I decided to try this micellar water as I use the original one a lot and thought this may take my waterproof mascara off better... I was wrong. Yes it was more oily so it took my mascara off faster, but it left a horrible oily residue all over my eyes and face that it claims it doesn't have! It also made my eyes go gunky and stingy from the residue so I would not purchase again.

So I'm not a huge fan of micellar water, I didn't understand it and it was just confusing. I had tried it before, just the regular pink one and I hated it. On a whim, I shook up this at the supermarket and I was immediately drawn to the bright yellow oil mixing with the water, so I bought it.
To use, you shake the heck out of the bottle to mix the oil and water, and you pour onto a cotton pad of your choosing. You wipe gently and wah-lah, makeup removed. The bottle is huge, and you get 200 uses out of it. I have decanted mine into smaller bottles as it's to big to fit in my drawer, and I have a small bottle at my makeup station so I can fix mistakes easily.
I like the smell, it's not overly chemically, but it does have a slight fragrance that doesn't irritate my skin or bother me. I have a few mascaras that I find really hard to remove (Too Faced BTS for example, I have trouble removing) but this removes EVERYTHING with ease.
Depending on how much makeup I wear I use 2 or 3 wipes, both sides, to remove my whole face. This does sting slightly if it gets into the eyes but what doesn't when it gets in your eyes!? This is a really awesome micellar water and I'll be buying it again.
I purchased this on a whim about 6 months ago. I was struggling to get all of my eye make up off at the end of the day and hated scrubbing at my eyes.
This stuff works!! I have used a few other micellar waters that worked for about 95% of my make up but I was left with either panda eyes or skin that felt tight or extra sensitive.
This left my skin free of make up and because of the oil it was left feeling moisturised and soft.
Perfect for hot summer days when you want to take your make up off but can’t be bothered to shower just yet. Also works really well on matte liquid lipsticks.
I still have heaps of the left but will be repurchasing once I have finished this bottle. Wish they did travel sizes of this one too.
Tips: A little goes a long way even on a full face of make up.
I'm a massive fan of the original Garnier Micellar Water and I wear a lot of heavy make-up and liquid lipsticks so I figured I'd give this a go. The product comes in a generously sized bottle, which is great for the price. I'm not a fan of the lid as it leaks very easily when travelling. There is a bit of a design flaw in that the oil from the product causes the labels to peel off, leaving an oily sticky bottle, but that's just a minor peeve. The oil separated from the micellar looks super cool in the bottle and it does add a fun step to my skincare routine having to shake the two up. This removes liquid lipstick with just one swipe, which is really good, something I found the regular Garnier Micellar Water couldn't do well. Unfortunately the oil doesn't seem to make mascara any easier to get off and it leaves my eye lids looking shiny and oily. This removes my base make-up quite well. I didn't like that this promises to be non greasy but I find it always leaves a greasy, oily film over my skin and my pores get clogged from this if I don't wash this micellar water off. Purely for that, I'd rather stick to the classic micellar version as it removes make-up almost as well without leaving the oily residue. Aside from that, this is pretty efficient and I'd use this again.
I wasnt really a fan of the original Garnier Micellar Water to be honest but I thought I would try this one out since they are quite cheap. I run out of my Za cleansing oil and went to get some more only to be told that Za was being discontinued. Guttered. I was recommended Garnier Micellar oil by the lady at the counter and also another customer who highly recommended it saying it removes waterproof make up. It's really good at removing all makeup. Give it a good shake to mix the oil in and use cotton pads to wipe, large ones if you can find them and for mascara you will need to hold the cotton pad on the eyes for a few seconds before wiping, just to make sure it soaks the lashes for a nicer wipe, especially if your like me and pack on the mascara, otherwise the pads pull on your lashes if they are not wet enough and doesn't remove it straight away if they ain't wet. Only thing I dont like about using Micellar oil is that it takes awhile to remove all makeup, in saying that its not the Micellar oil it's the small cotton pads. Wish Garnier would sell large face pads to use with Micellar or even better reusable ones.
Tips: Try it, it's only cheap and its really good at removing makeup but I would recommend finding some large cotton pads because it can take awhile just using the small cotton pads.
I absolutely love this clenser for taking of any waterproof makeup I have on! It takes it off so easily because of the oil in it, plus it still is very gentle on the face, not drying and it doesn’t leave an oily residue on the face afterwards like other oil infused cleansers. I also find it helps to take off any residual eyelash glue which is amazing cause that stuff is a B$&@# to get off!
Tips: Note can sting a bit if you get it in your eyes
I got a large bottle of this on special from Countdown. Generally I use the standard Garnier micellar water (in the pink bottle) but I thought I'd give this a go.
The smell is light and refreshing. I can't quite figure out what the smell reminds me of, but I like it!
I give it a good shimmy shake before pouring some on a cotton pad. A soaked pad is plenty to remove makeup from my entire face.
Unlike the standard Garnier micellar, I am glad that I can use this oil version on my lips without them drying out. I can also remove stubborn liquid eyeliner, and I use it in the morning if there is any residual black mascara/eyeshadow/liner left around my eyes.
If you have oily skin the definitely stay away from this. It doesn't leave you feeling oily - in fact I always feel nice and fresh after cleaning my face with it - but I can imagine it aggravating already oily skin.
Tips: I will probably stick to standard micellar water as it doesn't have the added fragrance which is probably unnecessary for a cleaning product.
I recently picked this up from The Warehouse as they didn't have my normal micellar water which is the blue active bottle.
I like how it comes in such a big bottle as it will last for ages. To use you simply shake it up to mix the oil and water. It looks cool mixing up. I pour some over a large makeup remover pad and swipe it all over my face. This removes my mascara and BB cream with ease.
I have dry skin and this leaves it feeling nourished but not greasy at all. I get no irritation or stinging. It does have a subtle fragrance but nothing offensive.
I am unsure if I will keep buying this or go back to my usual blue one. Perhaps use this on my stubborn eyeliner which is hard to remove. All in all a lovely makeup remover.
Oh dear god..this is the only thing that can remove Estee Lauder double wear stay in place without damaging my skin in the process. I had tried numerous micellar waters before (Neutrogena, Garnier sensitive, Garnier oily skin, Nivea, Simple...etc) but only waterproof eye makeup removers are able to remove that mask of a foundation from my face. And they always ends up irritating my skin.
I'm so glad that I found this product and I haven't even looked at other makeup removing products after I bought this. It is an all in one product that can remove stubborn and waterproof eye, lip and other makeup without irritating my skin.
Tips: Just shake the bottle, so the oil and the water mixes well and then put some onto a cotton pad and wipe away. I use 5-6 giant pads (dia 8cm) for my entire face, so that I remove all of the foundation from my face. Followed up with a non harsh activated charcoal cleanser (Elizavecca Elastic Pore Cleansing Foam) Otherwise, I end up with break outs the next day.
I have found this affective however you need to use 2-3 cotton pads to get the ultimate results as it does not come out easily as need few attempts. In fact the fourth one was the one that came out with very little left over makeup. This is not full cover makeup I’m talking about but just a basic bb cream or mineral foundation. The skin feels very oily when you use it and needs warm water to remove all grease however the skin feels clean afterwards. It’s not as hassle free as I thought so if you are thinking this is your hassle free solution then think twice. I won’t say that the skin is not clean, but a bit of work when you are tired and want a magical touch to remove your makeup.
Tips: Use warm water after use to take off all grease.
