Garnier micellar cleansing water

A great product at a price everyone can afford,so hassle free and really does what it says however for me it was still a little harsh on my skin, but then I have really sensitive skin,I think it would suit most other skin types ,just not mine .It felt very refreshing on my face, and certainly took my make up off very easily .i would recommend to others as a worthwhile product .

Tips: Use sparingly ,a little goes a long way

So much hype

I was looking forward to using this item after hearing so much about it (I was especially looking forward to using it after seeing Lauren Curtis use it). Needless to say I was a little disappointed? The first few days I used this I removed my makeup completely with it and when holding it on my eye (only for around 10 seconds to get off the mascara) it irritated my eye and made it itchy. The other days I have used it I've been using it after my makeup wipes and it gets off the excess makeup that the makeup wipes did it.

Around the time I stayed using this I've had huge breakouts, I don't know if this is related but hopefully not!

With my dry and sensitive skin I guess I wasn't 'wowed' by this. But being the first thing like this I have used there is nothing to compare it to.

Tips: If you have sensitive eyes, don't hold the product on for too long or it will irritate.

Just fine I guess.

I was so excited when I got the chance to trial this product, I had heard so much hype about it and thought that it could solve all my problems - the biggest one being that I didn't want to pay so much for the BioDerma bottles!

I was really surprised at the size of the bottle, and the fact that it said that there is enough in there for 200 applications. I thought that this meant that the entire bottle would last me for 200 days - one application per day but unfortunately this isn't the case.

As for the product itself its just a fine make up remover, to be completely honest its definitely no better, and also no worse than any others that I've tried in the past. When I went to use it, aka one application on a cotton pad, I swiped it across my eye and I was disappointed with the amount of product that it took off. I then learnt that you needed to hold it down for 5 seconds and then wipe to get all the product off, a but annoying but i could deal with it.

I can say that I think that I'll be sticking to my neutrogena eye makeup remover, but will still use this for light makeup - definitely nothing waterproof!

And I would say that you would probably need 4-5 applications to remove all the makeup off your face entirely.

Tips: Make sure you hold down the cotton pad on your eyes for at least 5 seconds before trying to take the makeup off! Also doesn't taste all that great, so don't use it to remove your lipstick!

It's ok...

I first tried this at my mum's house when I was visiting for my birthday, as she got a trial through BR. I tried it after my party and thought it was great so I bought some for myself. Now I'm not 100% sold on it. It was good for removing my foundation easily but I've now switched to double wear and it doesn't take that off so easily. It is good for removing my eye-makeup but I do find that I have to wipe over my eyes quite a bit to get all the eyeliner/mascara off so it's not quite the "no rub" it says. Overall I wouldn't rave about it, but it's not bad either. It will definitely last a long time as you don't need much to soak a cotton pad which is a bonus.

Tips: Don't put a soaked swisspers pad straight onto your eyelids, it seeped into my eyes and stung a bit! lesson learned!

Micellar

There was so much hype around this product before it came to New Zealand. When my Secret Santa from last year added it to her wishlist, I sourced a way to get it here for her...and snuck in a couple for me.

The packaging is relatively simple, it's clear to show that the product is clear as well, and has a cute pink lid. It doesn't wow me, but it's functional. The product itself feels slightly greasier than just regular water. I got a bit worried after reading reviews that it might break me out. And unfortunately using it just as a remover and not following it up with anything, that's what happened. It was like it left a slightly oily layer on my skin - and while I slept my skin went to town...and broke out.

BUT! I love it as a gentle make up remover - it removes the most stubborn eye make up, it takes recently applied foundation off quickly and it even gets my long last lipstick off without making my lips feel awful. Its just that I have to follow up with something to get that layer off my skin, the 10 0 6 toner I use does the trick with a quick sweep.

I don't know if I will repurchase after I use mine up, the main use for me is eye make up remover and I would like to try another one before making my mind up. Will follow up when I do that.

Mixed feelings

I bought this after a lot of reading and took the chance to try for myself when it came on special.

I tried it as a cleanser on its own, and as a make up remover before another cleanser (this was actually my preferred application). I found it removed most of my makeup quite very efficiently, but my skin (being blemish prone and somewhat oily) just didn't feel clean enough. My skin would break out after using just the Micellar water on its own so I added the additional cleanser on recommendation from a friend... It really helped but I am really just using it up as a makeup remover.

The bit I like about it as a makeup remover is that it doesn't leave any residue on my skin... but I also feel that it should be washed off afterwards. It doesn't over-dry my skin doing this either which is really good.

I didn't like it as a brush cleaner... my brushes weren't as soft as when I use my kids liquid soap.

Not something I am sure if I would buy again to be completely honest.

Cleansing water

For $13 I thought this was worth a try.It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a pink lift top lid and label stuck to the bottle. The liquid is clear like water which you would expect. The top is not very secure so not good for taking in your make up bag and easy to tip out too much cleanser. I don,t wear heavy make up and found this cleanser was OK on my skin but not so good with mascara. I used it at night and on an odd occasion just to freshen up my skin and found I preferred it as a freshener rather than a full cleanser. I have dry skin and I preferred a creamier cleanser at night. I am happy to finish the bottle but not so sure I would purchase again. Price wise is is reasonable however because of the top it is easy to spill or use too much so I don't believe you would get 200 cleans out of one bottle.

Tips: Good for a freshener during the day on your make up free days.

Indifferent

This is one of those products that I actually like for a differing purpose it is designed for!

It did not work so great for makeup removal for me - it still required a bit of scrubbing to get my mascara off. It was lovely and gentle and didn't react to my skin which is a definite plus. But it didn't do anything amazing to my skin; nothing bad, but nothing good either.

What I actually really like this product for is washing my makeup brushes! It is a gentle cleaner for removing makeup off my brushes - better than water alone and not as harsh as soap or shampoo. It is for this reason that I would buy this product again (a cheaper alternative to makeup brush cleaner).

Tips: A great/cheaper makeup brush cleaner!

Micellar Just like Water

Received sample from BR to test.

On opening the pink lid & writing caught my eye & stands out.

I have been using for a few days now.

The product is clear & just as it says like water. There is no smell & it is refreshing to use. It leaves a very faint tingling sensation so you know you have used something but does not sting at all.

Overall it works but I do think that you do go through the process a number of times with your facial cotton pad wipes in order to remove makeup / dirt residue completely as opposed to when you just jump in the shower & use a cleansing scrub.

The plus side is it did make your skin feel clean & refreshed & I like that it was natural just like water...

Garnier micelles cleansing water review

I found that the produce definitely took my make up off really well, but the one thing I was a little disappointed by was just how much you had to use to cleanse your face. I think the product would last me two or three weeks max. Saying that, it makes my skin feel really nourished and soft after application.

Tips: Put some cleanser on a cotton wall pad and leave on your eyes for a few seconds before wiping. It seemed to loosen mascara resulting in easier removal.
