Loved this product because it covered my grey hair. It is a shame it didn't last long. It's usually on special and easily available. Easy to apply, instructions are clear. Smells not too strong.

Tips: Shop around and trial other colours.
I use this in the shade Black Brown (Espresso) which is, as it suggests, a very very dark brown, almost black.
I have quite long hair (about waist length) and needed two boxes to cover my entire head (which isn't surprising, I have a lot of hair).
I found this a lot thicker/stickier than other hair dyes I have tried so found it a little harder to comb through the hair and a result found it didn't go as far as other dyes I have used in the past (which I sometimes managed to do my hair with only one box of). I also found it took a lot longer to wash out of my hair than some others but that isn't necessarily a bad thing as it did a fantastic job at coloring the hair.
I like that it was very true to the shade shown on the box and very inexpensive (I got mine for $10 on special at countdown).
I will probably try a different dye next time as this wasn't my favourite to apply, but, it does give fantastic long lasting results. The conditioner that came in the pack is also very nourishing and left my hair feeling fantastic.
Tips: If you have long hair grab two boxes in case one isn't enough and avoid an emergency supermarket run like me lol
Went from black to fiery red, before trying this brand, I had tried other red brands but this is the only one that gave me the shade of red I was looking for. The conditioner is great too....I have very thick hair and it smooths and softens it beautifully, won't be changing the color or brand from now on.
So I have dyed my hair a lot... like a lot. I have been many colours and think it's fun to change it up. A change is as good as a holiday right?
Garnier is one of my go to hair dyes. I think they are easy to use. The colour holds well and the conditioner is amazing. Super gloss!!
I would recommend you mix it in a mixing bowl with a dye brush (investing in one of these is really worth your while although in desperate times I have been known to use a toothbrush. Yup you heard me right) this is particularly good for doing regrowth. By applying to the regrowth first then working through your hair you get a more even tone and not as much hair dye build up!
Also it helps that this is very cheap (check it out when it is on special it is super cheap then!!) and I find it is good value. I have only used it for darker colours though so I can not say what the lighter/ blondes are like.
Tips: Running out of dye and still have more to go? If you are going over hair that is already the same colour you can add water to the dye that is left and work it through the bit that needs doing. Helped me in case of emergency ;)
If I'm feeling a change or just brighten up my colour and can't afford to visit the salon then I'll visit the supermarket and this brand is regularly on sale.
Having used it in multiple shades, blondes, browns light and dark it's a trusted product I'll return to time and again.
The packaging could do with a revamp to modernise the look, but the photo gives you a good idea of the colour result and the packaging does tend to stand out with the yellow and green.
The instructions are very easy to follow if you are a first timer and the gloves are a good size even for larger hands (my hubby dyes my hair)
The smell is ok, won't make your eyes water but at the same time is still a little unpleasant.
Once all the dye is applied I normally run my large tooth comb through however this particular brand I do struggle to do so.
Once time is up and ready to wash out it takes a while bUT eventually you get there and the treatment conditioner is lovely and gives your hair a lovely smell and amazing sHine.
I find the colour does fade a little quicker than some other DIY brands however for the price it's a great buy.
Tips: Longer hair you will want 2 boxes for sure
I purchased Garnier Nutrisse in vibrant red. I got it on sale so was impressed with the price however at the time I have hair down to my butt so had to get three boxes to cover it all. I couldn't stand the smell it gave me a headache and made my scalp burn which I can only assume to be ammonia. It was easy to apply and I got maximum coverage. I left it in for the 25-30 minutes it suggests then rinsed it out. I found that the colour didn't stick very well at all and only made my hair dark brown/red rather than vibrant red. I didn't like the gloves they have in the package either. I have long fingers and the gloves were far too short so I have to buy gloves that fit to protect myself from the dye. All in all I wouldn't buy it again because it doesn't come out with the colour stated even though it wasn't dark hair to begin with.
Tips: Only good for a retouch or highlights to dark red or brown hair
I tend to colour my own hair rather than pay to have it done. I use Garnier Nutrisse because I trust the brand and have had good results with it. It is affordable and it does care for my hair, as it says. I recommend their colouring range.
I don't normally dye my hair, normally once every two years or so but when I do I always use Garnier Nutrisse. Application is easy, espiecially when you get someone else like your mum to do it. The end result however is really satisfactory. Colour has always been to my liking as it looks natural and hair doesn't look damaged or anything like that.
Tips: Use Vaseline on hair line or behind ears to prevent stains around these areas on skin. If you have long hair like I do, use 2 boxes for better results and use the conditioner that they give until it's finished.
I brought this hair dye as the one I usually buy wasn't available. It was cheap $9.99 for 1 packet and I do like garnier products. I brought 2 packs as my hair is quite long well past my shoulders. Mixing was easy squeeze the colour tube into the applicator bottle and shake. Application was easy I could get to the roots easily with the application nozzle. It has a very strong ammonia smell like take your breath away strong. My hair was a very light brown/dark blonde colour before hand I left the dye in for 40 minutes before rinsing it was Easy to rinse out and the colour care conditioner felt amazing. After drying my hair it felt so soft and nourish it didn't even feel like I had just dyed my hair. The colour itself though isn't the dark blonde like the box said its more of a light brown almost red. I do like it though for something a bit different
I find that if you are looking for a cheap, at home hair colour then this is an okay option. For me, the colour faded so quickly that I had to redo it again not long after, and if you're like me and try to spread the time between dying as long as you can, this isn't the product for you.
Even on the cost front, having to redye it so often would end up costing you more than using a more expensive brand in the first place, so there're really no advantage of using this over another brand.
