I really love this brand and product farrier created . I have a sensitive face skin and scalp type so this is perfect for me. However i do attempt to like the browns and Black in this range and they last for me around 4weeks as my hair grows pretty fast. Ammonia free and isn't hard to maintain after the dyes been put in. It does not fade then hair fast and styl has a natural shine to it, but thats after of course you take good care of your hair :)

Now used this twice. Chocolate brown each time, although I do want to try one of the more exciting colours. Great price when purchased on special at the Warehouse. Not too fond of the mixing process, it seems a bit of a waste having 3 containers to mix rather than just putting the colour straight into the developer, but could be useful if you dont want/need to use a whole box at once. Definietly left my hair feeling smooth & covered greys.
I used this product last week. Went to an icy chocolate colour. It done eactly what it said it would. It didnt have a a chemically smell like others seem to hae. My favourite part about the whole product is that it DOESNT stick to you skin. It just sits on top and its easy to wipe off, without the staining that other products seem to leave if you go over your hairline too far. I would use again without a doubt
I really liked this, the colour was what I was hoping for and it was easy enough for me to do on my own. I didn't think it had much off a smell which is great because it didn't stink out the place.
Tips: Try not do when on carpet or put something under you. best result I had was when I had used on unwashed hair. make sure your hair is full covered
This is a really good hair dye. I went for the light blonde colour. I really liked this product because it didn't make your hair feel dirty or damaged after you used it. It also didn't have that smell most hair dyes have, because it has no ammonia in it ! I personally thought it smelt quite nice. The user instructions were very easy to follow, and the dye easy to apply. I would definitely use it again.
Tips: Make sure the colour you buy, is more than one shade lighter than your normal hair colour - The pictures on the back can be very deceiving with this brand. I have used a few of the blonde dyes, and the colour shown on the box is definitely lighter than what your hair actually looks like afterwards.
I tried this one out in the Dark Brown and I have to say it was a rich, vibrant colour and I was very happy with the results. The smell wasn't over-powering and it was extremely easy to use on my own. BUT I am a salon kind of girl. If I ever get to the financial status in which I need to use an at home brand, this would be the one.
So let's start at the beginning.. I am a massive salon junkie.. so when I was selected for the trial, I was a little bit hesitant (and so was my hairdresser) with testing out the product.
I selected the Light Blonde shade, as it was quite similar to what my hair had been coloured previously - and it was going to hopefully match up to my roots pretty well to help keep my current salon hair a little longer. There is a massive colour selection with the Garnier Olia range - I was incredibly impressed, and if I wasn't so stubborn with keeping my hair as blonde as possible (so much hard work and money gone into it!), then I would of definitely tried a red or purple out!
The packaging is quite nice, when mine arrived it was a little damaged.. but let's put this down to my lovely neighbourhood courier not being the gentlest of folk. It did mean I didn't get to try out the awesome box holder kit thing at the back of the box.. but thats alright I guess!
Inside the packet there was several items - first being the mixer bottle which was an awesome tear drop shape, second was the developer which looked huge in comparison to most developers in supermarket dyes, next was a colour tube (cant remember what it's exactly called), and then there was conditioner, gloves (these were the best gloves ever!) and instructions.
So obviously I got to mixing. It was pretty self explanatory, even though I did read the instructions in case it was slightly different than to what I had been used to in previous dyes I used before becoming a salon junkie. Mix the colour and developer in the mixer and shake. I shook like a mad woman! The product smelled amazing, really fruity and sweet. Wasn't overpowering or caused my eyes to water.
Application was easy, the applicator was relatively easy to use - it was a little awkward at first because of the bottle shape and the amount of dye I got over the gloves which cause it to slip.. but I got a thick, even coverage over my hair. It did feel a little hard and dry compared to other dyes.
When developing, I did get a little freaked out as the roots were going orange - but it wasn't that bad when washed out. I went for 10 minutes on the roots and 25 minutes on the ends. Because I had a half head of foils recently, I was a little concerned it was going to be patchy and uneven but it covered it all and came out with a nice, even, warm blonde tone.
The conditioner was awesome, it made my hair extremely soft and touchable. Like I was severely impressed with it. Soft and silky hair! Especially after dying.
Garnier Olia is a great product, I'm happy that I got to trial it out and can't wait to use it more often inbetween salon visits to touch up my roots and to make my hair a little bit more cost effective!
Before I used the Garnier Olia Intense Red, I had pre-dyed my hair dark brown, then a friend bleached the ends so I could get a better intense colour from the Olia and a look I had been meaning to try for a while. The bleaching ended up being 3/4 of the length of my hair and very dry, but when I used the Olia it surprisingly made my hair feel soft and healthy. When getting the Olia I was glad to see it was very easy to prepare, absolutely no ammonia, and very easy to apply. The fragrance was so nice, and the shine I got from it was awesome. My hair is still looking very shiny and an amazing colour 1 week later and one big thing for me is that I am not getting the dye run like I get from other home dyes. It is definately a shade of red I love and will be happy to use over and over. Well worth the money. I am using the Garnier Colour Last shampoo/conditioner to really look after my hair this time and am loving the results.
Tips: Results are definately going to be different depending on the colour your hair is so think very carefully and maybe get a second opinion before going to dramatic with colouring. Otherwise have fun and love your colour!!!
I had the opportunity to trial this product at the comfort of my home and I really enjoyed. It was ammonia free - that's a plus which means it won't damage my hair.
The packaging looks beautiful and definitely looks premium. The application bottle was very unique and it's a great tool for sectioning out my hair throughout the application process. The price of this hair dye was a fraction more expensive compared to the other brands in the market. I personally won't purchase this product at its retail price unless it goes on special.
I have chosen the color mahogany (new color range) - I loved the outcome of the color on my dark hair. The smell of the hair dye was pleasant as I'm allergic to the smell of most hair dyes. The conditioner that comes along with the product was more than enough - it's enough for three usage. Overall, definitely enjoyed the experience of Garnier Olia! :)
Tips: Best to wash your hair the night before you dye your hair. Before begin, section your hair into four. I usually start from the back and work my way forward. Remember to blow dry your hair after dying it as the heat will activate the color in your hair.
I brought this in the really intense red colour they have. It's really easy to apply. And it doesn't have the super over powering stench of an at home hair colour which is fantastic. After I had washed it out and blow dried my hair the colour was amazing and I loved it. I had so many comments the first week. Unfortunately the colour didn't last very long, every time I washed my hair the colour became more dull and faded. It has now completely washed out and I am left with my natural hair colour, so I wouldn't classify it as a permanent hair colour.
Tips: More of a semi permanent than a permanent.
