Garnier Organics Lemongrass Detox Gel Wash Reviews

This foam cleanser has a strong fragrance. It pumps nicely out of the bottle in a smooth foam and is easy to spread around the face. I didn’t get the tight-skin feeling that other cleansers sometimes give (this is good for me).

I felt like the cleanser did a good job cleaning my skin, and the only thing I didn't like was the smell. The bottle is cute and petite. The pump can lock, which is a massive plus as I take it to the gym.

If you like lemongrass, then you will like this cleanser as the smell is the only thing that put me off.

This face wash is neither bad, nor good. It has a pleasant smell of lemongrass that isn't overpowering. It felt like it cleaned my skin fairly well and didn't dry my skin out like some face washes do. BUT I do suffer from mild skin breakouts occasionally and this didn't do anything to help combat that so on that reason alone I wouldn't continue using it.

I personally am not a big fan of the strong lemongrass scent. This cleanser left my skin really nice and clean. I have not experienced any breakouts after using, and my skin can be quite sensitive. I tried this product on a foreo cleansing brush and it works really well too. I love the fact that there is a pump on the bottle, it makes it easy to use. Do be careful not to yet this cleanser anywhere near your eyes, it STINGS.

I used this in my nightly skin routine. There was definitely some things I loved but also some things that could be improved. So I gave it an average rating.

Positives... It did give a good deep clean. It was nice and light yet went a long way. Washed off the skin easy. Didnt leave residue. Had a decent size pump on the bottle. Organic and vegan, something I am becoming more aware off when looking a products.

Things that needed work... I love a cleanser that really foams up, this didn't but still gave a good clean. There is just something so satisfying and feels like a deep clean. The smell! It is way to overpowering. It's a fresh smell but one that took over the whole shower. Even when I didnt use it I could smell it from the bottle. This is personal so you may love the smell. Little bit too runny, slides off the hands easy if you dont move fast. Interested to see how the pump works when it is running out? Cant comment yet but it is something I am aware of as sometimes can be hard to get last of the product out with a pump.

Overall yes my skin felt clean but I dont feel this product is quite there yet.

This detox gel wash is certainly fresh! With the first pump it just hits you with its scent - definitely can smell the lemongrass. It is a bit intense for me and it did make me want to speed wash and rinse to try and dilute the power shot of fresh.

The gel wash felt nice on my skin and I felt I had a really clean face after using it. It didn't react with my sensitive skin which is nice considering it is aimed for normal to combination skin.

I love the pump action bottle which controls nicely how much you get at once and I think the design of the bottle is clean and crisp.

Love that is states that the lemongrass was grown in Sri Lanka and that it is a vegan product. On the back it also shows the source of all of the ingredients which is a really nice touch. There is a big difference with saying something is vegan and or organic, but having that information on the bottle makes it a lot more believable.

Best part is that the bottle is made with 100% recycled plastic and is recyclable.

Great product and I will continue to use it, just be wary of the scent.

I have been using the Lemongrass Detox Gel Wash for about a week now, and even though I love that it’s vegan and made with organic ingredients it just wasn’t for me..

The smell is extremely strong, but it may be just off putting because I don’t like the smell of lemongrass.

It does do what it says by removing dirt and doesn’t dry out the skin afterwards but it doesn’t give a really good clean feeling after using it. I sometimes find this happens with gel washes rather than cream washes. I sometimes feel I need to give my skin an exfoliate afterwards to make it feel more clean and completely get rid of all dirt.

I will sadly not purchase this in any future skincare shopping.

I bought this on a trip away as I forgot my regular cleanser. The bottle is is excellent for Travel or a gym bag - the top twist seals and the bottle is not too big or bulky. This smells amazing and is a real treat to use for this alone. As a Cleanser - I did not find this particularly great. I am a pale gal who wears a lot of sunscreen and I found myself needing to cleanse two- three times to feel like my skin was clean. As a Gel formula it is best suited to oily skin types - and I did find this a little drying for my combination skin.

The face wash from this range is a gel wash that foams up really nicely. It leaves your skin feeling very clean and refreshed...but it feels like it leaves your skin very tight and dry. If you have normal to dry skin I wouldn’t recommend using it.

The gel is in a clear plastic bottle with white pladtic pump dispenser, making dispensing easy.

The cleansing gel is really thick. My skin is combination/ oily and the gel has managed to keep oiliness at bay. However hasn't been great at any deep cleaning in my pores at all. My skin has broken out just as much as it usually would.

The gel smells strongly of lemongrass and using the product is pleasantly refreshing, ince you get over working with a thick gel.
