for the results you get the RRP $12.99 is an absoulte steal.

Tips: Once applied leave to soak into the skin . . . no need to rinse off.

I'm surprised!

I was super lucky enough to trial this product on here.

I have sensitive skin that really really really does not like any Garnier product. I seem to react badly even needing chemist products to help repair damage. I read up about this and was willing to give it a go. Taking one for all us sensitive bunnies.

The bottle I was given also came with a information card. Apparently 1 bottle can last up to 200 washes. It won't for me.

I've been using this every day and a few different ways to see what works for me. First of all I did the squirting on the cotton pad. Yes it removed my makeup and eye makeup. Even the stubborn stuff! It was a mission though! It took me 5 cotton pads using both sides. I tried this a couple of times as I was beginning to think it's not worth the hassle.

Next I squirted into my hands and rubbed directly onto my face and rubbed it in, then tried the cotton pad. It came off again but I still needed 3 pads.

Then I tried using a beauty blender product. Yes call me crazy but I don't want to have to keep buying lots of packets of the cotton pads. Doing it this way didn't really work.

Next I brought some cotton pads with more of a rough surface. This definitely did work better. It helped remove the makeup easier.

Finally I have found the best option for me. Using a face cloth with warm water to wash off the makeup until my face looks clean. Then use one of the cotton pads with the Micellar water in it. Now I can see all the grime that is left behind. I'm only using one cotton pad on both side. I use less of this and my skin feels cleaner. It's amazing seeing what's left behind as well.

Does it work.... Yes! Does it react to sensitive skin... No! Yay!!! Do you need to wash it off... No and it still won't react Does it leave your skin feeling soft? Yes! 1/2 a teaspoon amount? No I needed more.

I was pretty sure I would react even a little and I didn't. I love that. I was also certain I would be giving this away as it took to long to remove makeup, now I'm keeping it. I'm pleased I tried different ways of using it until I found the perfect way for me.

*UPDATE* I gave it away as it was annoying me not removing it without washing makeup off first

It's a great option if your going away camping or water is in short supply.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

This was a really light and refreshing cleanser which was really easy to apply. It was fragrance free which added I think to the light feeling. You didn't need to use a lot to get the job done and I think that it will be great value for money. It certainly does remove make up easily and was gentle enough to be used on my school-age daughters face when she used her lipstick! Packaging was plain and simple which I found refreshing. Results were good, my face can be temperamental but it didn't react negatively so it will probably be good for people with sensitive skins. I would definitely recommend it as a good cost effect cleanser for all.

Tips: I used large cotton pads to apply which made it really easy to cover the entire face.
