I used to religiously use the 'Cappuccino' Shade of this but recently have switched to the 'Espresso' shade, which is a dark brown.
As a starter...my hair is entirely grey, and I have been dyeing it (myself most of the time, at salons occasionally) since I was about 14. I'm 34 so over the years I've experimented with a LOT of dyes and colours, but this one is very consistent and well priced for good results.
In my (annoying) hair the colour lasts 2-3 weeks but this is usual for me as my hair grows SUPER fast. The roots are the only place that my grey shows.
The packaging for Garnier Nutrisse dyes is a distinctive bright green, with accurate depictions of the final colour on the model on the front, and on the colour panels.
The box contains the dye cream, the mixer fluid, a wee bottle of conditioner (so much better than the one use sachets other brands use!), a decent pair of gloves and easy-to-follow instructions.
While there is the inevitable chemical scent to this dye it's definitely not as bad as some I've used, and the natural oils seem to nullify that a little.
The dye works in the specified time frame, but I leave it on half an hour because I always do (oops haha). It washes out cleanly and leaves reasonably well conditioned hair behind even without the conditioner.
The conditioner though is well worth it. It's a generous size (I use mine for a few days after dying) and super strength, helping your hair to recover fast from the dye. I *wish* they sold the conditioner separately so I could use it all the time, actually!
The end colour is deep and vibrant, with a lovely gloss to it. It really picks my greys out and covers them perfectly, without looking fake or obvious.
While RRP is around $15 it's often on special for closer to $10, and well worth a try.
I brought this hair dye as the one I usually buy wasn't available. It was cheap $9.99 for 1 packet and I do like garnier products. I brought 2 packs as my hair is quite long well past my shoulders. Mixing was easy squeeze the colour tube into the applicator bottle and shake. Application was easy I could get to the roots easily with the application nozzle. It has a very strong ammonia smell like take your breath away strong. My hair was a very light brown/dark blonde colour before hand I left the dye in for 40 minutes before rinsing it was Easy to rinse out and the colour care conditioner felt amazing. After drying my hair it felt so soft and nourish it didn't even feel like I had just dyed my hair. The colour itself though isn't the dark blonde like the box said its more of a light brown almost red. I do like it though for something a bit different
