I am one of the lucky ones to try and review this 50ml packaging Garnier moisturizer. What I liked, - the packaging design is nice. - the scent is soft and attractive. - the consistency is good. Little goes long way. - is applied smoothly and evenly. - moisturizes as it says. - Organic.
What I didn't like, - feels greasy. - takes time to completely absorb.
P.S. My skin type is normal to combination. I would suggest this moisturizer for dry skin and best to be used in winters.
Tips: Won't feel good on oily skin.
This moisturiser is creamy, rich and nourishing. It is quite a heavy moisturiser so if you prefer a lighter feel during the day, maybe this is best for night use only. The smell is a little odd for me as I'm used to a citrus scent but its easy to get used to. My skin always felt nourished and never tight or dry whilst using this. I would buy and use this moisturiser again but I prefer products that are packaged in a more sustainable way so will stick with my Ethique moisturiser.
Tips: Nourishing rich moisturiser, best for use at night unless you don't mind the richness during the day.
This product arrived in a beautiful matte box - it didn't look like your typical beauty product box, all plasticy and shiny. It screamed natural and simple.
The packaging is recyclable and the box is made from 100% recycled cardboard.
The moisturiser is a lovely texture and consistency, but it does have a slightly odd scent. I've never smelled argan oil, but I'm guessing that's what this smells of. Still, it disappates quickly so I'm not going to hold that against it.
It rubs in well and sat nicely under my makeup.
I think the claim of 48hour hydration is a little bold - but this is a good staple daily moisturiser.
This would be a nice product for someone just entering skin care use I think too!
I like that this contains organic ingredients, and from my reading of the packaging and online, it seems Garnier has really stepped up its game in terms of sustainability and environmental issues. The packaging being recyclable is a huge tick.
There's lots of information on the pack and well, its a face cream, how many instructions does a girl need?!
I've been using this twice daily and have found it light and soothing on the skin. It's non greasy and doesn't leave any residue. It is scented and I don't mind it - it's not my favourite smell but it's ok.
I do wish it had SPF, as I think all day creams should have that, but for a basic moisturiser it is incredibly hydrating. I would recommend to anyone that prefers a lighter moisturiser than a rich cream.
This moisturiser does exactly what it claims to do...provides nourishing moisture. I'm a big fan of Hyaluronic acid so was excited to see this as one of the ingredients. This lightweight moisturiser absorbed quickly into my skin leaving no oily residue, but leaving my skin feeling silky and nourished. My skin looked radiant and glowy post use so I was worried that it may turn into an oil slick during the day. I get quite oily during my Tzone by the end of the day usually but found this moisturiser didn't exacerbate my oils at all which amazing. My skin felt comfortable, soft, smooth and hydrated all day and the moisturiser provided the perfect base for my make up.
Tips: This does have a fragrance to it, personally I'm okay with fragrances and this one is lovely but I did find this one stronger than my other facial moisturisers. If you are sensitive to smells you might want to give this a pass. I love the packaging of this product, the tube would be handy for travel. It's also more hygienic being able to squeeze out your moisturiser rather than having to dip your fingers into a jar. Overall this is a lovely lightweight moisturiser that gives you day long hydration.
I really like the Garnier Organics Nourishing Argan Moisturiser and thought it did a great job at hydrating my skin. When I first opened the tube I thought it smelled nice and fresh, but when I squeezed some out onto my fingers it had a strange scent which I wasn't really a fan of. However, once it was applied to my skin I couldn't smell it anymore so it didn't bother me. I was very impressed that using this twice daily for over a week has actually improved my skin and some blemishes seem to have disappeared. I found this moisturiser was a little oily to use under a full face of makeup, but was perfect to use on the days I don't wear makeup. I absolutely loved it as a night cream as my skin still felt super soft when I woke up. The instructions actually say you can apply a little more at night for a more intense nourishment, but I found just using the normal amount was enough. I really like that this is an organic product and is not full of nasties so I feel I am being kind to my skin. It applies smoothly and is easy to spread. I will definitely continue to use this moisturiser, especially as part of my night time skin care routine.
Tips: Apply a little at a time as it goes a long way
This product really excited me for the sheer fact I didn’t think Garnier would ever be associated with or make an organic vegan cream. I love the fact it’s not tested on animals and good for sensitive skin also. I apply it in the morning right after shower and in the evening after I remove my makeup. It’s a supeiaonglu hydrating rich formula and glides on the skin. It also doesn’t absorb too quickly it really stays around and slowly absorbs into skin. I really felt it was nourishing and liked it that I knew wasn’t putting a highly perfumed formula on my face. I love that they have an organically range and even the packaging looks organic! I would buy this product and it would be a cream I would always have for everyday use.
Tips: Use as a base/ primer under foundation for an everyday semi sheer look.
The first thing I liked about this product was the informative packaging.They break down the ingredients list to describe the source of the often scary sounding 'chemicals' ie butyrospermum parkii' comes from shea kernels - who knew?!? I wish all products would provide this level of transparency as it contributed to my trust in this product being safe to use.
I was confused about one thing though; it calls itself a 'nourishing moisturiser' and I'm not 100% sure if it's for the face or body. The small tube size (50ml) makes me think it's for the face as it wouldn't last long if I was applying it liberally all over.
The product itself has a really nice scent and the consistency is thick and leaves skin feeling buttery and hydrated. My skin is quite dry and is soaked this moisturiser up, feeling soft and dewy for at least 5 hours afterwards.
I'm really happy to see supermarket brands like Garnier become ethically and environmentally responsible companies. Next I'd love to see developments towards recyclable/compostable plastic packaging.
For starters, the box it comes in feels like a nice recycled cardboard box. It has lots of interesting notes on it about the ingredients, their sources, and the fact that it is a vegan formula.
The product itself is smaller than I imagined at 50ml. However I was still impressed with it. It has a really nice smell that isn’t overwhelming. It’s not too sweet or floral. It’s a nice semi-viscous texture which soaks into skin quickly. Because of this I felt like I needed to use more product than I thought. It made my skin feel nourished and moisturised throughout the day. It was only near the end of the day that my skin started to appear dry again.
I will happily keep using this product and look forward to seeing the continued results!
This face moisturiser is one of my favourites, I use it every morning before I apply my foundation and it seems to keep my skin hydrated well. I've had alot of trouble with my skin being really dry this winter but I found this has done the job at keeping it soft and hydrated every day. I love the smell of the oils in this moisturiser its really refreshing especially earlier in the mornings when I'm getting ready for work it seems to make me feel more awake when I rub it into my skin. Will definitely be repurchasing!
