i have used this product plenty on times on myself and on others, it is great for many different hair times and it also smells good and isn't as overpowering as some hair dyes. the colour does fade out due to sun and too much washing but it is an affordable price for what it accomplishes.

I've been dying my hair for a good 12 years now and every time I use Garnier it seems to fade out a lot faster then other products leaving my hair colour dull and lifeless at the end (Week 3-6) and I often find myself going back to my usual favourites early when I have hardly any re-growth. In saying that the initial dye is very easy and the colour does look fantastic. I'm not a fan of the smell of hair dye I find it to potent and sometimes makes my head hot. It has a good coverage and absorbs really well into my hair. Good product just fades far to fast!
I found this really easy to apply and found I got good coverage with it. The smell isn't overly chemical and has a delicious smelling after conditioner. I enjoyed using this to colour my hair.
So I used this for the first time I dyed my hair dark brown from blonde. I think that this hair product is very good and lasted I would say 3 months with my hair and I think I would probably use this again if I dyed my hair it just really depends whats on offer at warhouse when I dye my hair :)
Love this product. Provides good coverage and is a bargain when it goes on special in Countdown. I also love how super shiney my hairs looks after using the conditioner.
I've used Garnier Nutrisse off and on for so many years now that has to say something about the product.
If I had to pick one thing I loved about the product, it would be the grape seed oil - it makes it smell amazing, and not like your traditionally harsh smelling hair colourants. And it's great to know it's stopping your hair from drying out as you colour.
There are some gorgeous colours in the range, especially the browns. I would have to say the only negative is that they don't have the startling, vibrant colours that some other ranges do, but the colours they do have are beautiful and rich and lustrous.
Tips: I always need 2 packs, and I find a heavy coating of the colourant works really well so it's best to buy more than you need, rather than try and make do and not get a good result.
I've used the darker shades of this, and I found that it was pretty true to colour on the box. It worked well, and the colour lasted for a good few months. I just didn't like the heavy ammonia smell - but I guess that can't really be avoided. The instructions are easy to follow, the product is easy to use and it just works well. I also love the conditioner it comes with - leaves the hair feeling nourished and smooth. I do have a sensitive scalp, so it did sting a bit, and I accidentally got some on the face around the hair line which didn't feel great either. The only negative is that when it stains your nails, because the glove breaks easily, it doesn't come off easily! That, and the smell are the only negatives for me. Overall, I would say a good product, especially the darker colours, as those are the only ones I've used.
Tips: I use latex gloves as I find them to be stronger, so the dye doesn't stain your nails. Also, have a damp towel ready to wipe off any excess that gets on skin, because if it dries it'll take forever to get off!
I use this in the shade Black Brown (Espresso) which is, as it suggests, a very very dark brown, almost black.
I have quite long hair (about waist length) and needed two boxes to cover my entire head (which isn't surprising, I have a lot of hair).
I found this a lot thicker/stickier than other hair dyes I have tried so found it a little harder to comb through the hair and a result found it didn't go as far as other dyes I have used in the past (which I sometimes managed to do my hair with only one box of). I also found it took a lot longer to wash out of my hair than some others but that isn't necessarily a bad thing as it did a fantastic job at coloring the hair.
I like that it was very true to the shade shown on the box and very inexpensive (I got mine for $10 on special at countdown).
I will probably try a different dye next time as this wasn't my favourite to apply, but, it does give fantastic long lasting results. The conditioner that came in the pack is also very nourishing and left my hair feeling fantastic.
Tips: If you have long hair grab two boxes in case one isn't enough and avoid an emergency supermarket run like me lol
So I have dyed my hair a lot... like a lot. I have been many colours and think it's fun to change it up. A change is as good as a holiday right?
Garnier is one of my go to hair dyes. I think they are easy to use. The colour holds well and the conditioner is amazing. Super gloss!!
I would recommend you mix it in a mixing bowl with a dye brush (investing in one of these is really worth your while although in desperate times I have been known to use a toothbrush. Yup you heard me right) this is particularly good for doing regrowth. By applying to the regrowth first then working through your hair you get a more even tone and not as much hair dye build up!
Also it helps that this is very cheap (check it out when it is on special it is super cheap then!!) and I find it is good value. I have only used it for darker colours though so I can not say what the lighter/ blondes are like.
Tips: Running out of dye and still have more to go? If you are going over hair that is already the same colour you can add water to the dye that is left and work it through the bit that needs doing. Helped me in case of emergency ;)
This covers my greys well and I have over 50% grey. It is easier to mix and apply but sometimes I need two depending on my hair length. It gives and even colour on the lighter hair and lasts well
