I found this really easy to apply and found I got good coverage with it. The smell isn't overly chemical and has a delicious smelling after conditioner. I enjoyed using this to colour my hair.

I loved the smell of these, all of there hair product smell yummy :) haha, i love how it has the three ingrediants so hair doesnt dry out. I use this every 6 weeks i am willing to try something new
This is a great hair dye! My hair always feels like it's had a treatment afterwards. Smooth shiny hair!
However because I have medium blonde hair, it usually washes out in a couple of weeks. I know this is usually expected (and warned on packaging) but it's rather frustrating!
I have a sensitive scalp so it did sting a little bit!
Tips: Be careful not to get it on your skin, it's a mission to get off!
I have used this brand for years, specifically 'Blue Black'.
I was reasonably happy, until recently when I started cheating on Garnier with other brands.
In comparison to other supermarket colours, Garnier washes out quickly, even visibly washes out, down the drain each time I washed my hair.
It didn't stay black for long, fading to a warm brown within weeks. Perhaps a ploy to get you to dye it more often?
Again, compared to other brands, the product did not spread as far, did not leave my hair feeling as lush, & did not last the distance.
To be fair, it does do the job & for the price, I shouldn't complain.
Tips: Shop around before being loyal
I purchased this product in the shade aphrodite to try tone down the brassiness in my bleached hair. I loved the colour out of the shower and for about a week afterwards, I coloured my hair with this approx two and a half weeks ago now and my hair colour has faded quite badly and I will need to put another box through of an ash blonde. It didn't dry my hair out, and the colour was lovely, and very well priced but I was a bit disappointed at its lack of staying power
I find that if you are looking for a cheap, at home hair colour then this is an okay option. For me, the colour faded so quickly that I had to redo it again not long after, and if you're like me and try to spread the time between dying as long as you can, this isn't the product for you.
Even on the cost front, having to redye it so often would end up costing you more than using a more expensive brand in the first place, so there're really no advantage of using this over another brand.
I use this in the shade Black Brown (Espresso) which is, as it suggests, a very very dark brown, almost black.
I have quite long hair (about waist length) and needed two boxes to cover my entire head (which isn't surprising, I have a lot of hair).
I found this a lot thicker/stickier than other hair dyes I have tried so found it a little harder to comb through the hair and a result found it didn't go as far as other dyes I have used in the past (which I sometimes managed to do my hair with only one box of). I also found it took a lot longer to wash out of my hair than some others but that isn't necessarily a bad thing as it did a fantastic job at coloring the hair.
I like that it was very true to the shade shown on the box and very inexpensive (I got mine for $10 on special at countdown).
I will probably try a different dye next time as this wasn't my favourite to apply, but, it does give fantastic long lasting results. The conditioner that came in the pack is also very nourishing and left my hair feeling fantastic.
Tips: If you have long hair grab two boxes in case one isn't enough and avoid an emergency supermarket run like me lol
I colour my hair every 3 months or so, I am not too fussed on which brand I use so when I saw this on sale for $6 I grabbed a box.
I dye my hair black and I have a few random greys so a sign of a great dye is if it covers those pesky little suckers, this definitely does a great job.
It doesn't have an overpowering chemical smell and I find it quick and easy to apply. I leave on for around 30 mins then wash out. My hair is left looking super shiny and jet black.
I am really happy with the results from this dye. Very affordable and does an amazing job. I would use it again for sure.
Was really excited to dye my hair brown. I used the shade 5 chocolate brown. I didnt expect it to fade so fast. i wash my hair every second day and even use the garnier colour last shampoo and conditioner but my hair is almost completely back to its natural colour after only 3 washes ): (i have naturally dark ginger hair) on a positiive note though my hair still felt really soft and shiny after and there was no damage. Im going to try the loreal hair dye soon because ive heard that one lasts well.
Tips: use two boxes for longer or thicker hair.
