Non drying and light texture.

I have used a few different Micellar water before and have mixed feelings about them due to what ingredients are in them. This is vegan and made using organic cornflower water and organic barley water. It breakdowns the rest of the ingredients on the back of the enormous 400ml bottle. They are a bit vague about the source of fragrance used. They simply state from natural origins. What does that mean? It also contains linalool which can cause skin irritations for people.   It has a fairly pleasent smell although I'm not a huge fan of fragrance in skincare. It has a very light texture. It basically looks and feels like water. To use I soaked a few cottonwool balls and gentle swiped across my eyes. No rubbing necessary. It removed my eyemake up which consisted of eyeliner, regular non-waterproof mascara and eyeshadow. One thing I like about this Micellar water is it doesn't leave an oily film on your skin. So it leaves your skin feeling like skin afterwards. Unfortunately some did get into my eye and it did sting until I washed my eye out with water.

While it did remove my eye make up I'm still not convinced it's any better than my regular cleanser so unlikely to purchase in the future.

Tips: Try not to get any in your eyes.

The BEST for sensitive skin

I absolutely love this micellar water. It does such a great job at removing my makeup, cleaning my skin and removing oil and sweat without any irritation and stinging. It’s amazing for sensitive skin and smells great. I use this morning and evening and its become a staple in my skincare routine.

There is 400mls in a bottle, I only use a wee bit on a cotton pad and a little goes a long way. It retails for $14.99 and is widely available in supermarkets, the warehouse and selected pharmacies. I believe the product will last me quite a while before having to repurchase.

I’m always hesitant to use micellar waters due to previous bad experiences with skin irritation but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I love how it is a vegan formula, made with organic cornflower water and organic barley water. How cool is it that its organic!

I highly recommend giving this a go, This product defiantly stands out from the rest of them!

Garnier Organics Cornflower Micellar Water

The Garnier Organics Cornflower Micellar Water comes in a very appealing mint green packaging with clear and very informative labelling. It outlines all the ingredients and there sources. I love the fact that all the ingredients are vegan. The smell of the water is clean and fresh. I used to remove my makeup that I had on all day and was able to remove it all by using approximately 1-2 tablespoons worth on a cotton make up wipe. It left my skin feeling clean, smooth and fresh. Will definitely be using and buying again.

Minimal fragrance.

I was excited to try this as this year a resolution of mine is to used more natural/organic and animal friendly beauty products.

I am very skeptical about toners due to sensitive skin. I’m prone to redness and them drying out my skin. This didn’t do that! It didn’t cause any redness to my face, burning or cause any dryness.

It has a very minimal fragrance, which I didn’t mind. However I do prefer no fragrance added into my skincare.

I used in mornings to cleanse by face as I only cleanse with a toner in the mornings, so my skin doesnt dry out from over cleaning. It left my face feeling clean and refreshed. No dryness or residue on my face.

I loved this and will continue to used it. Can’t wait to try more from this range.

Tips: It does have fragrance which might put some people off. It is very subtile and doesn’t linger on the skin.

Different smell but definitely works

At first I noticed the smell it wasn’t the usual alcohol scent they usually have. I used it to remove my makeup and found it gentle on my eyes and rest of my face and definitely wasn’t as drying as other products I’ve used. I will definitely be repurchasing.

Cornflower? That's new

The first thing I noticed about this product was the smell. Coming from using a fragrance free micellar water, the smell was more than what I was used to. Using it on a cotton pad, the cornflower micellar water pulled the eyeshadow, glitter and base pretty much straight off my eyelid, which is a great sign! It was relatively easy to clean off the rest of my face with only another 2 cotton pads, so I ended up using slightly less product than what I would normally use. There was no irratation or unpleasantness when using on my face, and I would liken it to other micellar waters I've used. Being vegan, this product would suit those who are concious about the products they use. Personally, I prefer the fragrance free option as I am sensitive to smells.

Tips: Use on a cotton pad to remove makeup or cleanse your face!

A great alternative

I am a huge fan of Garnier micellar waters, and was very excited to try this formula. While it won't replace my usual (the water rose), this Organics Cornflour would make a nice alternative if I was caught short.

It works ok - it's not heavy on the skin and it doesn't leave a residue. It dried quickly. However, it didn't do a fantastic job of removing makeup for me. It took quite a go at getting mascara off, and even my BB cream. Normally one go is all I need, but I needed an initial wipe and then a follow up to remove everything. I also found my skin got a little dried out if I used this morning and night, so be sure to follow it up with a rich hydrating cream or oil if you too have sensitive skin.

The smell was interesting - I prefer non scented but this was all right, not great, not bad, just all right. Quite aromatic and floral, but without the overbearing chemically, cloying smell that can so often happen with cosmetics. The smell didn't linger long which was also nice.

Being vegan is a nice bonus.

Tips: Follow up with a hydrating cream or oil - I found it did dry out my skin a little bit more than I'd have liked.

Really only good as a light cleanser

I had high hopes for this micellar. An organic product suitable for sensitive skin? Sign me up!

This product comes in a normal squirt bottle. The water itself is a lovely light green, and doesn't smell like flowers, but more herbal. The fragrance is light, not overpowering and I found it quite pleasant.

But can it remove a full face of makeup? Well, yes. But, I found it would take at least three fully soaked cotton pads, on both sides, to even start to get no makeup residue. It removes eyeshadow really easily. I found it was harder to remove mascara enough so I didn't have panda eyes the next day. It was difficult to remove my liquid eyeliner without resorting to scrubbing at my eyes. I also found that the product would sting my eyes as I was removing eye makeup.

Additionally, the micellar left my skin feeling sticky after being used which was quite unpleasant, and would take at least 15-30 minutes to dry enough where it wasn't noticeable if I did not use any moisturising products immediately.

On the plus side, it didn't irritate my skin at all.

I tried it again when I was wearing only BB cream, and found it an easy and effective cleanser, so I would really only recommend it for a light cleanse, and not a full face of makeup.

Overall, I wouldn't actively buy this, Garnier's eye makeup remover is far superior and I can wash my face and remove all traces of makeup in half the time.

The Micellar Water I've been hoping for!

Firstly, I was impressed that the ingredients list showed where each ingredient was sourced from. It made it easy to see exactly what I was putting on my skin. The bottle says their Cornflower came from a renewable source able to regenerate which is so important for sustainability.

I found the scent a bit like aniseed which I don't like, but that's just my preference. I usually prefer my skincare to be fragrance free as I get migraines from a lot of fragrances, however this one is natural and it didn't give me a headache.

I was really impressed by this micellar water, I normally use the pink lid Garnier Micellar Water but it stings my eyes and this one did not! Even when getting mascara off where I sometimes get it in my eyes didn't irritate them at all. It removed my makeup thoroughly in no time and it didn't dry my skin out or leave any residue. My skin felt cleansed and ready for the other steps in my routine.

Overall I will definitely keep using this and I would buy this again, but I think this size (400ml) will last me quite a while which is great!

A nice-smelling micellar water

I received this as part of a trial team. I've used many of the Garnier micellar waters before, grabbing the OG when it first launched and even reaching for the milky micellar cleanser.

This wasn't much different - I didn't find it was amazing compared to the others. It smelt nice and didn't irritate my eyes, but that was the only major difference I've had with this.

I'll continue to use it up but I wouldn't repurchase. I do like how it is formulated with organic ingredients but as micellar water is mostly water, I'm not extremely worried that this is a non-natural product anyway.

It's a nice micellar water if you want a floral-scented one.

Tips: I always double-cleanse, so this is a great first step before using a normal face wash.
