Garnier Organics Lemongrass Detox Gel Wash Reviews

I purchased this after seeing the range on a trial team. My local Countdown had a special on the Garnier range so I figured it was a perfect excuse to try something new.

I love the packaging of the new Organics range - it definitely feels really natural and nature-based. I love lemongrass as a tea and love the scent so this was the perfect fit for me.

The pump dispenser is perfect for ease of use in the shower or bath, and dispenses just the right amount for a full face wash. It lathers up beautifully, leaves my skin feeling cleansed and refreshed without drying it out.

I since purchased one for my daughter and it’s definitely helped clear up her acne, so it really does detox as well.

I received this beauty in a recent Black Box. I can't say Garnier is not a fave brand for me but this one definitely surprised me a bit. The bottle is actually bigger than you would think. It is slim, tall and really does reflect the look of the organic aesthetic they are going for. It has a pump action top which is so much easier to use to distribute the product. The gel wash definitely has a gel like texture but is smooth to touch which is nice, I tend to use mine in the shower so that I remember to use it everyday. It just makes it more convenient in the shower where you can wet your face without trouble.

I use three pumps of the gel wash to make sure I can include my neck in the mix. The smell of the gel wash is absolutely amazing. I definitely get the scent of lemongrass first. The gel wash is very cooling on the skin and is so refreshing with the lemongrass scent.

I have been using it now for a month and I can definitely see a difference in my skin. Around my nose area was prone to blackheads but since using this gel wash along with a toner and moisturizer it is definitely noticeably clearer and no sign of blackheads yuuss!! Given that the bottle is so tall, it is lasting for so long. I think this will be one of those definite value for money items I am always on the lookout for. I mean who wants to spend loads of money on a small bottle...not me! I will be re-purchasing for sure.

Wow the description above is interesting I always heard that this brand was owned by Loreal so I thought it tested on animals. This face wash I could smell the lemon grass but it is not very intense. Yes it is a transparent gel and it did not seem to dry my skin out either but saying it is a deep cleanse i am not sure about as I am used to using a wash with exfoliating granules in it for deep cleansing. The scent took me back to my parents house - there is a tree there with this invigorating scent. I notice that Salicylic Acid is in the product which is ideal for acne prone skin. Bottle is taller than it appears online and slim. This feels like a nice everyday face wash but for removing make up and exfoliation i would use a wash that is not a smooth gel like this one. You can recycle the bottle / fill it up with something else. Like the natural vibe of this and may re buy it. The lemon grass is anti-inflammatory so could help calm redness and irritation as well as anti-bacterial and anti-fungal purifying properties. I have read that people like lemon grass oil as an insect repellent too.

I bought this on a trip away as I forgot my regular cleanser. The bottle is is excellent for Travel or a gym bag - the top twist seals and the bottle is not too big or bulky. This smells amazing and is a real treat to use for this alone. As a Cleanser - I did not find this particularly great. I am a pale gal who wears a lot of sunscreen and I found myself needing to cleanse two- three times to feel like my skin was clean. As a Gel formula it is best suited to oily skin types - and I did find this a little drying for my combination skin.

LOVE this gel wash. Was looking for an easy gel cleanser that wasn't too harsh and I am now on to my second bottle! Smells amazing and the pump top that can twist lock makes it super easy to travel with

I've been using this cleanser, along with the toner in the same range, since January. My combination skin becomes oilier in the warmer weather. That combined with mask wearing for work meant that I was breaking out a lot more than is usual for me.

I found that this cleanser, combined with a few other products (have reviews of some of these) has helped clear up my skin a lot, I I'm guessing due to the salicylic acid.

Like the toner, it has quite a strong herbal smell, but it doesn't cause any irritation or feel overly harsh. Cleans skin well, and removes makeup, although I do use the Garnier micellar water before this in the evenings.

I bought this Detox Gel Wash on clearance from The Warehouse and I loved it so much, it's my favourite of all time. Firstly, this cleanser smells so good!! If you love the smell of lemongrass then you will love this, it has such a nice fresh clean smell to it but not too strong either just really refreshing. It's very gentle on my skin as some products are drying and irritate my skin. I'm actually on the hunt to buy some more because i loved it so much but The Warehouse don't seem to sell it anymore which is disappointing.

I always enjoy trying a new cleanser. Cleansing is an important part of my skin care regime. Firstly, the scent, it is amazing! I absolutely love it! Such a clean, fresh scent. To use this cleanser, I just use one pump, that will clean my whole face. I add a touch of water and it foams as it gently cleanses my face. It really feels luxurious. After I rinse this off my face just feels fabulous. I am really satisfied with this cleanser.
