I'm notorious for putting cheap hair dye in my hair and just grab whatever and still grab this product even though I need to leave it in much longer than the instructions indicate to get any colouring results. The upside of this product for me was that even though I have had the product in my hair with a shower cap on and had a nap with the product in, my hair did NOT turn to straw but my head was a bit stinky for a few hours afterwards - as to be expected. I was pretty impressed with the texture of my hair afterwards as it felt moisturised, probably not a good thing to do but it did seem like a win for a home colouring. This product is good for an emergency darkening but it's not really a candidate for serious colouring power.

I have used Ganier Nutrisse quite often before. It is a great price and often on sale which is why I normally buy it. The step by step instructions are easy to follow and it is fairly mess free (for a hair dye) to use.
I do find that it fades quite quickly and that my hair tends to be quite dry after using this hair colour. It comes with a lovely conditioner, on my short, fine hair it lasts for a few washes.
Overall this is a very good hair colour for the price. I have used more expensive ones before that I have preferred but most of the time when I colour my hair at home it is because I need to save money by not going to the salon so cheap wins with me!
Tips: If you have thick or long hair get two packets.
This one is great! It doesn't have any harsh smells and the colour lasts. And even better, my hair is super dry and after I use the conditioner my hair is so nice! Love it
Tips: Leave conditioner in as long as u can
I've been using Garnier Nutrisse for a couple of years now. Happy with the colour 7.3 which gives a nice warm brown/blond? Good coverage for greys. I tried a lighter colour 8.1 but didn't cover the greys as well. My hair always feels like and soft after the treatment too. Much cheaper than a salon dye - you can usually pick up on special for $9 or $10.
I love this brand, it's the only one I use! It's available at Pak'n'Save, it's inexpensive, doesn't drip and it covers all my grey's and makes my hair super shiny!
Tips: Make sure you've got everything ready before you start. Nothing worse than running around looking for a clip or a towel when you're halfway through!
I'm always keen to try something different with my hair, so I was excited by the opportunity to try the shade of this product. Currently my hair is light brown. The product was easy to apply - Mix as directed and apply to your hair. According to the instructions leaving the colour in for 20-25 minutes would produce the strongest effect. Washing out and using the conditioner provided resulted in shiny rich and healthy looking hair.
Tips: I cover my hair with cling wrap once the colour solution is on to increase natural heat and depth.
I colour my hair every 3 months or so, I am not too fussed on which brand I use so when I saw this on sale for $6 I grabbed a box.
I dye my hair black and I have a few random greys so a sign of a great dye is if it covers those pesky little suckers, this definitely does a great job.
It doesn't have an overpowering chemical smell and I find it quick and easy to apply. I leave on for around 30 mins then wash out. My hair is left looking super shiny and jet black.
I am really happy with the results from this dye. Very affordable and does an amazing job. I would use it again for sure.
I've been using this brand of hairdye for more than a decade! That's a scary thought.
It has lots of pros: - it's easy to apply - is a reasonable price (especially if you get it on special) - is available from supermarkets and places like Kmart - it comes with gloves that don't leak - it comes with an amazing conditioning treatment - I really, REALLY wish they sold this as a standalone product! - even though it does smell like chemicals when you're applying it (and also slightly for a day or two afterwards), it's not too bad and is to be expected really. - the colour lasts a long time, although it may change a bit over time. I have brown hair and use a mahogany red colour, which starts off for a couple of days as an almost black with red/slightly purple tinge, then changes to a dark brown with rich red hue for a month or so, then settles into something similar to my normal brunette colour but richer and with a golden tinge. I can definitely tell when I'm getting regrowth, just by the dullness of colour in comparison! It does a great job in disguising the greys too.
Tips: Add a little water to the conditioning bottle after the first use (and shake to mix it) to make it last longer!
I used this for a long time and i never had any problems. It colours al my hair with one application.
I liked the colout a lot its always bright and shiny. My hair always feels soft with the step 3.
Tips: Try to put on treat ment in the sam week as the colouring it tent to dry our your sculpt
I tried to DIY bleach my black roots to an ash colour and ended up with bright orange/yellow roots.
I tried the Clairol hair dye in ash blonde to see if it would cover and it did absolutely nothing.
I grabbed this as a last resort and holy mama, it calmed down the brasiness soooo much!!
I used the ash blonde colour and it did not turn my hair grey or green or anything.
Great colour.
